sorry I should have made myself clearer, I didn't mean the Lander lab module, but the "Renovated Lab Module" the new update came with, I have no idea on how to actually post pictures on here, but I think you know what it is
If it's not on the wiki or on my To Do list then it probably means I have no idea either!

It seems @Friznit has already updated the wiki! Thank you!
Atlas and X15 added. I need to go through a lot of the other stuff and check they still make sense with the new part switch approach for tankage

I mostly use search for specific sized fairing - SAF 1.25 for example. Otherwise by rocket name if the Category tab isn't quite 100% right.

So, I've been checking wiki for build guides and wanted to ask, @Friznit is there any plans on updating sdlv section, or perhaps making separate page for SLS and oranges stuff?
Those mods are amazing and totally deserve proper docs.
It's on my to do list but BDB stuff is a priority and there are kinda lots of updates to catch up on rn. Nice problem to have, mind.
ISS page also need redoing, and the Tantares stuff...and...and...

@Friznit Unsure where to post my question but this thread seems like a decent place. I was looking through the manual you'd made (awesome work by the way, I use it a lot and love all of your other wikis/manuals), specifically under the area for satellites. I really love the Scansat and Near Future Exploration inspired satellites you showcase there and was wondering if you'd ever posted the craft files for those satellites anywhere or knew where I could find them.
Sadly I don't think I've kept them. I was trying to recreate them myself in my latest game too. I'll have a root around in some archives when I'm next at my PC though.
@Blufor878 we typically check & redo all the craft files just before release, though I'm personally in favour of only doing a few of the "main" builds now that many variants are just the same parts with different B9 switches.

AH, so S-V is a centaur but not a centaur haha. Makes sense. I wonder how much of a performance hit they would have taken with a monocoque.
If Delta IV is Delta then SLS is Delta V

Argh, all the old Discord hosted images are broken, and there isn't an explicit guide on the BDB wiki of how to build any of the Mariners, only a low res image!
They're pretty straightforward. Those images should be sufficient?

B-1 weights a lot (A LOT) more than B-58, though. It's also not as aerodynamically "clean" as B-58, despite using internal bomb bays (swing wings etc - swing wings arent's as cool as you think, actually)
F111 cordially invites you round for a quiet chat.

@FriznitAny chance you could give the BDB wiki an update? It's a little outdated now... also I guess that goes for the ISS and SDLV guides too.
@CobaltWolfWhere can I find the to-do list?
1 hour ago, MashAndBangers said:Pretty sure Friz only updates the main manual when there's an actual release. Otherwise look at the issues section under Friz's github for the BDB manual to see in progress stuff https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-BDB-Wiki/issues
Same for BDB https://github.com/CobaltWolf/Bluedog-Design-Bureau/issues
This^
Though if there's anything specific to BDB that's in the release branch do let me know. The non-BDB stuff for SDLV & ISS I may update one day if I do another playthrough with the more recent mods.

What exactly is the J-1a Atlas variant thing? I can't find any info about it anywhere, other than a LEGO mockup someone made once
Japanese proposal to use Atlas tanks with an NK33, though it went through quite a few evolutions on paper. Consider it a sort of generic 1.875m mount.

It's incredible how none of those parts are in the mod anymore
Original page of poor quality

Neat. This is a very nice complement to many missions that you have to do in a career game so will be a great addition.

also will there be/ already is something like a BDB wiki-style documentation with ideas for assembly?
Thank you in advance.
Could be arranged...unofficially

@Friznit What mod do you use to get your rocket screenshots for your Wiki? Is it Kronal VV or something else? If it's KVV, how did you get it working in 1.12?
It's KVV and I didn't do anything, it works just fine!

...It's in the mod lol. I have no idea if it's from an alt-history thing or just Cobaltwolf's own imagination, but it's just a Saturn V skirt that drops off, leaving only the central F1. I think it's supposed to have an S-IVB instead of an S-II or something.
https://github.com/friznit/Unofficial-BDB-Wiki/wiki/Saturn-II
If you can think of it, you can bet NASA thought of it. They had some truly bonkers paper concepts.

from what I can understand from the page, everything is there, but how to build it is not, for a example, I don't know how to fully build the Cassini probe, or the voyager 2 probe, in a basic sense like that, of course there are some guides for some of the probes, but unless you know how to build every probe the mod offers or know about how the probes were made it's not easy to understand it
Those are from Probes Plus mod, not BDB. You're better off grabbing the craft files from Probes+, though most of them are fairly straightforward to figure out if you filter the parts list.

I got a small question, will you and your team be able to make a comprehensive wiki on your crafts? I understand there's a unofficial wiki, but it sadly doesn't cover all of the craft build guides
What's missing?
-
Feedback / corrections on the wiki always welcome of course, though where information is scarce or merely speculative, I've just picked something that works/looks reasonable and can be built using existing BDB parts.
-
Yeah think it's just called pioneer propulsion system. Check out the craft file if you want to be doubly sure

Thanks everyone..wanted to focus more on flying than building but fair enough...be well,
There's a complete set of craft files included with the mod download - if for some reason you can't find the folder you can get them off github here. They match the build guides on the Unofficial Wiki and up to date as of the latest release.

Getting error with b9partswitch at GeminiEquipment module : H2O2 and none, the hell that means??
Are you running Skyhawk Science System and/or Kerbalism or something like that? They add resources and sometime don't add the correct definitions. It's not technically a BDB issue.
-
Yeah I get the nuclear engine ones. I've not looked into the error and have just ignored them for now though.

To be clear, BDB parts are balanced the same as Stock parts. However, Stock parts themselves are technically overpowered for a vanilla scale Kerbin, so if you want a more realistic performance for the historical BDB rocket builds you need to run an upscaled planet pack. That said, nothing is forcing you to build only historical rockets with BDB parts!
