  1. Yeah, it comes with an interior. Still need to model that and the radially-mounted engines though. Seats 6 kerbs, but there's a lot of room so I might bump it up to 8 or 10.

  4. It's been rumored to be "Mars Colonial Transport" for some time, and it's nothing even concrete yet - still just a name as far as we know.
  5. Uh, no. Grasshopper isn't coming anywhere NEAR orbit. Max altitude that I remember reading was something like 300,000 feet then coming back in for a landing, but it's just a test for the landing system. On the first F9R launch in July, they'll be equipping the first stage with landing structures and flipping it round after stage sep, doing a retroburn and then a second burn just before it hits the water. Every F9 flight from now on will serve as a test flight for the return system, up until they can actually fly it back and land at the launch site.
  6. I saw that. I love how casually he revealed it. Can't wait to see what it is. Certainly not a dragon variant, I believe they've said they won't be sending people to mars on a dragon (nothing about preventing others from doing it though), so it's likely a new vehicle and heavy lift rocket combo.
  7. The docking won't take place for over a week I think. It's going to slowly phase its orbit up to match that of the ISS.

  9. Might be part of the weird mass calculations mentioned earlier but I'm getting a bunch of complaints in the console about something being set to negative mass... Seems to have happened when I undocked a canister during flight and the entire ship exploded. Edit: No, that just happened again with no negative mass errors. It seems the instant velocity shift while the canister is still in the payload area messes it up.

  11. Technically, Kerbin is "Earth", in a way. It's located in a completely different universe with slightly different physical laws, but it's the equivalent of the same location in our own universe.
  12. If you're willing to not use any manually-created heightmaps, I think it could be done... it's just a matter of actually figuring out how to access all the required things that go into making a new planet, via a plugin.
  13. Maybe check and see if the mass adds up properly from the listed values in the VAB? The stock parts might be suffering from the same issue as mine...

  15. I'm running into an issue. It seems like my ship weighs far far more than the parts would suggest. Now, 65 bombs per container, 0.3 mass per bomb = 19.5 mass. 6 bomb containers = 117 mass. 6 docking ports for the containers = 3.9 mass. The cabin, 23.6 mass, and the pusher plate 25. 117 + 3.9 + 23.6 + 25 = 169.5 tons. Except, it weighs a LOT more than that... So, something weird is going on... Edit: Forgot bomb canister dry mass, but that only comes out to 4.8 tons so not enough to cause this.

I think they'd be a sort of... really really inefficient bureaucratic hairball of a democracy, which funnels 90% of the planet's GDP into the space program (though they're still not too good at the whole space thing) Also, their civilization hasn't really figured out the whole agriculture thing, so they mostly live off of eating leaves and grass and tree bark. The sad thing is though, it took the placement of five monoliths to get them to this point.

  20. Yes. Note that the flag is stretched to a square, so the UV just has to cover the mesh completely as if you were texturing it with a regular square texture.
  21. I recalled a lessed known feature of .20... Using the FlagDecal module, you can put your current mission flag onto a part. MODULE { name = FlagDecal textureQuadName = flags }
  22. RE: .20 issues, I formatted my parts with the new system and it works fine...
  23. Seems my docking ports were the issue, so false alarm!
  24. Is it possible yet to jettison empty bomb containers? It doesn't seem to work on my design, though it could be a problem with the docking nodes themselves.
