  1. It's not an aero issue, it's a control issue that only affects the gimbaling of engines on the roll axis. It is also solved by putting a probe core in the BFS, but this is a hassle, because I have to manually select the probe core every time before launch. The BFR stack is also really fragile, the junctions between parts are super weak. The rocket breaks on ascent, with parts of the BFR and BFS separating midflight without warning.
  2. I'm having an issue with roll on the BFR, when I press E or Q (the roll keys), it yaws instead of rolls. What to do?
  3. will the tanker version be a chomper that you can put fuel or raw materials in, or will it be just a big fuel/resource tank?
  4. the Shuttle was 38m long, BFS is 55m long IRL. This comparison does actually look accurate.
  5. Stock crew cabins have such high crash resistance, why should TE's BFS be any different? Racecar drivers have been known to survive crashes faster than 100mph, and Kerbals are more durable than people.
  6. the BFS crew cabin's crash resistance is too low. Its resistance is 20m/s, the Mk3 crew cabin has 50m/s crash resistance, the mk1-3 command pod has 45m/s. I think that it should be raised to at least 45m/s.
  7. Due to the bigger wings on the new BFS, I was able to perform an unpowered horizontal landing on water, all but one of the parts are intact, and all of the crew survived. I wonder if this would be possible IRL? I had this same issue when I first installed all of the dependencies. The BFS originally had no fuel, B9 part switch fixed that, but it didn't fix the BFB. No mods that I know of that would cause issues.
  8. The BFB fuel tank has no fuel in it, but all the other tanks do, what to do? The RCS is also underpowered IMO. The ship is painfully sluggish when translating up down, left right, and forward and backward.
  9. Elon said that cargo pods could be swapped out for vacuum engines, will this be added in the future?
  10. Can you put the 3d models that you made for this mod on Thingiverse? It would be great to be able to print the models in this mod.
  11. the BFS in my save breaks up quite easily. The ship frequently breaks up into 3 pieces, and the dorsal fin is quite wiggly.
  12. A minor issue with the Dragon 2 is that it can't dock to the BFS because the shroud won't open far enough (it opens about 135 degrees, if it opened 180 degrees, it would be able to dock). A telescoping docking port for the BFS would also solve the issue, though that sounds harder to do than making the Dragon 2 docking port shield open wider.
  13. A cool thing that I was able to do with the large cargo bay that the BFS is equipped with is that I can fit a small shuttle inside the ship.
  14. the model is beautiful, my only gripes so far are the low crash resistance of the crew cabin and the underpowered (in atmosphere) RCS, (I can fix those in the config files, but not everyone knows how to do that, and they shouldn't be too hard for you to change).
  15. That loos like the "issue" I have been having. It's probably just that PDCs are less effective than they used to be.
