The Wrong Brothers - career mode done differently (pic heavy)
Mr_Brain replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
Great storytelling, as always! But are you sure those turbojets won't make Jeb a little too ambitious? ... Nah, Jeb doesn't even know the word "too"! -
15, have played since a few days after the release of 0.16.

The Wrong Brothers - career mode done differently (pic heavy)
Mr_Brain replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
It runs out of power because the computer systems of probes require electricity, while Kerbals seem to have an organ that can utilize zero-point energy and thereby power themselves and the capsule, but not the reaction wheels or anything else. -

Mr_Brain replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I recommend Jeb to go there himself, but put a little probe core on the detachable part so it can be deorbited remotely. -
/Solve/ this? Be glad you are like that!
-
1/10 I saw you a few seconds ago on another thread.
-
False. The user below me started playing KSP after 0.17.

The Wrong Brothers - career mode done differently (pic heavy)
Mr_Brain replied to katateochi's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
I say Advanced Exploration, new sensors are always good and with the ladders, Jeb will be able to get back into the plane easier and get SCIENCE from more places in a single flight. EDIT: I just saw that you have not yet unlocked electrics, which might be a good thing to unlock first. On the other hand, with jet engines supplying power, that might not be so important anyway in an aircraft-only scenario. -
Narrator - A Forum Game based on The Stanley Parable
Mr_Brain replied to Needles_10's topic in Forum Games!
There was /absolutely no way/ for Stanley to know that this was not the way to freedom, but the path to a violent death! And because he just doesn't like my wonderful story, he hears the door being shut behind him. You will not be able to escape this time, Stanley! You can't just ruin MY story without paying for it! -

Wonderful storytelling! You have just earned a reputation star. -
Narrator - A Forum Game based on The Stanley Parable
Mr_Brain replied to Needles_10's topic in Forum Games!
Wait, what? Stanley, what have you done!? You should be pressing a button on the facsimile machine! Do you have an idea on how much time went into writing this story? You're ruining it all! Quick, turn around and get back to the office! -
New Science Model: Tangible and Intangible
Mr_Brain replied to SkyRender's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Excellent suggestion, I hope they will add this or something similar! It has bothered me how a sensor scan result could not be transmitted without data loss. I think the analyzing results should differ based on where you perform it, for example analyzing in orbit might give you more science, but in high orbit or dusty places the radiation or dust might severely reduce the effectivity of the analyzing equipment, which would mean you would need to perform the experiments several times to make sure the instruments would have functioned correctly. Live long and prosper! -
It really depends. At the start of career mode, when I think of my Kerbals as not so experienced, I call them something like "There's no way this will work out 1" or so. Later, it really depends. For example my Minmus base modules are called "Mint Base Module Alpha/Beta/Gamma/... (Hab/Power/...)". My missions just have any names I can come up with, but they mostly describe the mission (for example "Potato Probe 1" for a probe sent to Gilly). Of course, I always add a number or so to it ("1", "I", "One", "A", "Alpha" or so), in case I want to build an updated version later.

Poll: Kerbal Space Program's Mun Landers
Mr_Brain replied to AncientAstronaut's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yes, I can. On this picture, I rescue Jeb after accidentally having landed him on the Mün (at first, I just wanted to get some science from high Kerbin orbit, but then I saw that I had enough fuel to go to the Mün, but the engine broke when I landed). -
A thougt about the little Kerbals themselves.
Mr_Brain replied to Audiopulse's topic in KSP1 Discussion
On this, I have to disagree with you, but I think that is just a personal opinion as we have no clear proof for any of those hypotheses, unless I am missing something. I do think the same way as you on the topics which you talked about in the rest of your reply, however. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. -

Mr_Brain replied to Audiopulse's topic in KSP1 Discussion
This is brilliant! I always wondered how one could call a race that has managed to unite the entire planet and that assigns unlimited funds to its space agency less intelligent than humans as many do. -
He's not scared. He's just disappointed because you broke his things and his things make him go to space. If you break his things, he can't go to space, so he's sad. Shame on you!

"The picture is blocked by a piece of debris." That's what the camera said when I pointed it at the sun during an eclipse and took a picture. I did not know that the Mün is debris.
-
He... err... It was totally planned for him to establish a permanent research base on the Mün! Alone. Without any science instruments except for a thermometer. Without landing legs or an engine. It was totally not actually the case that we just wanted to throw him into space for a few hours in a ship designed for that and only that (with just a little fuel to spare), but then found that there was a good oppurtunity for a Mün landing! We would never ever act without planning ever at all! That idea is so wrong that I don't even want to comment on it. No. He's really absolutely supposed to be stranded living on the Mün!
-
I try not to destroy it. But only so it doesn't escape and kill everyone.
-
I completed my first rendezvous with docking (all manually, of course). I know, I'm a n00b even though I've been playing for over a year now.

Pixel Latin Letters?
Mr_Brain replied to ReptilianGameplays's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
You do know that Latin doesn't have any non-English characters? I don't know how the letters you probably mean, but I'm pretty sure "Latin" is wrong (but I might be wrong). -
What about saving those craft that are loaded (last time I checked, only crafts within 2.5 killometers of the current craft are loaded and put off-rails)?
-
If it's Jeb, he'll throw away the pickaxe before the rocket's launch and use the lander as a pickaxe. We all know Jeb.
