  1. its way better to say current KSP 1, but only in sandbox.
  2. permeant early access, its a beta, regardless of what they call it.. you buy the game you keep the game. Grammerly removed: I can expect only it take a few years if they are not giving time frames.
  3. almost full price, im expecting it to be 60 usd on full release w/o DLC's, so we are getting a "savings" of 10 dollars
  4. well with them saying that the price will go up in price after full release they will be losing some income, but i can already see this game getting 100k downloads before even 1.0, but with steam saying only a active 12k players on ksp, im just skewing my view via the amount of "reviews" but then again ksp 2 ear access announcement OVER 320k views in 15 hours.. might say something elsewise of the intial amount of purchases before full release (currently looking at how many views right now, 420k nice)
  5. its early access of the full game, so yes if you buy now, you keep forever (unless there is DLC's that require purchase)
  6. My man has never heard of space engineers, Minecraft multiplayer both has tons of space, but you often see people stick together, even in the case of minecraft, where they are millions of blocks away they still make a way to see eachother/build things together, show off what they have done.
  7. i would use all of those, there is different wants/visuals at different times..
  8. Estimated Arrival :EA or ETA, Estimated Time Arrival.. February 24th is the Beta Release date for 50 usd. they gave us a road map with zero EA on each section. so i can guess its year(s) away from 1.0 unless proven/said otherwise
  9. So due to it being harder to make/produce, and not having it from "stage" 1 or 2 on the road map, its near second to last for using it? how long in actual time would it be before we can start working on understanding of the mechanics of how the Resource Gathering will work with the, Science Gathering, Tech Tree Progression, Colony Parts, OVA, and Interstellar Parts? That stage regardless if its (example) 6-7 months after the initial release of ksp 2, will pretty much rewrite the entire understanding of how to play the game, making most "known" resources when the game while in beta pretty much useless having it so far away from the first two stages.. AKA Science and Colonies You as the player would HAVE to restart a save to relearn/understand the importance of how rare a material is, how hard it is to get, how hard it is to build a ship with the materials, how hard it will be to build "safe" resource ships or storage area's in space (if your just that fancy), how hard it would be to do the first couple of runs without automation, how hard it would be to BUILD a interstellar ship, let alone fuel the ship with the more rare, or just in general expensiveness of the ship to build.. and thats the largest issue i see right there, people will build there wildest dreams motherships/rockets/colonies just to be showed later down the line what they did is so impracticable its not worth doing, and if the resources are going to be cheap for building there dream then the mechanic would be a "mute" thing why would the mechanic exist in the first place.. Its setting up beta playing a confusing time where new players will be confused that they cannot build a rocket that there friend or popular content creator, for example "ShadowZone" and "Matt Lowne" made due to having the resource pooling/automation such a late feature, unless this road map is in "only 2023 years time as an example", this also makes most videos UNTIL the resource gathering roadmap stage hits almost completely useless, unless the mechanic will not be used/utilized more than what people are initially thinking ( like i am ), which either way will set up for the mechanic not to work as well as people hoped, and the "transition" will be a nightmare, i can already see people complain that they built a XYZ before the exploration stage and how expensive it is to make, and vise versa, its setting up the balance for failure in my mind.
