What is the rationale behind playing completely stock?
TeddyDD replied to falloutaddict's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Definitely not. Usually I don't play KSP after update because I'm waiting to mods. -
No. Time for improving basic things like aerodynamics, careerer etc. was in alpha and beta. Now it supposed to be finished and perfect. Finally this is 1.0

Realistic one. So completely different than yours. Stop crying and learn how to play this game. This

[1.3.1] Ferram Aerospace Research: v0.15.9.1 "Liepmann" 4/2/18
TeddyDD replied to ferram4's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Oh yes! This will be amazing! But it is! (or rather was, because new stock aero is hyper easy to fly planes) Even if you are not a pilot. Of course, until you try to do something very unrealistic. And in my opinion this is the advantage- 14,073 replies

More players is like more boosters. Always good thing

Who is this and why should I care?

Thank you e-dog for update! I really hope they will be customizable. I mean I can't live without Jupiter fairings from Blackheart's pack http://imgur.com/a/6Sn4J#5

2.5 gb on clean install (64bit version)

WHAT? Keen SWH and Space Engineers are 500x better at doing early access than Squad! 1. They have pretty good game but they still working on it and NOT claiming it is a 1.0 version! Space Engineers is way more "complete" at the moment than KSP. (they are lacking of some optimization but that is usually last thing to do) 2. They really listen to community! In their weekly updates there is a lot of ideas requested by the community. 3. New stuff every week. That is awesome. And there is sometimes big update like procedurally generated asteroids and upcoming planets. I have nothing against releasing KSP 1.0 soon. I'm against releasing 1.0 with tons of new features without ONE (at least) beta! And NO. Q&A doesn't count. Why? How many bugs was discovered on 1.0 streams on Twitch? That is why.

Proper Fairings ASAP
TeddyDD replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
So maybe there is hope. EDIT: Nope. Edit just let you go back to creating fairing. -
Proper Fairings ASAP
TeddyDD replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
HA HA HA NOPE From what I saw on stream there isn't any options to customize fairings. And they are confeti style. Just as I thought. -
Proper Fairings ASAP
TeddyDD replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Don't worry about free (free as in speech) mods. They do not disappear. There always is someone who will maintain this mods. Also I'm going use PF after 1.0 hits and I think many users also will. So this mod probably will be OK About non-free mods... Well, they will die sooner or later. So personally I don't care. -
Proper Fairings ASAP
TeddyDD replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
@WildLynx No. Procedural Fairings have predefined shape per part (so you can attach egg shaped one or conic shaped) It's defined in config file (as Bézier curve or something). You can adjust fairing diameter. Squad version is different. You create fairing shape by youself by adding points by clicking. It's like a polyline. You can create any shape but curvature will be only approximation (through adding lot of points) Not really great idea while most fairings looks like this http://wordlesstech.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/The-Most-Powerful-Space-Rocket-How-It-Works-2.jpg Squad decide to use this method because the whole "lego like feeling" thingy. IMHO the best solution would be implementing Procedural Fairings method with simple curve editor so user could define any fairing they need(smoothly curved and sharp if will) -
The ROUND8 memorial thread - UPDATE: It's alive!
TeddyDD replied to ShadowZone's topic in KSP1 Discussion
That's why I don't use non-free mods. -
This thread is just waste of time. Squad seems not to listen community when they don't want to. They just doing what they want. Probably making a new tank model is to much effort according to rush for 1.0 I'd suggest to just wait and mod this tank back when 1.0 comes. And for bigger xeon tanks we can use one of awesome tanks from Near Future Propulsion by Nertea

Am I allowed to have multiple installs of KSP?
TeddyDD replied to cicatrix's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I hope that sometimes I play KSP with my girlfriend is not licence violation lol -
How do generally install/deinstall your mods?
TeddyDD replied to CaptRobau's topic in KSP1 Discussion
It's exactly what I (and many other people) do. If there is something wrong with metadata I'm sending PR to CKAN repo on github. I added some mods to CKAN too. I'm spending less time on these contributions than you manually checking for updates -
How do generally install/deinstall your mods?
TeddyDD replied to CaptRobau's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Oh really? How long in takes to check mod update manually? Let's say 30 - 40 seconds per mod. Now, I have 67 mods installed.... So to get newest mods and keep my install up-to-date I'd have to spend 44 minutes every time I play (probably more). https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=Q5JhiixTcU8
