  1. Got it to a satisfactory standard with the hinges, but the wings still flex when pulling on the stick. Hopefully we can find a way to fix the flexing.
  2. Before I finish up my F-14, I'm gonna mess around with the joints and see what they can do first. A little truck with a truck bed for launching things. Clearly the launch of the cargo kind of wrecked the truck bed. Folding wing design with the hinges.
  3. Nothing much, just practicing landings.
  4. Its already done, I'm just waiting for the DLC to be released to complete it with the variable sweep wing.
  5. Prepared myself with something that will finally be complete once the Breaking Ground DLC comes in.
  6. Nah, its not a bug but rather, how the SAS works in the game currently. We just have to wait for Squad to improve this, or use mods to get the SAS we desire.
  7. "Can anyone hear me? That aircraft needs to be taken care of!"
  8. The issue is more prominent when you're flying an aircraft. When you make a change to the heading, maybe pitch up, down, roll a bit, whatever, the SAS turns off completely for the duration that you are making a change in heading, which leads to things like your aircraft pitching down on its own as you roll or yaw. The 3 axis should be independent, as in when you take control of one axis to change the heading, the other 2 axis should still have SAS working on them so you don't have to countersteer with a slight pitch when you just want to roll for a gentle bank.
  9. In celebration of the reveal of the Ace Combat 7 DLCs, I decided to make a Raven of my own. The main body can be decoupled as well. Just a lack of the swing wing mechanism. Its rather sensitive though, gotta have to fine tune it. As a whole it flies pretty damn well, pulling tight turns(maxing out at 12 Gs in a turn in my casual tests) and being rather stable(after clipping some parts in for yaw stability)
  10. Shifted the wing pieces a little not just for looks but also to shift the CoL. It flies good now. The usual load test. Its my first dual seater with a nose that points downwards. Pretty alright for a first I think.
  11. Started building a plane and eventually decided to rebuild the thing. When I took off one of the major components which everything else is linked to, I realised that removed half of the plane looks very promising. Refer to the ghosted parts below. With some added parts and a cockpit/drone core, that half of the plane flew amazingly. The rebuilt plane however requires more work to be of satisfactory standard.
  12. Slight adjustment of the landing wheels followed by another attempt to see if it would take a Mk 1 based belly tank. Sadly, no. The tank shifts the CoM lower than the CoT. And its done. Time to move on to the next plane.
  13. The usual load test. Too low for the standard Mk1 sized drop tank. Shame, the undercarriage was wide. Pretty ugly on the bottom side as well, always room for improvements.
  14. Studied the designs of some great creators and decided to apply what I learned from it.
  15. Quick attempt at using Scatterer. Maybe I should look into more graphics mods.
  16. Load tests for the 32-2. Added an additional belly hardpoint at the end to differentiate it from the 32 which could take a single Mk1-sized belly tank(and the 32-2 could only take Mk0 belly tanks) by letting it take 2 Mk0 belly tanks. Finalised version with a drop tank as default.
  17. Beginning work on something that uses the same main body as the Sideproject.
  18. How about inline landing wheels so planes can look more aesthetically pleasing without the landing wheels part sticking out of the wing/body of the plane or having to clip the wheel into the plane which leads to the appearance of wheels "magically" appearing out of the body of the plane when you deploy them for landing?
  19. As always, the problem often just requires a simple solution. The Sideproject just needed more lift and all I had to do was add in a little more wing parts. Took the chance to try out something I've learned from studying other people's aircraft designs right there in the center. Back to the Mainproject with my new knowledge from working on the Sideproject!
  20. And as always, when you think you made it flyable, it proceeds to fail when you're doing a second test. Back to the drawing board.
  21. Or you click on the number its currently on and you just type in whichever value you need.
