I have to laugh because I'm frequently reminded on these forums that @shdwlrd and I are almost polar opposites. Frankly, I think this type of start would be perfect for new players because they would learn about each part and each celestial body and not be intimidated by the myriad parts that will be at our disposal. And, as a veteran player, it's appealing to me as well because I'm always enticed by a "fresh start" or "clean slate" and really building up and developing my space program's capabilities.

I'm also not sure you can say you're "stripping out everything the Kerbals have done in KSP1". If you could continue your KSP1 save in KSP2 then maybe this would have some merit. But I fully expect adventure mode to start with only a handful of parts and little/no information on any celestial bodies - even Kerbolar ones. So, sticking with the polar opposites theme here, I think that does sound like a fun game to me.

It would be interesting for a realistic space program. Telescopes would actually have a use and atmospheric data could help you design more aerodynamic rockets.

That ought to cut it. The laptop version of that CPU is a bit underclocked, but it's still very close to performance of the desktop i7 from the same generation, which is has comparable performance to the PS5 CPU.

So some architectural hiccups aside, if this laptop has significant problems running KSP2, so will the PS5, and we know Intercept will have to get performance at least good enough for the new consoles to run it. So yeah, that will do for sure.

    Helps a bunch!

  3. Is it even possible? The challenge is to create a rocket (or many rockets) that can get to Jool orbit, only using sepratrons! This is my first time doing a challenge, so things might be a bit weird.

    RULES:

    1. Don't use exploits.

    2. No RCS

    3. Gravity assists are allowed, as long as you get to Jool.

    (suggest more please)

Jool Orbit Manned: Bring a kerbal to Jool orbit (200 points)

Jool Probe Descent: Send a probe down into Jool's atmosphere once you reach Jool orbit (parachutes allowed) (175 points)

Jool Probe Return: Send a probe to Jool orbit and back to Kerbin safely
