No, it's a list of ship's inventory. The headings in red appear to be: Gonnes of <something>, Gonnes of Iron, Gonnpowder, Schott of Iron, Schott of Stoen and Leade I can't make out much more. The resolution is a bit lacking, aside from the archaic script and spelling.

I'm not sure how "turbomiles" leads to "Kerbal".

C, A, and C I build my ships in such a way that my pitchover is head down with S. Kill horizontal and then worry about the vertical. Edit: Actually, I could say I work both horizontal and vertical speed together. I just happen to kill horizontal velocity well before I need to worry about vertical velocity. Remap the numberpad to translation and never touch docking mode.

I think Enterprise could have been much better if they dropped the third season and the final episode. The season-long story arc of "save the Earth from the evil aliens" thing was a bit too much of a departure from what the show had been, a chronicle of humanity's first steps exploring outside our local area. The last episode was just annoying, focusing what should have been the series finale for Enterprise on characters from a different series.

To crash your rockets, see them exploding before you, and to hear the lamentations of their builders.

Life? Don't talk to me about life.

I'll have to try that one tomorrow. Not that it's in any way possibly relevant to my job...

I've been at JSC for 7.
-
Dad spent 30+ years working for NASA. Mom about half that.. They had a long time to accumulate things.
-
I've got a few things. Mission patches, etc. Some Shuttle Program commemorative medallions that contain space-flown metal. Chunks of concrete from a few buildings at JSC. A set of engineering drawings from Shuttle, including the panels from the pre-glassification of the cockpit. A few other odds and ends. At my parents' house, there's quite a bit more. Pieces of shuttle tile, things encased in plastic (including a piece of the red stripe from one of the shuttle commander's space suit), assorted bits of electronics, half of one of the nuts from an SRB hold-down bolt, an assortment of things Dad brought back from the USSR during his Apollo-Soyuz work, autographs, a few small space-flown flags, and piles of other stuff.

Most foolish thing you heard in movie or tv series ? :-)

Depends on the situation. If you've not reached the point of firing, you may say it to remind your weapons officer to double check that everything is in readiness, last minute tasks like opening whatever firing ports need opened, disengage any safeties that may still be engaged, etc. It could also be to alert other crew members to stand by to execute whatever post-firing duties they may need to carry out. Granted, in most cases it is unnecessary, but it's not pointless every time. -
I've done that, and I've enjoyed it. I think the key here is the "trading off". I guess it turns me from a passive watcher to an active participant, even if I am not playing the entire time. Like playing games with them? I know I'm an anomaly. I'm fine with it. I was just explaining why I don't watch the Squadcasts.
-
Yes, but then I don't get how people can watch sporting events, either. I just don't understand why people would have any desire to watch someone else play a game.
-
Just because I don't understand why people would do it, doesn't mean I'm saying they shouldn't. Just that the reason they do it completely baffles me. I'm sure there are plenty of things I do that baffle other people, too.

I've never been able to sit and watch someone play a video game. It bores me completely, and I have no idea why anyone would watch it. I'd much prefer a video simply showing new features, or a post with text and pictures to provide the information.

I'd be more worried about a slight misalignment leading to the laser catching an aircraft. Pretty sure it's a suburban area. Double check a few things, and... Yup. Very suburban, and a rather nice part of it as well. (In fact, it's less than a mile from my parents' house if you follow the roads.) One streetlight out is not going to hurt things. There's so much light pollution in Clear Lake that you can barely get a decent view of the stars anyway.

My choice didn't change on further information. I do everything within my power to kill the wizard. I kill on my terms, not under coercion.

That's exactly where I was going, I just couldn't remember the exact math for it.

Mathematics demands the bigger ship.

Massive psychological experiment in the KSP forums.

Yes, but that's boring. There's no ethical dilemma when there's a clear right answer. "Uh, yeah. One death is better than four." Or, as Spock says, “Logic clearly dictates that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few.†-

It is? I don't recall ever stating that, simply that you were in a position where your choice decided between one or four deaths. I mean, really? If <hypothetical group> is that blood-thirsty, then why would they go to the trouble of setting up this thought exercise for you, instead of killing <political leader> themselves? -

So perhaps "terrorist" was a bad hypothetical choice for my thought experiment. It seems to be pulling you away from the point I was trying to make. In both cases your choice directly leads to either four deaths or one death. You're fine with trading one death for four in one case, but not fine with it in another. Is it the manner of those deaths that changes the situation, or is it that you can blame another actor for the result?
