  1. Those are things that you should check for yourself. If the lift does not change when you resize the wing, then there will be a problem. Also, anyone know if these wings are compatible with Deadly Reentry yet?
  2. I use mods that add challenge and meaning to my play. Partmods must look good AND have function, and plugins must add functionality and/or challenge (i.e. FAR). I cannot play stock anymore.

  5. Make sure that you detach the umbilical by right clicking on the trunk. Simply decoupling will cause separation anxiety Also, no changelog cBBp?
  6. I have found myself trying to change the camera view on several Youtube videos. I don't realize its a video until about 5 seconds after my first attempt..
  7. Well you solution unnecessarily increases the mass of the part. It's not necessarily a bug, but a natural consequence of supporting so much weight on such a small surface area.
  8. Try mods. If you refuse to try mods, then the game will quickly run out of steam and things to do. Mods add functionality, and aesthetic bearability. The best thing you can do it build bases while squad works on content.
  9. Well I agree that what he built is not a shuttle, but for a different reason: his shuttle...doesn't shuttle anything. There is no cargo bay and thus it cannot take anything to to orbit (or back from orbit).Taking one crew to orbit and back in such a Rube Goldberg way can hardly qualify as being a shuttle.The fact that his lift system is not strictly asymmetrical is completely irrelevant in defining whether or not his craft can be classified as a shuttle. It's important to remember that NASA's iteration of a shuttle is NOT the only way to tackle the problem.
  10. Sorry for the sensationalist title. I am not angry, just curious. I just got an email from squad about resetting my password, but I did not request such a thing. Have I received this in error? Should I be worried about my account integrity?
  11. My dream car? I refuse to pick just one! I like: - Ford GT40. This car is faster than many Lamborghinis and Ferraris and is half the price. - Nissan GT. Again, extremely fast (almost 200mph), seats 5, and conservative enough to drive everyday. All-around most versatile that money can buy. Best part is that it's only 100k. - Subaru Impreza. This is the car that I will probably buy. You can buy an excellent Impreza for under 10k and it will handle the brutal Michigan winters that I am currently enduring now. Amazing car.
  12. So ANY glitch that allows propulsion is a Kraken Drive? It can take any form?
  13. Minmus is not very fun because of the extremely low gravity, really. I don't visit very often. If you are going to get around on minmus, however, suborbital hoppers are very effective. Design one with about 1500 delta-v and it will last you a very long time.

  16. So small tips that you may or may not have tried already: Your mesh for the capsule should be a capsule. There shouldn't really be any special geometry on the mesh of the pod itself. That should reduce polys. Things like windows, decals, etc. should be a part of the texture and normal map of the texture. If you already know this, then you can ignore me and call me SkyHook.
  17. Yea. The real orion capsule is 5m, so considering that kerbals are smaller than humans, 6 for a 3.75m capsule sounds about right.
  18. Fantastic model. I will suggest now that the capsule be 3.75 meters, as this would succinctly differentiate it from the stock Mark 1-2 capsule. Again, it's the prettiest capsule ever!
  19. Same here. I was frustrated by how artificially limiting the stock parts/mechanics were. I installed mods about 2 weeks after I got the game and have never looked back. Anyway, I play KSP because it lets me go to any planet that I can see. It lets me do this with my own craft and engineer a way to do this using MY rules. It lets the scientist in me run wild and the explorer in all of us gets to live and be used. KSP really fills a void that has been empty until its creation. It strikes a perfect balance between simulation and video game. It's awesome. It would be perfect if there were any sort of progression associated with my adventures.
