    • If Earth history is anything to go by, a Cold war is what you get when the protagonists are too well armed to engage in an actual shooting war without destroying themselves.
    • Privatisation (of what?) doesn't seem like a reason in itself for war.
    • A lack of resources seems like a more plausible reason for war than an abundance of them.
    • How did the Great Kerbal War last for 4 years (or even get started) with a fuel shortage in progress?

Oh, well, maybe they got to a point where it just got too stressful and then a war occured.

Well anyways, what's happening is the resources on Kerbin are not good enough and some of them just want more.

The resources are outside of Kerbin

Kethan from the moon and other planets allowed them to mine and turn them into fuel. This is also a reason why they had a war in space. Factions were just taking them and fighting for it. Also a lot of resources are outside of Kerbin so there's a big incentive to get out.

I'm seconding KSK on this one. You've got the book club blurb, but not much else.

It feels like you are going to run some simulations in the background and post the results, ala the classic bar fight show "Deadliest Warrior" [link redacted due to section 2.2 potentials. -ed.] Unless your going for something like Star Fleet Battles, but given the fact the New York whitepages is smaller than the rule book that is a fair bit of work.

Any more backgrounder information, or simulation rules?

Those will be added soon in info and maybe it's own section. I haven't gotten all the info done it so I just want advice before moving forward.

Thanks! Anything else you guys have?

  2. At a loss. I've put it in but it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. I've tried all combinations of it. With both or none. Or sometimes it goes insane and everything in the craft slowly turns invisible. I'll try to post a video.

Tomorrow I'm going to test more: [After restart.]

    1. Near clip off in overlay, build, and flight. with commu 16.

    2. Near clip on in menu with top screenshots

    3. Near clip on forced with enable both inside and outside the folder it was it. Above pics.

  3. Also, guys, Make sure you fill out the faction form on these forums. So you may have to edit a bit and make sure you follow most of the Craft rules. You don't need many pics but just follow the minimum. I'm also focusing on the info side so stay tuned for updates.

The best price/performance would be a RX570 with 8GB VRAM. They are not that power efficient, but extremly cheap and able to play everything in Full-HD, although not with maximum settings for recent games. I think a better/more expensive GPU wouldnt make much sense in this PC, since it would be hindered by the old quadcore CPU.

That too. I would think a gtx 1660 or a rx 570-580 would be best for him. As long as the PSU is able to handle it.

Hi guys, not a total noob, but fairly close to one. I inherited a gaming PC that was probably pretty good a few years ago.

    Intel Core i5-4670

    16gig Ram

MSI Radeon R9 270X 2GB Twin Frozr Gaming OC

It worked quite well for all of my gaming needs. I know it's not the best in the world, but it did the trick and ran things well enough.

And that was great for the past few years. But now the graphics card is excrements. I got those green lines on my screen and I had to rip it out. I don't want to build a new pc (not true, the fact is I can't afford to)

All I really want is to find a graphics card that isn't too powerful for my older processer and won't break my wallet in the process. I'm willing to spend a few hundred bucks at the most.

I checked around review sites and they are all hyping the newest and the best. I don't have a 4k monitor and honestly couldn't tell you what ray tracing is. So all the superlatives they toss around doesn't help me much at all.

Does anyone know of a solid graphics card that will work with my pc?

The best ones would be GTX 1070, used. GTX 1060 6-3gb Great and cheap, GTX 1660 ti-non-ti Great cost 220-270 ish. RTX 2060, okay but costly. I hope I could help you. Please do give me all of your specs. I would choose the non-ti of GTX 1660 for me.

Can you give me a list of your computer so I would know what would suit you.

    ANNOUNCE

It came to my attention that the newest release of Near Future Solar (1.1.0) changed so many thing that the current default patches embedded on TweakScale are not useful.

So I decided to kick-off the TweakScale Companion Program, being NFS 1.1 the first target. :)

Users of Near Future Solar 1.1 are invited to TEST DRIVE the current PRE-RELEASE version of TweakScale Companion for NFS , downloading the latest release on the following link:

    https://github.com/net-lisias-ksp/TweakScaleCompanion_NFS/releases

Please test it on a DISPOSABLE INSTALLMENT as this thing is BETA and things are expected to be buggy or wrong - something, however, must work fine. :D

Please read the Known Issues file before filing a bug report - some new NFS parts use Module Part Variant, and this thing is not yet fully supported by TweakScale. Preliminary testes, however, suggest things are working right. :)

Users of NFS older than the 1.1 SHOULD NOT use this Companion yet. The current NFS patches are good for NFS 1.0.5.

Diligence in insuring a seamless and clean transition is work in progress - no savegame will be left behind.

Thank you! Always need bigger solar panels lol.
