I know what you're thinking, "hasn't this been in like, all of your What did You do in KSP Today posts?" Yes, actually, it has. But, what you saw was a different iteration. There have been three iterations of this save file. The first one was my very first save file, and then there was the second one, where I did an oopsie and kinda sorta corrupted thew whole save file, and lost a month of progress. So now I'm redoing it, but this time I will document it. No more destroying my hard drive with screenshots, now I will destroy internet servers with them! For legal purposes, that was a joke. The thread hath been discontinued. Read it still if you want, but here’s the rebooted version: YEAR 1, DAY 1 Head Administrator of the United Kerbin Administration (UKA) Sernad Kerman has just signed an act to create a brand new space program, called Beyond! The public is abuzz with this news! Thoughts fly through Kerbals’ heads. Is this a good thing? Is this a waste of time? What did I have for dessert yesterday? All 3 questions can be answered with 3 simple answers: Yes, no, and chocolate cheesecake. So, how will things pan out? First, the famed pilot Jebediah Kerman will test the Terror Bird plane, and be the first Kerbal to break the sound barrier. Next, 3 satellites will be launched: Kerbnik 1, 2, and 3. After that, the goal will be to put the first Kerbals into space. If all goes well, we may see a Kerbal on the Mun by Day 100! A lot of our money is going into this, so it better be worth our damn taxes. *** MISSION LIST ONGOING MISSIONS Explorer 2: Orbit Ike Pioneer 2: Orbit Gilly Expedition 5: Continue Kerballed Presence aboard Kerman Station Expedition 6: Continue Kerballed Presence aboard Kerman Station SPACE STATIONS KERMAN STATION: EXPEDITION 5: COMMANDER: Seefield Kerman SCIENTIST: Jedsted Kerman FLIGHT ENGINEER: Dalong Kerman EXPEDITION 6: COMMANDER: Hergan Kerman SCIENTIST: Jasel Kerman FLIGHT ENGINEER: Coremy Kerman

DOCKING OF RESUPPLY MODULE: NOVEMBER, 2023 The ESA successfully docked the resupply module to the Lunar Gateway! It will fill up landing systems, the Orion capsule, and really anything that requires propellant. In February, the Landing systems will be delivered to gateway. So, I did do a bit of a funny. It's been a while since I've done any mission report, and I forgot to take screenshots of the entire journey here. Oops.

Philadelphia 93.3 WMMR! (That's a local thing, but still)

Behold! A recreation of the Explorer 1 satellite! The explorer 1 was the USA's first satellite, and proved the existence of the Van Allen Belts. It was launched atop a Juno I rocket, on January 31st, 1958. The satellite was four stages, with the fourth still being attached once it got to orbit. It's a fairly faithful recreation to the Explorer satellites. It has about 5.5 km/s of DeltaV, and can re-create the orbital path really well. It even has experiments that are somewhat similar to the ones that were on explorer! Stock, of course. KerbalX Link: https://kerbalx.com/Some_KSP_Player/Explorer-Satellites

Yay! They fixed it! -
KSP Non-Responsive
Kerbalsaurus replied to Kerbalsaurus's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Never mind, I figured it out. Celestial Science Editor was the problem. I’m fact, it caused almost all of my mods to fail. I had no idea I even had it installed lol. Must have been some dependency from mods past. -

I rate it a 9/10. It's a very scenic shot, but it's very confusing to look at. Original Profile: -
KSP's homepage straight up won't respond to what I tell it. If I try to click anything, it doesn't work. I know it's a mod, since it worked fine when I started it purely stock to "warm up" the game (when I re-install KSP, this time for the update, I start it up real quick to get all of the files open). Has anyone else encountered this issue, and what mod is it related too?

This Day in Aviation and Spaceflight History
Kerbalsaurus replied to Mars-Bound Hokie's topic in Science & Spaceflight
The Chinese satellite, Beihangkongshi-1, Launched on top of a long March 7, tested the first iodine propulsion engine. Nothin’ that extraordinary, but cool nonetheless. Launched in 2020. Source: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2020_in_spaceflight -
KerbalX.com - Craft & Mission Sharing
Kerbalsaurus replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
There's a ton of craft on the homepage without images. At first I thought someone was spam-uploading craft (by the way, please stop that), but then I saw that there were multiple different accounts with craft like that. Is anyone else aware of this issue? -
I didn’t really do much today (or rather yesterday). All I really did was install new mods, and tried them out. I’ll list the mods here if you want them.

PPE/HALO, JULY, 2023 Construction of the Lunar Gateway will finally begin. The Module to be launched will be the Power and Propulsion Element (PPE), and the Habitation and Logistics Outpost (HALO). They will be launched atop SpaceX's Falcon Heavy Rocket. These two modules will be launched together, with the ESA Launching a Resupply module afterwards, and NASA launching the landing systems. . Falcon Heavy on LC39a. Booster Separation. Stage 2 ignition. Orbital insertion burn. TLI burn (waterfall, stopped working). During the coasting period, it's discovered that stage 2 does not have enough DeltaV to preform a Lunar braking burn with a payload this heavy. As such, stage 2 will be crashed into the Moon, and the engine cluster on the PPE module will be used for the braking burn. Lunar orbital insertion burn. And with that, the first module of the Lunar Gateway has been put into a polar Lunar orbit. Next month, the ESA will be launching an Ariane V to deliver the re-supply module.

