You shouldn't have to edit your persistenence just the Rover command part cfg and reload the game if you had it running. -

CIT_Util seems to be working in the debug menu with 1.0.0.0 but I don't see nodehelper Do you have toolbar installed ? -

There in the zip file you downloaded every pack has a ship folder in it just open the zip and copy them to KSP\ship\VAB folder in it's a career game KSP\saves\ name of your career here \Ships\ VAB Hope it helps. -
Woohoo update time for a Duna run and hope for a snow landing hehe and check out them Rockets. EDIT- Whoops got to see the snow but thought, I was decoupling empty tank and engine and whoops heat shield went with it so came in alittle to fast Hope there's alot of Rockets in stock ( Hey YANFRET I need to order more Rockets I made a part pack out of that one )

File size don't matter only way, I have found and it's just a rough way is to have a stock install and guess you could delete the stock folder also to get it better then put you mod in and goto debug for right tab think it is and check the memory being used.

That looks pretty sharp -
You say KAS you mean KIS ? and would think you could pick a part and surface attach it with KIS and then you might have to edit the flex tube to attach to the node of the part.

Or if you still have the files you could make them work with the new stuff or make any engine work just would have to look at the cfg file.
