I have about 6 rovers for mun and minmus missions, but I don't see what's so bad about your rover. If I have time, I'll even try to land it on the mun!

I made it to the north pole only using 450L of jet fuel (the plane carried 600L), so I don't think you'll need such a large plane.

The closest I got was a 500m difference. I know I suck at this. What's even crazier is the fact that I was trying to do an orbit rendevous for a Duna lander simulation (you can probably guess how that went).

The Mun is easy to get to, but this is really hard. Helicopters are impossible to land intact unless you use landing gear... hmm, I just got an I idea! Wait a minute... you didn't say it has to have a spinning rover, so I just make a VTOL instead. >
