30 part limit in sandbox?
Mikenike replied to MrWookie2U's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Since when???? In sandbox mode you have fully upgraded stuff and unlimited funds, part counts, etc. I assume it is a bug, so I would log it in the bugtracker. In sandbox we have maxed out buildings at the start......- 17 replies

I like how they have a meter for how stupid a Kerbal can be..... It shows their confidence. I mean look at Forrest Gump, man was dumber than a brick but he was confident, it was a dumb confidence, but confidence nonetheless. The Kerbals should know that they aren't getting selected for the job, but they try because they, in their dumb brain, think that they can make it based upon pure effort alone. DISCLAIMER: I am talking about the ones with stupidity levels at or near max. Original Soviet Space crews........... I read this and immediately thought about the crews that died because of their rush to beat the US. They all had families that were awaiting their safe return....

Two things we've been asking for for a while now, I'm glad it finally happened for us. Now I can take good pics of my craft.... And also use the ducted fans. One thing I haven't checked to see if it was fixed was the KAL-1000 and Prop issues I was encountering. I was unable toget the prop above 60m/s with an insane amount of drag and weight to the front. My craft would flip over when I launched it, and the RPMs got up to about 10 and stayed there. I cliped in a panther with after burner on and struggle to stay above stall. Another thing that we wanted ever since you could leave fairings open. FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No more need for the Mun Launch site. @UomoCapra will you guys take the launch site out now that we can teleport our crafts, or will that be something you will give to PC as well??

I agree, and the big 4 Kerbals are to this game like the big 3 were to the Greeks and Romans, a staple of culture, or the games culture. I would hate to see them go and would probably move to simple rockets or another sim.... But I see how they could be over hyped, and we just need more kerbals overall, or more of a backstory overall. About 75 percent would leave. Most would go elsewhere, some would have to resort to SR2 or the likes of other games. It would be like removing guns from COD, or long, drawn out battles in Battlefield. Or removing Kombat from Mortal Kombat. It would destroy the game and it's name. I would make a separate game type for that, like Minecraft Java and Bedrock. I would do it to where there would be continued support for both as well, similar to the Minecraft way of doing it.

Well, kinda is an easy fix, got the STS tail?? Well, I've never successfully launch a shuttle.... And I've also never liked the SSTO thing and the shuttle idea. Not really my forte... Im more of a guy who likes to launch massive rockets for the smallest payloads....... cause funds don't matter anymore

2/2, unorginal........ NASA RULES -
What kind of launch vehicles do you like to use?
Mikenike replied to skrpt kddz's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I hardly use SSTO's anymore, I use the typical rocket in either asparagus staging or with solids on the side.... I like to lift heavy payloads up to HKO, and then get a space tug to rendevous and dock to the payload (typically a station or a massive crew module/ lander so that I can bring my guys home and sub in a new crew). I hate the SSTO idea. I love the massive designs because money is no object. I launch a crew replenishment module every in game year, and it takes 3 months for them to go there, and come back. I refuse to make a lander with a lot of fuel for returns, and instead use a tug to take it from a 300x300 orbit to its destination over a target planet in a 150x150 orbit, where I detach the lander, deorbit the craft, and then land, replace the crew with the old one, and send it back up to that 150x150 where it rendevous with the tug to take it back to a 100x100 orbit, and I deorbit from there. I use a similar concept for my tug refueling system. I like to bring them to a 100x100 orbit (the same orbit I use before I deorbit my crew modules), refuel them, and then put them back up in orbit, or rather, their starting orbit of 300x300. I then use the remaining fuel to deorbit the fuel "truck". What I will also do is I will send a refueling truck to a midpoint in a long journey, using a special lifter/ dual tug combo, where I still have enough fuel to refuel 3 tugs, so I dock 2 togs together and use one to transport the other and the remaining unneeded lifter back to LKO, where I deorbit all of them. I have two/three tugs a planet, two orbiting the sun, and 4 around Kerbin at any time. -
To say that all of discord is toxic in general is just wrong, although I see what you mean. I am in like 10-15 servers right now, and most people are friendly, but there are afew bad apples undeniably. I agree with the second statement, we have a great community here and I see no reason why I should look off in the distance for something nowhere near as good as the forums are.

I think I'd be the richest. I design everything from the ground up, not from the top down. So I constantly am rearranging the stages. I mostly stay in LKO or below, but have gone to everywhere but Moho so far.

Alrighty fellas...... Time to say what I have to say. I forgot what I did between December 8 and 22. Although I did have tennis practice and a CAP meeting. I went up to Branson and St. Louis for vacation, then visited family in New Orleans for new years. It was na overall fun trip, but cold and long for sure. We drove the whole way. Well, on to last two weeks. I went through class, bringing up grades and going to tennis practice. I attended my second of three CAP meetings on January 4th. Before you officially join CAP, you must attend three meetings to ensure it is the right fit for you and so that they can teach you some things so you aren't a complete idiot when it comes to that type of stuff. It was a briefing on equal opportunity and fair treatment. I had my friday off so I spent it playing BOCW. On Tuesday of this week, after my final unofficial participation in a CAP meeting, I went to class, worked on bringing up my grades further mostly. In civics we covered state and local governments. In ELA we started on a short story called "The Stolen Party". It was a boring story about a 9 year old who learns a hard lesson. In PE we did much the same, I just played among us and looked online at a Brickmania kit I want. After I went to band where we started our annual candy bar fundraiser. In Physical science, we had an assignment/lab to blow the biggest bubble and improve the solution used to make a larger buble. Our teacher was out due to exposure concern. Thank god he comes back today, the class was boring without him. In IBCA we were finishing up some powerpoints, which will be finished today. And in Geometry we are doing congruence with triangle proofs and such. Thursday (today). So far, I have gone through Civics, where we did some recapping for our test on local and state government tommorow. In ELA we worked in groups on the short story. We had to go to our MAC (Media Academic Center/Library) because the classroom was upwards of 90 degrees and humid for some reason. So I worked on the group project with a few friends, but we mostly got work done, suprisingly. The teacher kept using her app to watch me on how our group was progressing, which I hated, cause we split up, when she came over and fussed at us for spliting up, and she never said we couldn't. Anyways, we got everything done but the theme of the story, which we will work on some tommorow. I decided that in PE I'd read for a bit. I decided for our ELA assignment on a book we have to read independantly that I'd read 20000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne. I have throughly enjoyed the book, and they have just gotten to the Atlantic and crossed about 10k leagues so far. That took a whole lot longer than I thought it would....

