  1. I humbly suggest that it look nothing like that, but instead a pristine and well-painted canadarm-esque replica.
  2. Well c7 didn't always work for squad. IN fact, the is the only reason that spaceplanes are in the game at all. These could be videos from before he was a dev, and was working on mods.
  3. Me? I would kill it with fire! But it's only natural that you would launch something huge from it to test its payload capacity.
  4. Well the specific quote that I used is from today's devnotes. I was wondering if anyone had any further ideas on the issue, or what It might mean. @Deathsoul097, that's also nice to know!
  5. So the official thread hasn't appeared so I will bring this up. Maxmaps mentioned that he was talking with a person about "productive talk with a possible mod platform provider." What could this mean? Does anyone have experience with these types of things? My mind is going wild!
  6. Congrats on your first release of the mod! I hope everyone enjoys playing with it as I do!
  7. I like my shuttles to slowly climb to orbit, and my traditional rockets to go like a bat outta hell.
  8. You would launch to rendezvous, circularize and intercept the target, and dock. There isn't a terrible amount of drag before 50km, so you should be fine. As far as your orbit, go the same way as your target. DO NOT go the opposite way in an effort to catch up faster.
  9. Yea. That's one argument that I agree with. Still, I think it's too big. My only criticisms would be utility (what are you launching that requires a 6m rocket to lift it?) and stability. The nodes in KSP are a little susceptible to wonky behavior. Hopefully this argument goes away with 0.24.
  10. I should add that I thought the phrase was "Food for thought."
  11. By this system, I would call myself a rank 2 player. The question is not IF I will go to a place, but how and in how many phases. I can do anything that needs to be done to accomplish a mission, but I am prone to being rusty in some skills. I don't use some skills, so I lose them. I think that mastery has a building component to it too. Simple rockets can be grasped in the span of a week, but a space shuttle, an SSTO, a grand tour ship, or a reusable ship are completely different challenges. Mastering orbital mechanics is not the only hurdle to becoming a "master." Oh, and Dodgey makes a good point. The title should be GIVEN, not proclaimed. And I would like to add that masters come in two Flavors: Master Builders and Master Pilots
  12. I may have discovered something. Look at the config file for the KW rocketry fairing: MODULE { name = ModuleAnchoredDecoupler anchorName = anchor ejectionForce = -300 explosiveNodeID = bottom } Notice two values in particular: Ejection force (which is negative) and explosive nodeID. Ejection force seems to be a way for you to determine both force AND direction. explosive nodeID may be a way to determine ejection force origin. Try that.
  13. Wait..SSTOVTOL is a GREAT idea! I haven't done something epic in a very long time!
  14. If there are missing parts, then that's a different issue. It would have told you what parts are missing. Try to load some of the craft that were in your save. Opening the alt-f2 menu will tell you what craft it wasn't able to load and exactly which parts it cannot find. THat should give you more information.
  15. The same thing happened to me as well. All of the craft that were in orbit were obliterated, but my landed craft were fine. Try reloading your quicksave. If that doesn't work, you best get to starting over!
  16. 6m is too big. 5m is very large and overkill for many applications. Just my two cents though.
  17. Bob Fitch is the best at the moment.
  18. Wow. The SST and the other station modules are the best I've ever seen! I can't wait!
  19. Grammatically speaking, you would land on Mun. Mun is a moon of Kerbin. This point is highlighted by the fact that Kerbin has more than one moon. I mean, you wouldn't land on "The Kerbin" so why would you land on "The Mun?"
  20. I think a tint of blue is always welcome in my book Oh, and I second that tester thing. I can test FAR compatibility as well.
  21. I second this! I am glad you were able to get help though. Once you "get it" the possibilities are endless!
