Personally I am a firm believer that the orange suits are all siblings. So Valentina would be Jeb's sister. No there's nothing wrong with a brother loving his sister, but I don't think Jebediah would ever think his sibling would be cool, or anyone for that matter. I think his ego is too big for that. Also, Val is a pilot, I doubt she's be taken by science specifically. Still though, I really really like the art. I am just imagining it is different Kerbals instead of Jeb and Val, especially since they're in their EVA suits. The proportions are just right for Kerbals, and I like how you imagine the texture of Kerbal Hair actually flies out in the "real-ish" world. These drawings are all adorable and fun to look at. The "plot" of this one is just the only problem i have with it. Minmus Ice Cream is truly magnificent. I've always wanted to see this picture done properly, I couldn't make it look right in pencil. The first drawing, the Eve one is interesting. The mountains seem too tall for Evian Gravity, and the snow-tops of them don't seem to fit with Eve's heat. The picture of Val and one of the other orange-suits at Val is also really great. You do the facial expressions magnificently. The Kraken Attack picture as also really good. The cell shading and coloring on it was done really nicely, and you can tell it took a long time to do, it looks great. The Kraken looks like a 10-Kilometer-Wide beast enveloping the space around Bop. Again, the facial expressions look great here. On many of the drawings, I love the background stars and galaxy, and some of the surface details on Minmus or Eve and the jetpack exhaust near Vall.

Just a thought: If the people who hold the marketing stuff for Interstellar ever decide to make a real Interstellar video game, they should get Squad to make it as an add-on to Kerbal Space Program as a tie-in. It would add a wormhole to Jool that links into the Gargantua system (made to Kerbal scale obviously). Easter eggs on the planet which portray the bases. There would be parts added to be ranger and endurance and lander stuff, and new orange suit Kerbals with the names of the astronauts in the movie. Then the cool physics need to be made. First, a version of general relativity would need to be added for the time dilation stuff. Then a huge tidal wave added to Miller's Planet. For Mann's Planet, you would have to basically ditch the PQS system for another type of procedurally generated frozen porous planet thing. Another object, a Neutron Star is also orbiting Gargantua, it's actually where Edmunds' Planet is. Nothing that interesting is going on on Edmunds. Just a generic desert planet. You know what, maybe I shouldn't go into too much detail. The Devs ought to be free to do whatever...

Erm... The HypePlane is not really in service this update. The HypeTrain is at super speeds right now, so it will surely be more than enough!

I am convinced this is what it is. If it isn't this I will be mad. This is something NEEDED for a release.

I am proud. Can I have a medal for humor now?

I started playing on version 0.16 of Kerbal Space Program, after a while of playing the demo (0.13.3 at the time). I bought it just after 0.16 came out if I recall correctly. The game was so different back then. It was 0.16 when the game first started to become what it was today. The large rockets and EVAs and having both Mun and Minmus. Even more at 0.17, when it added planets. I never imagined what the game would become.

I want an IVA like camera for Command-Seat crafts, and even more the ability to add kerbals to command seats in the editor.

*Raises can of hydrazine* Yes indeed. *Raises glass (of the Mk3 shuttle cockpit)*

0.7.3, how hard can it be
Whirligig Girl replied to Hotblack Desiato's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
One of my first challenge posts was a 0.7.3 challenge! And yes, orbiting is possible, i've done it. -
How about an editor scene based on a blueprints background or something. You build it in 3D, but it kind of looks like a blueprint of some kind, then your engineers build it. I really like the idea of having to actually do things like carrying around tanks of Hydrazine, so you could do something like having to have pieces moved to the construction place, where you use the parts available to construct your craft.

What Are Things You've Heard That Made You Facepalm?

This breaks the rules of not quoting me. -
HypeTrain: The mechanical nature of it.

2-6-0 is just a classification of the wheels. I don't know how changing that would change anything particularly interesting. -
The Oscar-B Awards! (Results Are Out!!)
Whirligig Girl replied to BagelRabbit's topic in Kerbal Network
I nominate Hazard-ish for the funny category. I think there should also be a category for lets-play-ers who are noobish and funny, and also play other games, if so, I would nominate Hank Plays channel, where in Hank Green of Nerdfighteria plays various games, sometimes Kerbal Space Program. -
Yeah, nothing seems to have changed about the Kerbal Model.
-
I would have preferred black to the brown. To be honest, RoverDude's design and modding and programming and creation ability is truly amazing, but his models are a bit lacking compared to NovaSilisko, Claira Lyrae, or especially Porkjet's models.
-
It's the same Mun we've always had. That's irrelevant.
-
THe picture is very clearly the Mun with red coloration. Definitely about eclipses.
-
That's not the point of the riddle. It's not to hint at features, it is to try and find out how the riddle becomes the next number of the countdown.
-
I am disappointed in the 2D nature of this game. That was my biggest problem with artemis, that it was locked down to 2D.
-
More of a watering tower I suppose. If you can turn ice into LFO you can turn ice into water more easily.
-
It's not a bug. You're just not good at flying rockets. Try using a wider base or a shorter rocket, that might work. Also, please please PLEASE use proper grammar on the HSP forums!

It's a Gresley A3 and you'll like it!

Business as usual except with driving the HypeTrain and such!
