Sure, I just did. https://github.com/taniwha/Extraplanetary-Launchpads/issues/181
-
I noticed that when constructing an external command seat as a 'part', an engineer can't pick it up in construction mode (I'm not using KIS/KAS), but when I move it out of a container - it does work. When inspecting the save file I noticed that the 'type' of the VESSEL containing the part is "Rover". When editing it to "DroppedPart", it was 'pickable' again. Is there a proper way to build the command seat so it can be picked?
-
Another question, if you will - I'm using K&K planetary bases but not KIS/KAS. Apparently, the Planetary Hub part serves as an EL Launchpad, but after building is complete, I get a "No sites found. Explosions likely" message on the launchpad's dialog. (If I do click "finalize build", the part/craft appears somewhere in the vicinity of the base). Is it possible to add a "site" without a new launchpad? I read the manual but couldn't find explanation for this.

Hi, I just started using the mod, and so far it seems very useful. However, something really krakeny happened when I tried to build a survey stake on launchpad (is there a reason not to, except for what happened next?) When clicking "finalize", the game switched to the loading screen, expanded a few GB RAM, and when it came back, it was frozen, showing only the back ground "space", and every toolbar item was doubled. (I could nothing other than killing the process). The log just showed a long list of NullReferenceExceptions.

Thanks, I know about KIS/KAS but I really prefer to avoid them on the current run. -
[1.8.x] DMagic Orbital Science: New Science Parts [v1.4.3] [11/2/2019]
Omeran replied to DMagic's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I noticed DMagic orbital science parts can't be moved in construction mode (i.e. by Kerbal engineer) and can't be put in stock storage containers. Is this a bug, or something that needs to be implemented? -
[1.12.x] Konstruction! Weldable ports, servos, cranes, and magnets!

Hi, sorry if I'm touching a delicate subject, but is Konstruction still being developed? I was really hoping I could use the KonFabricator.- 1,473 replies

[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)

You're right! I switched off the reactor, let it cool, and now it is harvesting. Thanks! -
[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)
Omeran replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I do have SystemHeat, enough cooling and enough electricity (the Bussard seems to work fine while landed). You can see it here - I'm turning it on, there are changes in the system heat panel, and it immediately turns off. My mod list isn't very big. Basically - most NF mods, far future tech, DMagic orbital science, and Konstruction, but here is a full list anyway: -
[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)
Omeran replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I still can't find a way to make the exospheric harvesters (Bussard and Sift-o-Tron) to work. I tried the Bussard particle scoop - It works on the ground (Kerbin), but as soon as I start the flight it shuts down immediately after I turn it on (just like the Sift-o-Tron). Same behavior in atmosphere and outside it (I checked the log, it doesn't show anything when I (try to) turn the harvester on). When using the atmospheric ramscoop things did work and I was able to harvest oxidizer (In Kerbin) up to a very decent altitude. So, what am I doing wrong? is there any guide or reference for using these parts? -

[1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)
Omeran replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi, I updated to space dust 0.4 (with all dependencies). Build a ship with the "Bussard" exospheric scoop. Upon lunch I'm getting a consistent crash: [EXC 09:59:17.677] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object SpaceDust.ModuleSpaceDustHarvester.AddFlux (System.Single outletTemperature, System.Single systemPower) (at <9fdbabd8c3b74ef7bfa18508d07db5f6>:0) SpaceDust.ModuleSpaceDustHarvester.FixedUpdate () (at <9fdbabd8c3b74ef7bfa18508d07db5f6>:0) Previously in the log I'm getting: [ERR 09:59:17.571] Cannot find config in file : WATERFALL_SETTINGS Full log available here Edit: Actually, even with just opening the tracking center KSP is crashing. [1.12.x] Space Dust - Atmospheric and Exospheric Harvesting (9/10/2024)
Omeran replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hi @Nertea, I'm having a problem with atmospheric harvester (the "Sift-o-tron 250") and it kinda sucks, or rather - doesn't. When on Kerbin - it works with no problem - connected a battery, harvester, radiators and an empty tank and it starts harvesting right away (surprisingly, even if the tank is full, but never mind that). When around Jool (below/above 200KM, doesn't make a difference), it just shuts off a second after I turn it on. (Space Dust tool-menu shows there's LH in both atmosphere and exosphere). The system-heat-loop has plenty of heat-rejection (17MW), and I have plenty of room, plenty of power, but still nothing. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? -
[1.12.x] Konstruction! Weldable ports, servos, cranes, and magnets!
Omeran replied to RoverDude's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I was just having a look at the GitHub source (trying to get a hint how's that KonFabricator part coming along) but something else caught my eye - FOR_RELEASE/GameData/UmbraSpaceIndustries/Akita/Akita_CTT.cfg line 13 contains "Akira_Seat", while the cfg file is called "Akita_Seat.cfg". Could that cause a problem with the tech tree?- 1,473 replies

KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread

The refrigerator doesn't exactly "automatically" converts anything. If you have both liquid H2 and (gaseous) H2 tanks, then the refrigerator would have a slider that determines the direction of the conversion. -

What's the mass of your craft and which Alcubierre parts are you using (and their sizes)? -
KSP Interstellar Extended Support Thread
Omeran replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
If you have the Alcubierre drive and the Muon catalyzed fusion reactor or the plasma antimatter reactor (better) it's pretty easy. The trick is to overload the Alcubierre drive so anti-gravity kicks in, and once you're high enough - point to your target and engage warp. Make sure you have enough radiators because these reactors lose efficiency as they get hotter. Landing can be trickier, because you need to either de-circularize using another engine (or engines), or carefully plan your warp exit point so you get low horizontal velocity. If you're playing career mode, you'll probably want to get the ship back to KSC, so better add some strong RCS to zero down your horizontal velocity. I have several designs that work pretty well. I haven't tested them on systems outside Kerbol (because Kopernicus doesn't work on KSP 1.9), but I've been using them to land pretty much everywhere in Kerbol. -

Is there a documentation somewhere for how the Alcubierre drive works in the game? I got this problem - I'm using a Muon Catalised fusion reactor that can sustain 1.6GW, but starts at about 2.1GW. The information the drive gives me is: Total warp power: 400t Warp to mass ratio: 10.3794 Max allowed throtle: 0.0025c (there's a typo there, should be "throttle") Current selected speed: 0.0130c Abs min power warp: 185.6453MW Current power for warp: 1628.2166MW Power at max speed: 3712.9050MW Is there explanation to what all these numbers mean? When I increase the selected speed, say, to 0.02c the only thing that changes is that the "Current power for warp" decreases to 1312.7012MW. I noticed that if raise the speed up to 1c, the "current power for warp" equals to the "abs min power warp". Anyway, even when the "current power for warp" is well below my reactor's capacity, I get a message "critical power supply at [X], deactivating warp drive". -

I finally started using the Alcubierre drive for "useful" things. I went to Dres, picked up a homesick Kerbal, when I charged the drive, targeted Kerbin and hit Engage, em, I mean "Activate Warp Drive" it started moving to Dres instead. I un-targeted Kerbin and targeted it again, and this time it went in the right direction. Any idea what's going on? -

I noticed something weird about the interstellar science lab - If I only have once scientist on board, I can't get any new data from experiments into the lab, but I if I do have data, I can do research. Is this intentional?
