I think the lack of response boils down to two things. It's the holidays. You have an issue that nobody has any ideas on. The only other suggestion I have is to see if this replicates when running on another machine. Beyond that, you'd have to gebe a code monkey to dive into the software to find out why this happens.

Ok, can someone please identify what video you are talking about? I checked the Dev Diaries and Show/Tell forums and found nothing.

You're welcome.

If it wasn't confined to KSP only, I'd say it was a cable issue. But it is possible that KSP itself, for whatever reason, has an issue with your particular external connections. I'd ask for the log file, but I'm not sure if that will help. My only other advice, before asking for much smarter people than I to jump in, would be to make sure your drivers are updated and meet the minimum specs to run KSP. After that...

@CauseOfBSOD You necro'ed a 5.5 year old thread. Please don't do that.

This is the best answer you can get, @n 123321123. KSP can get really finicky if you try to manually install mods, so the use of CKAN to get them right is the right way to go.

First question: Did you try disconnecting the external monitor to see if this ever happens on the laptop display? Second question: Did you validate that all cables and connections are appropriate, right and tight? Third question: Does this happen with any other software, or is it confined only to KSP?

Well, this is just turning into a C&H strip-a-ganza. So... New Rule: At a minimum, every third post must be something other than C&H. Like this one.

Oh noez! @AlamoVampire stepped into the Invisible Sector when he touched the Opposite Pole! He has to cover his eyes as everything is invisible to him until someone hits him with the Calvinball!
-
@Nazalassa's rule is stricken as it prevents anyone from posting. Also, any snowman pics from C&H are acceptable.

Make a wish... and have it horribly corrupted!

Granted. As I stated in the Superpowers thread, you end up giving cancer to everyone on the planet and end the human race. I wish to be immune to the effects of Pu-239. -
And the federal government will arrest you for using federal resources to play games without their express written and prior consent. I will hack into Intercept's computers to get a really early copy of KSP2!

Ok, I can't remember all the rules to this point, so... New Rule: All existing rules are stricken from the record. New Rule: Every post after this one - meaning, this post is excluded from this rule - must have at least 1 word colored in something other than black. What? It's Calvinball. I can make 2 rules at once.

And that means you should have enough disk space...but you don't. I think I'd like to play "Global Thermo-Nuclear War"

Hamster food. That, technically, is a favorite food. It is the favorite food of pet hamsters everywhere. The rule on favorite foods did not specify that it had to be MY favorite food, nor did it indicate that the food even ahd to be for human beings in any fashion. So I have therefore satisfied the requirement to post an image of "favorite food". Depending upon how long I end up rambling on here, i believe I will also satisfy the rule regarding minimum posy length. But this is boring, and I would propose a rule modification please. RULE MODIFICATION: In addition to tagging someone with a Calvin-esque avatar, one may subvert the 100 word rule by posting any image from the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip that has food in it.
