3/10 for generic generated banner thing. -
A few tips on improving the writing: • First, use quotation marks instead of script-style speaking. For example: Bob: Hello, my name is Bob. Which should be: Bob said, 'Hello, my name is Bob.' • Second, insert more detail into your writing. It helps a lot with making the story a more interesting read, and it makes everything seem more lifelike. • Third, pay attention to spelling and grammar. It might not seem that important, but running a story through spellcheck or manually looking through it for mistakes does wonders for the story.

Just color your nation one color (Color over the name), then select it by color and find out how many pixels. It\'s not calculated in a square. -

So only 400 kerbs per pixel? Wow. Anyways, that brings my max population down from 4.5 million to 900,000 Kerbals. Probably going to start at, like, 450,000 or something. -

Okay, so I outlined my nation using the magic wand tool with GIMP, but I can\'t seem to find where it shows the pixel count. Kryten, any help? EDIT: Never mind, figured it out! Rounded a bit because of inaccuracies in the selection and for ease of use, my nation is made up of 2,250 pixels; which, with 2000 kerbs per pixel, means I have a limit of 4,500,000 Kerbals. -

Wait, does anyone have a map of Kerbin from the site with my nation still on it? I just remembered that I saved that file in \'downloads\' for some reason, and last week I trashed all the stuff in that section I deemed useless; apparently I didn\'t notice that I deleted the map. -

Yep, I\'m on a Mac. Going to play around with the \'select by color\' feature of GIMP and see if it\'ll give me the pixel count... -

*Population gets out of hand* NUKE HALF THE WORLD! Problem solved. Anyways, does anyone have a method for figuring out their pixel count without actually counting them individually? Because back when the site was up, I was counting individual pixels; made it to five hundred, blinked, lost my place, gave up and guesstimated 1,750 pixels. Also, my solution for population control is to take half the children of the world and enter them all in a giant version of the Hunger Games. If you lose, you\'re dead; the winner dies too, but they get to be euthanized instead of skewered with a sword :3 -
Denmark. Just saw it\'s been said before... Delos

Or, if you still want to go with the complexity, just let half(All? Some?) of the adults stay adults and have children for two birth cycles. Nation A has 60 Adults, 30 children and 10 seniors. A birth cycle passes; Nation A now has 30 children, 60 adults and 35 seniors. Another birth cycle passes. Now there are 45 adults, Gah, pretty sure that way would end with a population decrease as well. Maybe we should just keep the percentage increase, but bump up the number of Kerbals per pixel. -

Either way, in my opinion it still seems slightly more accurate than assuming every couple in the world has a child every ten years, and no one ever dies. -

Ooh, fanceh. I especially like the quick navigation on the right and the announcements up top. Should make it easy to find out what\'s going on. Also, a quick question about population increase: Basically, the way I remember it being set up is where the population increases steadily every two weeks, correct? Well, it\'s not like every ten years every couple in the world has a child. Eventually people would grow old and the new generation would be too young, and soon after the new generation grows up the generation before that would die, keeping the population fairly level (Albeit over a large course of time), unless families have more than an average of two children each (One per ten years as according to the way things are set up now). Basically, it\'s this: Versus this: Of course, I could be getting this completely wrong and it\'s correct the way you have it. -

Ooh, yay! Only a little bit more than four days until we can be RPing again! -
Wow. How\'d you do it? Are there any effects used, or are you just an amazing artist?

No sketches, but, uh:

Has anyone been to the international forums?
Anomalous_Matter replied to Ydoow's topic in The Lounge
I speak a little French (Just finished my French 1 course, so all I really know are basic words), but I still rely un peu on Google Translate for my sentences to make much sense in the International forums. -
If you can make this go faster and look more smooth, I will be eternally grateful.

Object #: DCE-004, AKA 'The Space Kraken' Object Class: Auge/Ceter Preventative Measures - As of now, the only known way to combat the DCE-004 is not to go into warp speed in [REDACTED] orbits. Scientists hypothesize that the Kraken is somehow infinitely large and has infinite mass, which allows it to travel faster than light to prey on various satellites and rockets warping through the universe. The DCE-004 is most likely indestructible. Description - The DCE-004 is a large, powerful, seemingly invisible being that seems to inhabit [REDACTED] orbit. It seems to only be able to travel by warping time around itself, and therefore can only prey on ships travelling at extremely high altitudes and using similar warp speeds. In every case, the so-called Space Kraken leaves no trace of the rocket it destroys, leaving not a single trace. However, probes sent out have transmitted extremely strange transmissions, just moments before being [REDACTED]. The readings are always [REDACTED] in nature, and scientists have begun studies to find the Kraken utilizing these past readings. In one case, a manned research probe was attacked by the Kraken just as it was leaving [REDACTED] orbit, and one man lived to send a few transmissions before his spacecraft was destroyed. He seemed to have gone completely insane, and most of the transmissions were gibberish, but some words were able to be understood. An official copy of the transmissions is located in file [REDACTED].

I don\'t entirely understand what \'A check in advance\' means. Also, can we have a slightly higher tech level at the start this time around? 70s/80s instead of the 60s would be nice. -

So, if Ascen ends up making a new RP forum, everyone would have to take the test again, but the ones who already passed Radion\'s would get a sort of \'extra credit\' type thing? Or would people who passed Radion\'s not have to redo the test at all?
