While Keordi made sense because of the ore equipment as well as if something were to happen to the lander he could repair it, this was an excellent opportunity to gather science while they mined and get some extra science that KSC surely wasn't expecting. The issue is that there was only room for two in the lander. Does he choose A = Take the engineer Keordi with him. Better safe than sorry. B = Take the scientist Keverly with him. Fame and Science! C = Take the pilot Besley with him. The others are needed on the Excellence.

I assume you are using breaking ground robotics? If so, immediately after docking shut off all SAS. Especially if COM is not, well centered. Also, lower the motor power and increase the dampening settings beforehand. And when I say increase I mean a LOT if the docking masses are large. Then after successful dock, lock the motors before moving to another vessel. When all is settled, reactivate SAS. So far this has worked for me.

I agree. I sit in the pro procedural wings and tanks camp to keep part numbers low. Fuel tanks would have been nice but give and take you know? So I will gladly take the wings.

The gravity of that statement just hit me. You are right. No matter the game, there will always be a group that just wants to spar and fight. It's nature. Now I am anxious to see what may happen since the physics of battle will include orbits and preplanning to land a missile correctly. Not to mention that as seen with BDArmory it is a near guarantee there will be some kind mod introducing practical weaponry systems (hopefully realistic and not fantasy sci fi in my opinion)
