The improved grip is so you can get better traction for accelerating. They won't magically make your vehicle stick to the ground if ypu're trying to turn too quickly on a world where your vehicle has negligible weight but all of its original inertia. That's just the physics of the situation.

They are in game data/Squad/Flags, you can't apply them to ships yet, but after you choose one it appears on the flag pole at KSC, and if you right-click on a Kerbal while he is EVA on a world, there is the option to have him stick one where he is standing.

And one of the items on that list is my example rocket and orbital walkthrough, which you can read/download here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/25008-How-to-reach-orbit-and-a-rocket-that-can-do-it-a-walkthrough-for-newbies

Fun with crew seats. Want to feel the wind in your hair? Then why not buy yourself the new Utralight-1 Bullet from Yeahletstrythatdyne? Fun for buzzing the tower... or taking in the scenery. Not feeling it? Then go take a flying leap! No, really, leap from space safely with the even newer Mk86 Ejection seat, also from Yeahletstrythatdyne. Seats one in terrifying semi-comfort. Activate the chute while you still have a power source and eject whatever's left from the wreck of your ship... tumble in helpless terror... then float happily and serenely back to kerba firma... and live to tell the tale.

Are you sure you didn't just put them in the other movement mode by bumping the alt key?

You just have to keep wiggling them around until they snap into place. It's kind of hard, but there's no special trick to it. -
Not sure anyone else has found this yet...

Go IVA on the new cockpit types and read the notices and post-it notes. -
It does exhibit much less wobble, but if you overload it with mass or Gs, it tends to fail in a weird way. It does not break or explode, but seems to turn mushy and let the parts above and below it run into each other and explode. This is actually 2 orange tanks that started out one above the other, but now are overlapping, an instant before they detonated.

A lot of the stuff on Youtube is poop, but I wasn't aware that was something people did on purpose. Meanwhile, after you post 5 times and the forum is sure you're not a spambot, you'll get permission to do things like choose an avatar.

Kerbals will improve their skills over time, but while those stats have been in their records for over a year, they do not learn yet.

Do persistent and craft files transfer properly?
-
Well, I am at 26% download, and so far I like it. (Really guys, can't we take some time to see what it is before we make up our minds?)

Rather than drive yourself crazy trying to thread a needle, just add ejectable wheels to your buildings, land fairly close, and drive them to the exact spot you want them.

Katateochi's, well, everything is good, but my favorites are the Mun disco and war robot FRANK. https://www.youtube.com/user/katateochi?feature=watch -
Why didn't you have the brake on to begin with? But yes, there are just spots of ground where mini-krakens live. I lost a rover on Vall because every time I loaded it with a quicksave, the right rear wheel would explode and send the rover tumbling. It does seem to be where one piece of terrain meets another.
-
I don't really dislike any of them, but Eve's color scheme is such that it conceals scenery. Can you tell I'm flying over a rather large and steep mountain here? So for scenery, you can't beat Vall.

Controlling objects with probe cores

The station in orbit has only its own inertia to resist the torque of the pod, but a ship taking off has to deal with the weight distribution of the ship, forces applied by the airflow, exactly how the thrust of the engine is aligned with the COM, and the inertia of the ship. -
Designing a jet powered rover
Vanamonde replied to creator1629's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
1. Use the old, airplane landing gear wheels. They can go much faster without failing, but will need some strut reinforcement so they don't flex under strain and send the vehicle tumbling. 2. Wing surfaces angled down will apply downforce, not as an air foil, but simply as an inclined plane. 3. Parachutes can be repacked by a Kerbal on EVA, but do use an action group to deploy them, because for some reason resetting the staging doesn't re-trigger the chutes. -