No, if you have a top heavy craft, in the lower atmosphere and mid atmosphere, you have a chance to over rotate and not recover it because you COM is too high and aerodynamics will catch the front section and act as a pendulum. Your engines at that point are no longer facing the ground, they are now above a 90 degree angle, which only will help with the perdulum motion. Nothing at that point will save your craft, as undoubtably, your engines were running as you reached above horizontal in any direction. I say nothing becuase everything short of parachutes will save your craft, unless you quickload, or reset. And the amount of parachutes one would need for a large craft is expensive as it adds nearly useless weight, because you will almost never use them. So, you can be the exact opposite of correct here as well, as it is a case by case basis. I meant that his COM was near the top most section of his craft.

The "build your way home" challenge
Mikenike replied to dnbattley's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
Unfortunately, @joshudson is right..... With the amount of Dv that an EVA pack has, it is possible to return using only the jetpack, but he forgets that he must return both Kerbals on the same ascent to orbit..... He has been required in the orginal post that it must be in a command pod..... While he may try it, I believe that he idea here would not be an accepted score. As for the challenge itself... I cannot do it, as EE is at 1.10 right now. -
Well, sorry for not updating you all. I've been busy bringing up grades, starting CAP, track, and band practices. So, I will cover all of the last week and a half in 3rd period when I have nothing better to get done. Well, its actually more than a week and a half, now that I see the last entry date as 8 December 2020....... But I will skip/ go through those fast, as I don't remember much schoolwise from December...... This is kinda my log to keep track of what I've done.....Ah, well, back to class focus for a little bit.... See y'all in 3rd period.

Deployable science disappearing
Mikenike replied to ConArt70's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (Console)
Who knows how log, especially because it is on EE and not on PC. SQAUD only does the orginal game. So it may be a few days. Also, don't bump your request like you have been, its not fair to other questions and its not fair to your post counts, because you should not boost your account like this. Its illegitamate and I think (May be wrong here) but its against the forum rules. Anyways, back to your question. I haven't encountered this..... But I have deployed Science close to my bases... so that may be a factor here. -
@adsii1970, I am sorry about that as well.... I just copied the quote without looking at the whole thing. But as @RealKerbal3x said, Im glad that OP decided to stay (I think)

Snark hits the head of the nail here. Just because someone with the unofficial discords said/did something rude is no reason to make a assumption that we are toxic. GTAO is toxic, but here, really? As Snark said, there is no real KSP discord, so you encounter fakes (Like that one) and stuff like that happens, or accounts get stolen. <snip> Its not fair to all of us that a good person leaves based upon the actions of a few fakes......

I came to see a new chapter, but this works too. Guess I'll be handling KP now.

FiveM and DOJ/LSPDFR are good rp servers, but I'm on console, and I don't believe you can access them on console.

I didn't mean the gameplay, I meant things like over-hyping (like BOCW), and certain things that I dislike, such as GTA's unrealistic snipers, and their addition of things like the MkII and other absolutely crazy creations. GTA was and is a great franchise, but the Online expirence is ruined by griefers, glitchers, hackers, and Rockstars own greed. They have had bugs in the moneymaking businesses that have been in since 2014 that they refuse to fix. They are greedy for the money that shark cards make them. I still enjoy the GTA series, but lately they have gone in a direction I don't nessisarily argee with. Saints Row was a fun game.... It had the chaos of a game like Just Cause, and the storyline of GTA, with the open world scheme like games like GTA2 and older open world.

No, he hasn't arrived on this train. @Lewie when you getting in??

I just re-read this, and I don't like what you are saying here. It's worrying me.... Also, what was with Piper being nicer to Thompberry towards the end of the orginal saga. I know that Piper is not one to turn on her friends, but maybe.... And, since he's older, maybe some time has past, and that makes me think that Emiko and older cast members must've poofed or gone to a retirement home. Which changes the storyline a lot.... But is a good thing some times, maybe Gem and her brother are more promienent in the new story.... I have so many theories and questions, I don't wanna stop rambling about them.....

We are not going to make you do a 1.5 if it doesn't make you happy. If you hate the storyline, and whatever your problem is with it, its fine. We can survive without a 1.5 version. Will it be a bad thing, to wait 2 years with no good read? Maybe, but I'm reading Jules Verne's 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, or rather about to start it. Will you have troule with the storyline sometimes, yeah, definitely. Take your time, and if you want to, call it off.
