  1. The part is attached to a mobile processing lab with a scientist on a ship that has both IHAL computer core and a pilot. The part itself doesn't have a "reset material bay" button, and "Clean experiments" from the mobile processing lab doesn't clean it (but does clean other modules). When clicking "Observe material bay" I get a message "no more samples can be collected". Could it be related to the fact that the science from the experiments was transferred to the IHAL?
  2. It appears that as of late, the sc-901 science micro lab can't be reset/cleaned (tried both in EVA by a level 4 scientist and from the mobile processing lab it was attached to). Has anybody else got this problem? Is this intentional?
  3. Actually, I only saw it on their screenshot. I didn't see it in the actual game when using stock engines.
  4. Looks like KSP 1.5 navball displays "start burn in..." for maneuver nodes for stock engines. Any chance for this to work with Interstellar engines as well? (or maybe that will happen automatically when it's compiled against 1.5?)
  5. On an unrelated note, I started using the "all-in-one ISRU" module with atmospheric extraction. It works fine when the vessel it the current one, in both real time and in warp mode, but I can't seem to make it to work offline - when returning to the vessel, I do see the message saying it was working for X seconds, but I doesn't actually provide me the resources. (specifically, I'm trying to harvest CO2, and have both CO2 and liquid CO2 tanks with enough free space, and I have overflow enabled) Am I doing something wrong?
  6. Oh, please notice that for some reason, (as of 6 hours ago) the latest version is not available from CKAN (even though interstellar fuel did get updated)
  7. I was wondering about the scaled-down versions of the nuclear reactors - are they meant to be so cheap? A tiny (0.95m) molten salt reactor (and thermal-generator) is still pretty useful for small bases and costs peanuts, whereas the K&K reactor costs 400K.
  8. I've come upon a crash (in other occurrence, the ship vanishes), that happens when getting near a craft with multiple ISRUs working (possibly when one of the tanks is out of space). It repeated several times, until I turned off all ISRUs, then everything was fine. Is this worth a deeper investigation?
  9. Also, after updating to 1.20.0, my (already installed) magentized target fusion reactor has lost its MK1 fusion modes (Deuterium-Tritium and Cold Deuterium-Tritium), and left only with MK3 modes (immediately after switching ships the mode got switched to Proton-Boron11 which couldn't work). When constructing a new ship, the mode starts as Deuterium-Helium3, and when switching to "next" mode it becomes "He3 Catalyzed D-D Fusion" and is unable to switch anymore to anything else. Is this by design? Also - is this reactor affected by - (My Kerbals on Gilly would really like their reactor working again)
  10. Oddly enough, after updating to 1.20.0 VISTA appears in both "Advanced Fusion Rockets" and "Specialized Fusion Rockets". Or is this because I haven't done a full clean+reinstall?
  11. I see no reason it shouldn't work, so I consider this a little bit of hacking, not cheating
  12. Yup. Bummer. Is there a way to fix this? I'm not 100% sure, but it looks like the K&K inline drill does count for this kind of contracts.
  13. I'm trying to use the "large universal mining auger" to mine Gilly. The ore and regolith come out just fine, but for some reason the ore doesn't count for "Acquire X units of fresh ore from Gilly". Any idea why is that, or how can it be fixed?
  14. Has something changed since the FAQ about upgrading parts? On my Minmus base I have a magnetized target fusion reactor and a thermal electric generator. I took one of the upgrade nodes to both of them, but I don't see any "upgrade" button. Am I missing something?
  15. While trying to fiddle with the save files to try to work around the problem described here (ship vanishing when using closed gascore engine), I noticed something weird - Every time the game is saved there's an additional "part = InterstellarSphereTank" line in GAME->PARAMETERS->SCENARIO[name=ResearchAndDevelopment]->Tech[id=specializedFuelStorage] When I just noticed it there were already over 500 identical lines like that. Could that be the cause for any problem?
  16. (using KSPI-E 1.19.4 with KSP 1.4.5) I'm trying to use a 3.75m version of the closed cycle gas core engine with liquid fuel as propellant. The engine is "working" (the fire trail is there and the temperature is rising), but it doesn't generate any thrust and doesn't seem to consume any fuel. Am I doing anything wrong, or is it related to the "phantom thrust" problem mentioned earlier? P.S. The Reactor window does display Status: "offline", but I can't really understand why.
  17. Hmm, interesting. I moved one module from the ship to the asteroid (while it was already turned on) and it let me scan the asteroid on the module from the opposite side. Thanks!
  18. I'm having a hard time to get the asteroid sounding experiment to work. (using KSP 1.4.4 and DMagic Orbital Science 1.3.12). When attaching both modules to the asteroid I get the beam to show between them, and the status says "receiver in range", but shortly after, the "Scan asteroid interior" action disappear. Am I doing it wrong? Could it be that I need a certain level of scientist to conduct the test, or something similar? (I only sent an engineer with a remote guiding unit).
  19. Hmph, The universal drill doesn't work on asteroids ("not properly landed"), and the stock drill only extracts ore. Is there nothing else to mine on asteroids? (even the shiny ones with the purple veins?)
  20. I've been playing KSP for a month now. I installed version 1.19.2 on KSP 1.4.4 using CKAN (as with all the mods) I can see several ISRU parts from KSPI-E (ISRU converter, processor, electrolyzer and refrigerator) , but I can't seem to find the ISRU Refinery part anywhere. What am I missing?
