  1. Definitely go with FRAPS. It's worth the money, and you're not going to find a good free one.
  2. Hey guys. Not sure if this is the place to ask, but I recently saw a similar thread asking about it, which I can't find now. Basically, there's a mod that allows you to take chunks of a design and copy-paste them to another. I don't know the name though, and the SpacePort is awful. Thanks in advance for any help.
  3. Just Duna. Any and all encounters I've had were pure luck.
  4. This game makes me wish the US used metrics. It would be so much easier to understand. On the flip side, it's also a good way to learn the system.
  5. You should have to land on the Mun at least once, obviously, but I feel like there should be something else, too.
  6. This would be great, though there should be some prerequisites.
  7. Due to a VAB error, it only has two legs. Luckily, the engines act as the other two. With this craft, it had better be a slow landing.
  8. Jebediah Kerman is crazy. He'll do anything to complete his mission, and even go rogue just to make them even crazier. Bill is a professional, and will always get the job done. And Bob is... well, Bob. He didn't have Jeb's nerve, or Bill's brains. Really, the only thing that qualified him to be a Kerbonaut was his heart for the job. But he never went on a solo mission. He was too afraid. In every mission, he would scream his lungs out until they were safely landed back home. Bill and Jeb never held it against him, and even did their best to comfort their friend at every step of the way. But after every mission, Bob could only feel shame for his behavior. One by one, Bob's friends had become famous as pioneers. And Bob was just... the one that tagged along. First Jebediah made the first ever Mun walk... ...and then Bill walked on Minmus. Bob had been to both of these places himself, but only much later, in the company of his friends. He was never a pioneer, like them. When that unmanned probe discovered other planets beyond... he knew he had to prove himself. The space center would be sending a single Kerbonaut to Duna. Bob begged be the one to go, and mission control reluctantly agreed. Finally the day came, and Bob's dreams were crushed: The craft he'd be piloting would not be a lander, but an orbiter. Bob went through the launch procedures, but he felt numb. Once again, Bob Kerman was part of a mission that no one would remember him for. After many months, he had achieved a low orbit around Duna. After spending about a week in this position, he received a transmission from mission control. "Bob, we don't know how to tell you this... it doesn't look like you'll have enough fuel to make it back. We're sorry, Bob." Bob sank. He had lived a nobody, and now he was going to die a nobody. But then he had an idea. Maybe, just maybe... Just then, he received another transmission from mission control. "Bob, we've got great news! Using the information we're sending, we think you can make it back with a gravity assist from the Mun!" Bob ignored them, and began burning retrograde. "Bob, knock it off, you're going to need every drop of fuel to come home!" Bob ignored them, and Bill and Jeb pushed the controller aside, grabbing his mic. Jeb's voice came over the speaker. "Bob, you're gonna get yourself stuck up there and it's gonna be a while before we can come get you!" Bob's ship entered Duna's atmosphere, and he began to slow his descent. Suddenly Bill realized what his friend was doing, and tried to protest. "Bob..." Bob waited for him to go on, and when no answer came, he switched the speaker off. He didn't need to hear this. He was only a few kilometers from Duna's surface now, and he was coming in far too fast. He throttled up, closed his eyes, and hoped for the best... Bob Kerman: First Kerbal to walk on Duna. We miss you, Bob.
  9. Seems in the new version, fuel drains way too quickly. I mean, I knew low throttle gave a bit too much bang for your buck in the old version, but this just seems ridiculous. My Revital-5 three-kerbal lander, previously being able to return from Minmus with like half a tank left, and having ditched two stages that could have plenty of fuel left, currently can't even fully return from the Mun. I do have a single-kerbal orbiter that seems to be capable of interplanetary missions, but if this is the new norm for fuel consumption, then this game just got much, much harder...
  10. He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands, He's got the whole world in His hands.
  11. So today I sent a probe out to try and escape Kerbol. It was more than suited for the job, and when I had an escape trajectory, it said it would take 68 years to escape. I set it to max warp and left it running for about an hour and a half, or what ended up being around 16 years in-game. When I came back, I had traveled far, but it still said it would take 68 years. Is it actually possible to fully escape Kerbol? Current distance from Kerbol: 5,892,155,742,208,434m Speed: 12km/s+
  12. Congrats, your space program is on its way! Also, that's a cool looking craft.
  13. Suzaku, that is awesome. Also, I MUST know the name of the song that starts at 15:25! Great music choices throughout.
  14. I don't really have friends (by choice), though times like this I wish I did, if only to push this game on them. I have convinced one person to get it. I post about it on other forums, if I get the chance. Not much more to do than that I guess. Popular youtubers covering it seems to be a good way to get people in.
  15. I'm pretty sure vids have always been posted here, it's fine.
  16. This got misplaced and saved in the wrong folder, just found it again. From 0.15.2.
  17. Tbh, I wouldn't be surprised if not even the devs know the date. They don't seem to set deadlines, instead releasing updates when they seem to be ready.
  18. I never use MechJeb when I do things for the first time, as it does kind of feel like cheating. I use it for when I just want to get something done, or I don't feel like messing around with the navball during the gravity turn. Lately I've noticed I'm not really using it at all.
  19. ...oh my God. Is this where Event Horizon went!?!?
  20. You're going to have to prove that. As it stands, I'm pretty sure you're lying.
  21. He's absolutely right, jenskerman made an assertion that doesn't hold up for the linked reasons.