  10. i think the option of having modded ones, or heck the ones they have shown should be an "option"
  11. So here is my full opinion so far with this release of the most recent video instead of just giving out a straight one line sentence.. Im not trying to sound pessimistic, rude, ungrateful or anything that can start hate wars, nor something someone can nickpick every sentence i typed, im stating what as for someone that has been watching/reading since the release of ksp 1 to now. i have re-edited this since 12pm my time so the train of thought doesn't exist im sorry its typical. So, congrats on releasing the game.. We have a date, price, location to buy all in one location, easy to read easy to find, and is on some of the largest platforms for PC consumption of video games such as steam, and epic games. The game price, is, rather slightly hard to swallow knowing that "some" of the "key" important features like Science, Colonies, Interstellar Travel, Other Solar Systems, Resource Gathering along side Automation and finally Multiplayer will not be implemented at the date of release, at 50 USD, that is almost as much as a AAA title without the microtransactions (around 60 USD on avg for a AAA game with microtransactions/DLC), for a game that will further along the line will get its main features installed later down the road.. I can only assume it will further increased to 60 usd as well. I'm not suggesting that the price should be lowered or that its to high, trust me i understand that money is needed for how much work, members, expectations etc, however i'm pointing out for a game of this caliber purchasing "early" feels kinda off, as if we are lacking "goodies" for saying thank you for playing early in this state, suggestions can be brought up but i can only think of things that will correlate to Multiplayer section like titles, or a band around your pfp icon, or things like a custom KSP 2 AI pfp maker, but thats sounds to greedy and needy... I'm just stating in a fashion of beta state game with a roadmap etc i would like to see something to show that you played when it came out, or joined in/played during X time of ksp 2.. As of right now understanding where the game is located in development, the lack of a science mode/career mode largely, in my mind is a let down for the current time, this removes almost all aspects of wanting to push harder than before, and alongside with other stuff being removed is a hard case to suggest my friends to play things like ksp 2 when it comes out due to the lack of something "new" (loosely vets will enjoy ksp 2 regardless) for the veteran ksp players, we hear about wanting us to go to ALL the kerbal system planets but at the end of the day wouldn't really require much time at the end, we would build a "Obama Square The 37th" and go to all the planets and shortly due to the newer/refreshed mechanics of time warp etc. I would say, even as a healthy amount of playing just to ensure "you seen everything" having around 150 hours worth of content they can viably do before running out of content. I could have easily said 200-300 hours without a doubt if any of the one missing parts of the roadmap was going to be implemented on release date.. I don't really suggest the entire roadmap in my mind and i would love to see it separated in a different way if the road map is in YEARS, not in a half years time a good suggestion would be Stage 1: Science, Science Gathering, Tech Tree Progression, Resource Gathering. Stage 2: Colony Parts, Orbital Vehicle Construction Stage 3: Interstellar Scale Parts, New Debdeb System Stage 4: More launch locations (not understanding that part) and Multiplayer, New Solar System.. In my mind seeing it formatted like that would make someone WANT to come back each stage being completed due to it all "comes together" instead of "one piece split from another".. The first stage would make it challenging and give people creative idea's how to land large mining areas WITHOUT OVA and making large ships without breaking the bank if that is something that is enabled while also exploring the Science side of KSP. Alongside this they can start to flesh out there Tech Tree to a point where colonies, better rocket fuel etc will be started to be made, with automated launch machines already gathering resources, the drills/factory's mining etc and making a "pseudo OVA" where rss can be in high orbit to be transferred later to other planets or transferred back home. Sadly i can only see a small factory working due to limit sizes of weight etc for kerbain launches, this will also already put in the mind set that you need automated runs for resources so you can make machines and fuel for the WAY harder levels if that will still exist in the game, and would teach players how to do "suicide burns" or "proper expensive multipart landings" for the people that want the extra challenge. Stage two would be perfectly connected from stage one, you already have your fleet of rss ready or landed in some cases heck you can be coming in from the first time and have options due to OVA being available compare to stage one, routes, and understanding of what to do to make the OVA, and colonies work, now you just need to connect the dots and make it official! The original format doesn't quite line up in my mind, why would gathering resources not be in the science/rocket buildings BEFORE colonies and interstellar, but after its a huge miss in my mind. With the second stage you can really ramp up large factories and production of rare resources materials, exotic fuels etc, compared to before of the very fine and few limited amount you had before... Stage three is now in a better understanding, you have learn from CC's or your friends about this great game called KSP 2, where you can build rockets, build colonies, make them self sufficient, make fuel, find exotic materials, create HUGE Intersolar system rockets, and this stage now brings in interstellar travel, where you can go to a new solar system! Stage four is now the time to shine, you have everything nearly perfectly polished out, all you have now is multiplayer to play with your friends and a new solar system to play with. In my mind that makes more sense in the start, people like Content Creators and people alike will start to play ksp 2 and being able to see what they are capable of doing due to "a new game" with new parts, but slowly but surely it gets better and better and even if you started playing when it was released after stage one, your brain is engrained of how to do ABC, XYZ QWERTY, etc. There would already be plenty of videos, and knowledge, game bugs/mechanics fleshed out and fixed before multiplayer even comes out, with the "most important" beginner stages being completed "first"... Anyway, sorry for that small rant, i think i should have stated where my mind is coming from before anything else, When i see a road map, i hear "1 year and a half plus" not for example 6 months.. the most challenging part will be getting people to understand resources gathering is a thing and aswell as science etc and have it all meld together properly instead of separating it by (*) amount of time.. When ksp 2 comes out of beta there would/will be tons of videos of how to efficiently do XYZ and ABC, aswell as hitting that sweet sweet free advertising. having it staged where the "hardest new player hurdel" at the start will help make more videos, and understanding of how to make a functional "fun" (fun being subjective depending on if difficulty exists) gameplay I don't have much more issues of everything else... People will talk about "only windows" and the only thing i can think of its one "platform" instead of 3+ os/platforms.. if this is to much of a "wall" please do not :snip: please just spoil it.