My install broke! I have to move all the flags, screenshots, saves, and mods that weren't installed by CKAN moved to another folder, and then I have to re-install the game and everything!

I can't upload a new entry today, since I left my phone at school! YAAAAAAY ! I have ideas for the next one, though.

What does everyone think of the stock system and replicas. I've found a few mods that could help with this, and maybe I can swap to KSRSS. What do you all think?

JEB'S LOG KERBIN DATE: YEAR 175, DAY 363 It was a long night last night, or should I say, long what I thought was night. As it turns out, this planet has a 24-hour rotation period, or 4 Kerbin days. Which means I had to sleep in broad daylight. But today is a new day, and I have explored the much more cozy part of this facility. Appears very gray in color, and reminds me a lot of the Mun back home. From what I can tell, this appears to be a hang out sort of area for those who live here. Very large circle in the center, made of polyester. I hope I don't get caught. I want to remain low profile here. I’ve also come to a realization that the Old Bay is edible. I’ll have to find that soon. Very scenic outside view. There appears to be a very large screen in the middle, used for recreational purposes. Turning it on and looking through it, I have found out a lot about these creatures. Things that have stood out to me is that they're called Humans, and have also achieved space travel in the last 100 years. They also dramatize a lot of things that seem routine in life. Very large indeed. I have climbed up to the very top of one of these fabric-esque structures that surround the center of the room, and I've gotten a much closer look at the mega fauna that lives here. The Baron, as it's called, is a very... rotund creature. Very large and smelly, and has mouth full of very sharp looking teeth. It appears completely harmless though, and has little no intelligence. Further research is needed of this creature, but I've collected a sample of it's hair. Most likely a domesticated creature. Nose very wet, I suggest keeping away from that. The surface of these structures appear uneven, and very squishy and soft. If laid on for long enough periods, they will start to heat up. I suppose the fabric keeps the heat trapped. The fabric covering the structure has a floral design pattern to it, and seem like it was a hard job to sew. Looking closely though, it was manufactured in a facility far way from here. Tag says, made in China. I must see this "China" place, if given the chance. I have decided to bounce around the top for... research purposes. Yeah... That was fun researching.

Thanks. I'm not sure where he should go next... maybe the large area with something called... a rug.

JEB'S LOG KERBIN DATE: YEAR 175, DAY 362 Hello. I'm Jebediah Kerman, the first at really anything in Kerbalkind's history. Recently, I got into a fight with my computer, and it appears to have gotten mad and has crashed me on a mysterious planet. At first, it was disorienting. But its gravity and density is similar to that of Kerbin's and it has an oxygenated atmosphere, and even lifeforms! I have decided to take of my helmet, ad take a breath of fresh air... BLAH! It smells like sulfur! It appears an intelligent species inhabits this planet, and are polluting its atmosphere. Capsule, flora, and large fauna in the background. Appears to be called... Baron. I appear to have landed in front of some large facility, it's purpose unknown. I have decided to go in. Is it stupid? Yes, very. But I'm stuck on this planet, and no one can tell me what to do, so let's go. Appears to be made of plastic, and is a bluish-gray in color. Has large windows, and stairs leading up to a large glass door. Also appears to have something called an "air-conditioning unit". Strange... Inside, there's sudden temperature change. It's warmer than the outside. There's a large, square structure, with Granite on top. Strange substances are stored there. "Old Bay Seasoning" "Spaghetti Sauce" "Cough Drops". All very odd. They will require more research. Also has an item called a mixer. It smells very good, and I am tempted to have a little taste...

Artemis 2, MAY, 2023 Today is the day Humans finally go back to the Moon. Well, not to land, but to get into a low orbit of. To see if Orion is to be put in a polar Lunar orbit, to scout out a possible landing site for Artemis 3 next year. It will carry the first women to the Moon, and the first man since 1972. Orion and the SLS have undergone a few changes, giving them much more stable designs, and making them look much cooler . The SLS and it's crew are sitting on the pad, ready to go. Artemis 2, ready and waiting on the pad. T- 10, 9, 8, 7, 6- Ignition sequence start, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Liftoff of Artemis 2! 10 km up, roll program going fine. Orbital insertion burn. Artemis 2 is now in a stable Earth orbit! Go for TLI! (I hate dark burns) Separation of exploration upper stage. For the next 3 days, Artemis 2 will coast towards the Moon. It will preform several experiments, tests, and a mid-course correction burn to put into a low polar Lunar orbit. Mid-course correction burn. T- 1 minute to Lunar orbit injection burn. Lunar orbit achieved. Earthrise over Lunar North pole. Observing Lunar south pole for a good landing site. Seems to be very mountainous, maybe a crater landing could do... After about 3 days in lunar orbit, preforming experiments, tests, and observing the south pole for a landing site, Artemis 2 burns back for Earth. 3 days later, it's back at Earth. All that stand between the 2 is an atmosphere, and a heat shield. A real fireball starts to appear around Artemis 2! Parachutes are deployed, and Artemis goes in for a landing just a few km away for the KSC (I did not do this on purpose)! After a 10 day mission, Artemis 2 returns safely back to Earth! The crew has made history as the first humans to the Moon since Apollo 17. In a few months, construction of the Lunar Gateway will start.
