Here is my attempt. Brought an orange tank w. engine to orbit, then crash-landed in the ocean... http://imgur.com/a/F3RzI ...pilot survived though.

Impressive.

You Will Not Go To Space Today - Post your fails here!
Robo336 replied to Mastodon's topic in KSP1 Discussion
When I encountered Laythe, it was moving towards me. Since it's orbital velocity is about 3000 m/s, I'm moving a lot faster relative to the surface, then if i had caught it on the other side of Jool. -

There was the time I tried aerobraking on Laythe... ...while moving 9000 m/s... http://imgur.com/a/towSa#0 ...that was fun. Note to self, aerobrake at jool first, in future missions. -
Nice vehicle

Looking over the suggestions, I shall be naming it "the Dodo".
-
I just love those interiors.
-
I recently created an... interesting plane... ...and a name has been chosen: The Dodo Because all kerbal creations are prone to extinction by fireball... http://imgur.com/a/8zCIZ#12 It is stable under manual control but avionics makes it... flutter. It has sepratrons for both takeoff and landing and can therefore take off and land on short stretches when fully fueled. It also has a parachute for landing on even shorter landing sites. So try it out: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/68735837/Dat%20Jet.craft And tell me what you think. Next question: What to use it for?

Tylo Manned landing/return Mission

Very impressive. -
I have begun the process of "flagging" every body in the Kerbol star system. First Mün and Minmus: Kerbinrise Minmus Landing Heat-shield in action Touchdown
-
That's awesome!

A selection from my screenshot catalogue. Click on pictures for larger view. One of my mun landings. Return mission to Laythe. Apart from Jool, you can barely make out a moon to the right near the horizon. Small car sized Duna rover brought down with sky crane. The sky crane is super effective. And let's not forget the simple pleasures.

I just think there are so many different indie game developers out there who all deserve a bit more attention for their work. As I understand it, Talesworld is making Mount & Blade II. Starship Corporation looks nice, by the way.
-
Neo Scavenger is neat, fairly realistic post-apoc survival game. They have a free demo.
-
Also check out Gnomoria

Just thought i'd start up a thread for people to post and discuss some of the other indie games they have found. I'll start out with "Timber and Stone" I'm really exited about this game. I loved minecraft and the various mods made over the years. Timber and Stone is like a RTS version of minecaft. A voxel based Village, City and/or Kingdom simulator. Have a look at the alpha videos an tell me what you think.

It should be possible... But I would have to make a more clever design if my computer is to survive the launch... I'll look into it at some point.

Laythe-Return-II http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/22282-Laythe-Return-Mission It goes to Laythe, lands and returns to kerbin. Nuff said. -
Robocorp is proud to present the latest achivement in space exporation. The road was long and riddled with challenges and obstacles. But we finally did it. We sent a single kerbonaut to Laythe, the Kerbin-like moon of Jool, and returned him safely to Kerbin. And now pictures: With over 400 parts it makes a mean barbeque too. Main Trajectory set Fine tuning Getting there Aerobraking (good thing reentry effects aren't in jet) or we would probably burn up... Parachutes deployed Touchdown! but we just got here... (again) Circularizing (is that spelled right?) Jool has a wicked gravity well Main trajectory set Fine tuning complete purrrfect Aerobraking Dumping engine Deploying parachutes Splashdown (I'll raise a statue in Siglorfs honer later) All stock parts. If you have any questions about flying the thing or anything else, feel free to ask. But most importantly, as always, enjoy.

Return-IV. Interplanetary lander. It can get to Duna and back. http://kerbalspaceprogram.com/forum/showthread.php/22010-RoboCorp-Presents-Return-IV I haven't tested it on other planets, but it could probably land mostly everywhere. -
After much research & development (also known as trial and error) RoboCorp has developed a ship capable of landing on Duna and returning the crew safely to kerbin. And now, the journey in pictures: At this stage, it is possible to set the trajectory for aerobraking useing very little fuel Hello. Don't worry about the stranded landers. We'll come back for them... someday... maybe... not... Main trajectory set. Fine tuning complete. Aerobraking. We're Moving too fast! Activate all engines! Engine discarded. Parachute deployed. Welcome home. All stock parts. Enjoy.

It looks cool. Does it actually fly? -
Mass Relayer Challenge [IMPOSSIBLARG]
Robo336 replied to Bob's Guardian Angel's topic in KSP1 Challenges & Mission ideas
That could work, if we assume the craft isn't cut in half.