  12. yes i did, edging us about the release date isn't anything informal and doesn't give us any information that we didn't know.... just like the youtube video that was posted about early 2023, by what they said will be released nothing was given besides a folder saying release date do not open....
  13. not gonna post the twitter post, but they are making a KSP tiktok, no KSP 2 videos/photos. that are worth it.
  14. its way more realistic tho, i like the look of it, sadly i do miss the blue
  15. and just for reference for people that glance quickly
  16. that is going to be a mean IVA if it is true no way that its gonna be that detailed etc for you to NOT be able to use iva's at any point for full control with detailed screens etc ( should state i know its "Old")
  17. i kinda really miss the "Show and Tells" with the upbeat fast past high information videos... it was really cool and interesting
  18. ok? don't need turn it on, i even stated saying its showing the limits of what the game can do with tires... no reason to talk about it then its a tv static statement. can't you adjust the settings? just like the collisions. oh, you CAN, intresting. yup cannot read the entire post, i don't care if it needs more time or not even come out this decade im putting what they said out of when the possible release is, its not fautual that it will happen on X date, im saying that if they want to keep the "lines" of what they stated, they only have X, amount. thank god you are me and know exactly what i think about this game at all times. same thing, but read the entire post instead of whatever you want to make yourself seem justified to make yourself seem better. man, you literally cannot read what i typed, in my honest opinion i don't like parallax 2.0 at the end i like its there, just like i said its fun to see how the game has grown to a point that such mods exist for ksp, but i honestly don't like it, but oh, you are me, you know exactly who i am... good, thats a healthy statement, thank god im not saying the game should be that good in regard of visuals. people already talking about the mod. i got no complaints?? so far 3 people that think they know every ounce of the game and think they are the other person, amazing.
  19. for me the parallax mod, in terms of visual/gameplay enhancement is the end all of all mods.. It shows the full potential of what ksp has grown into over the 11 years and with sufficient hardware you are able to enjoy the "small details" even if it is showing the literal limit of what the game engine can do, things such as FPS, Collisions, Tires etc, it all shows in a small package, of the entire limit of ksp before we head off to ksp 2, people (like myself) have only really seen, and heard about what it would look like in ksp 2, we have seen the Mun far away and it looks like a masterpiece that took 1000's of man hours to produce, but then we get a post of the mun in alpha still that looks like still stock based ksp with very limited amount of ground scattering when we compare it to just scatter 2.0 which just as it stands it blows ksp 2 out of the water.. We haven't seen all the small details that on the ground for scattering for ksp 2 yet, we have only really seen the physical ground rework, the large scatter items rework, but not the small fine details that in the example of mun again, parallax 2.0 has almost nailed in realism of small rocks, bumps everywhere as "far as the eye can see", but cannot get that "soft dusty" look that real life has on our own moon, its still "flat" and undetailed even by the standards of stock ksp, its still flat as of now as what we have seen in ksp 1. We haven't seen PBR yet for the ground as we are still in "alpha" when in terms of "early 2023" can be as late as March 31st, which is 180 days left, unless they change how much more time they need which i really don't mind, if it needs more time give it more time im not saying the visuals are bad, or that they are doing bad, im stating that in terms of how it looks, ksp 1, and ksp 2 look almost identical "on the ground".. when we look at the Kerbal Space Program 2 - Show and Tell Highlights #2 on the youtube channel, you see at a "close" distance it looks amazing within a degree of even graphical mods, but the standards of what we have seen in game from photos even if it is called "alpha" they are missing quite a bit of the finer details that hopefully will be shown soon:tm:... I don't perfer, and i don't like saying "this game gotta be at least X mod good" if that was the case i would wanted NAPP resource pack running at 4k 60fps a long time ago on minecraft, its not my thing, but within a degree of seeing what we have seen and what we have got, there is gaps missing i cannot wait to see filled.
  20. love to see the volumetric clouds, very pog, very clean
