  1. Rosco the old tool used to do that too. Use placement angle or w/e it is, and place it to the side so it's off centre but if in the middle how you want, then use horizonal snap to get it into the middle. - - - Updated - - - Is it possible to make a button that will snap a part directly over the COM?

Currently using this mod http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104280-0-90-Outer-Planets-Mod-%281-4%29-Unique-biomes-and-300-science-blurbs-17-Jan-15 I think the starting year though means the planets are in completely the wrong positions in relation to jool and the version of saturn. About to send a probe to it, but i really wish it was passing jool on the way

  5. Does Slate look that good from the ground too? In map view it appears perfectly spherical, unlike the other moons where you can see hills etc even from map view. I'm already sending mapping missions for an eventual probe landing. EDIT - nm i seen the ground level screenshot. Does scansat work with these?
  6. The only thing I can think of is for a concept video. But something tells me there would be a lot of laughing when they showed it, not sure if it would be at them or not though.
  7. Just happened to me, was testing my space plane around the KSC, did a half loop upwards and rolled so i was traveling in the other direction. Press CTRL to lower throttle and they appeared.
  8. Right clicking takes only a second to do, would tell you the same information, and as a change would only effect certain times during construction by making things take marginally longer. Where as the visual numbers are always there to make things look ugly. It's your mod though dude do w/e you want.
  9. Yeah sorry you're right it is a matter of opinion on how it looks, but it would objectively be better to have it in the right click menu.

  13. The model for the expando tubes are the wrong way round. The side with the alien vent style image on never gets seen except for in the vab. The part with the size (2m, 4m, 8m?) however is always on the outside, clearly visible on any tube not currently in use.
  14. On my phone so can't link, but have you looked at the satellite network mod? That simulates signal travel time across your network.
  15. My main peeve with science is if i use it i have to go to the moon in a tin can with an engine, rather than an awesome Apollo rocket. So I just play sandbox and recreate historical missions and future concept missions.
  16. Gary Flandro is the guy who realised Voyager could slingshot itself around the solar system and visit all the other planets with very little fuel by comparison. One thing I'd really like to do but lack the ability is to figure out how to do something similar in KSP. I guess somebody with some Excel skills might be able to figure it out, we'd need to some maths to figure out when transfer windows from kerbin to planet A, results in an arrival at planet A during a transfer window from planet A to planet B. I guess planet A could be Eve, Duna, and/or Dres, with planet B (and C?) being Jool, Duna, and/or Dres. Maybe even a flyby of Kerbin after Eve, like recent Mars mission that's name escapes me. (PS - I didn't put this in the challenges forum since it's not a challenge to build a craft that does something) I guess gold goes to whoever figures out how to do it with the least dv?
  17. Take Kerbals to and from Vall and Laythe. Duna base? I'm trying to do things in some kind of progression though, so not just doing those two objectives straight off the bat.
  18. ya, realised i get 1 unit every 10 days or something. I'm using the 1.25m size reactor, do i get more from a larger reactor? And will it still generate it when i'm off doing other missions?
  19. I can only get tritium by making it myself right? I've made a test truck with a nuclear reactor on it, an electrical generator, the radiators, a tank of lithium and a deuterium/tritium tank to capture the tritium from the tritium breeding. But i get nothing. What am i doing wrong?
  20. Think the mod just needs some demo craft to show what works with what. I've spent all of last night trying parts together.
  21. Just wait until we find it as a new easter egg.
