It's looking like I'm starting to hit a hole here. Personal life and school are a bit too much, and since YouTube is my income I need to prioritize that. Since I'm not living alone, it does not matter but I do need my own money to improve the way I live myself. If I am to do so I have to set priorities. This mod will NOT die instead, I'm going to reserve this mod for improvements and more occasional additions when I get the time. I will slowly go through requests if I can (young and old) but be aware that it probably won't be added anytime soon. When summer hits, specifically after around June 20th, I should be better for development... but that's iffy based on my scheduling I apologize everyone for this, but I've become so stressed that I seriously need to just re prioritize things.... sadly this isn't high on the list, but I will make sure to update to 1.1, and improve it. -Harpwner

[1.1] BDArmory v0.11.0.1 (+compatibility, fixes) - Apr 23
harpwner replied to BahamutoD's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
Thanks for the real quick compatibility update, sometimes I love ya. I really wanna see how it performs now and by the way, the issue that broke my explosions is still present in the code. Did you fix it your own way or (understandably) forget or even rather have a different plan for it? -
You'd have to recompile his code though, unless you made a request on github (which is what I've already done)

no to both, this is a problem directly linked to BD's code, and I already suggested he remove it. The ETA is up to him, not me

I recently figured it out actually, and created a deletion request. What happened was, in the new update he accidentally left in a test line that would force particles to go down to simulate gravity. It didn't work well, but he accidentally left it in. Expect the issue to be patched when he patches the plugin!

So the explosion issue, I have narrowed down to the BDArmory update (as that's when things started to get funny) so I have decided to take it up with Baha, expect a reply on the state of things once I get an update on the state of things... -Harpwner

I actually recently started experiencing it myself after unknown circumstances. I'm going to check out what may cause the issue and fix it before it gets out of hand. I'm going to assume it's a particle and not plugin problem, as I haven't updated my plugin with progressive explosions yet. There may have been something I overlooked, until then just be reassured that I am very well aware of this issue and will do whatever I can to fix it.

Thanks man, it's an especially tedious project with school too. Not only do I worry about the coding risks I take and the possibility of permanently destroying part of my mod, but I also have to cope with the over excessive homework from the American school system that is already statistically proven to have little to no effect on the success of a student. I succeed fine without homework, in fact that's the only reason my grades ever drop. But I digress, with me working on a school project for 8 hours straight yesterday, school can be stressful and the risks are huge so of course development is slow, it's great to see someone who understands. Development is slow right now, but when spring break hits next week I'm going to get some massive headway, hopefully a few new plugin functions and weapons will be added... maybe even the new update will be complete. - Harpwner

Recently it started happening to me as well, I'm going to look into it It is a particle problem, so I'll focus on a few setting that may effect it

ok I'm sorta willing to make the Gustav now, but that will delay the update a bit. Not to mention the current models seem to hate me. The zumwalt isn't appearing in game The Tiger turret is missing a turret for some unknown reason in unity and I've had a lot of issues with coding (more based on me spending all my time on guitar tho) ETA: not a short amount of time

You can't escape nuclear bomb radii until the next update when the explosive shockwaves get implimented Probably shoulda mentioned that

The explosion values will be tweaked, but the minimum safe distance depends if you are going faster than sound or not. If you are going supersonic, if the bomb explodes more than 500m away you'll be fine. However if slower, you'll probably be safe detonating a couple kilometers off?

I wish I could but I've modeled it 3 times and they all had visual errors that... well that didn't bode well. when I do manage it... I'll post, for now though... I simply can't

So it appears I have got the progressive explosions/shockwaves to work on the nuclear bombs... so here's a video to demonstrate It's not much but something I just kinda threw together... couldn't help put a few cinematic elements in of course.

I don't exactly know what's going on here, since this is the first time I've encountered this specific problem. At first I thought it was installation but you have that down, and maybe it was something else but as far as I've seen you are perfect as far as files and gameplay goes. Honestly I'm not sure what to tell ya since this shouldn't be happening in any case

Nope Make sure the North Kerbin Weaponry folder is in GameData, not any other folder

Yup, I'll add that to my todo list This next update so far will include: - Revamped bump textures for most models - Some new parts, including turrets mainly (giving me issues because unity isn't importing my Tiger turret and the zumwalt gun doesn't like to... Not be glitchy) - New progressive explosions tested and approved by me... Now I need to fix up a new module for the weapons - New explosions for: on the ground, in atmosphere, and in space (implimented this myself, will increase update time though) I know I haven't said much, but I'm getting through very tight schedules, so please understand this may be a long update in the making until I get a nice long break from other responsibilities. - Harpwner

Is 'in slow progress' acceptable? I can do a quick release (or prerelease) when I add them, but it will be a while for another full update really

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS I haven't had much time to myself ever since school started picking up... however I still can check forums for like 10 minutes a day and tweak some things. Right now, I'm ending my night by trying to figure out why my progressive explosion won't work, and if I give up I'll work on the naval turrets lol.
