  1. It'd be fun if, depending on where you put your space center in the world, Kerbals had different names. Kermanski for the "Russia", Kermenshi or something for "Japan", et cetera. Lots of fun could be had with the name gen.
  2. Probably not, I think that's when I'll be getting masses of new music-related stuff so probably a bit after that. Or possibly before, who knows. In the meantime, there are a lot of little hints to figure out. And images in the video that few seem to have noticed!
  3. All shall be revealed eventually, I'm just having some fun with it right now
  4. Don't remember making another thread about this, I did upload that video a while ago and made some twitter post with the same greek text though.
  5. Kings & Cultivars? Nah. That will be resumed after .21. This is separate from ksp, its own universe. Or two.
  6. Multiply the transfer rate by both Time.deltaTime and a second value which increases the longer you hold down the button, so it will start at 1/sec and then increase in speed.
  7. A little something which has been being constructed for a while now. And me being cryptic because I enjoy it and can
  8. Court-stuff-viewer-site.net case file 0402: October 9, 1999 - United States v. Doctor Tony Pistachio Case description and details are restricted Evidence is as follows: Exhibit A: Corrupted training video Exhibit B: Leaked memo Exhibit C: Tape recovered from home of Tony Pistachio under floorboard [a large section of blank tape follows] [end of tape 1] [end of tape two] As this case is currently ongoing, not all information and/or evidence is available. Court-stuff-viewer-site.net will bring up new info as quickly as possible. Well, cryptic things don't seem to be having the intended effect. Let's try a different approach, have some early development fotos
  9. http://www.valvetime.net/threads/updated-half-life-3-left-4-dead-3-source-2-much-more-found-on-valve-project-tracker.243580/
  10. Suffocation and hypothermia. Not exactly pleasant. Breathing in an inert gas like nitrogen doesn't really cause your body any alarm at first, until you start to pass out from oxygen starvation in the brain. edit: it seems I've just paraphrased what brotoro said, oh well.
  11. What gives you the idea that they didn't want it? LIke Ivan said, it doesn't really detract from anything, you just need some artwork to stick on them and valve does the rest. Edit: Also, note this quote from dan on the last weekly I'm assuming that relates to the cards, so it was planned for a while from these external observations.
  12. I am not sure of the behind-the-scenes process myself. I'll have to ask. Who knows, maybe I can get some cards for my own game someday
  13. No atmosphere on the Moon to slow you down. On mars all you need is a good trajectory, an aeroshell, a parachute, and a little bit of fuel to do the final descent. I think the difference between trans-lunar injection and trans-mars injection is quite small due to the oberth effect. Once you're on course for mars you're set, but with the moon you have to land on rockets alone, unless you devise some sort of rough-landing canister that can withstand impact velocities of several km/s and still have its cargo in a recognizable form.
  14. Achievements if added certainly wouldn't be "do X 100 times". That's just dumb. They would be more actual, you know, achievements. "Get into space" "Get into orbit" "Land on the mun" etc.
  15. Playing the game after the trading cards released will periodically net you a new card. You don't get grandfathered in based on past playing time. You can only gain half of them through drops, the rest you can trade for (hence the name). Then you can make your fancy badge and get cool stuff.
  16. Yep. And I think that really forms their modus operandi, militarily - jump in unexpectedly in as many locations as possible, cause as much havoc as possible in as little time, generally overwhelm and destroy the opposition before it has a chance to react. The attack on Pearl Harbor comes to mind, except in this case the entire planet was the harbor, and there was no big angry country behind it to retaliate.
  17. It's a new building, and it changes the way kerbals are handled for flights (you can choose who goes in what module, test-fly things with only one kerbal). No training yet, but there's a big list of possible recruits, showing their personality stats (so we can recruit an army of Jebs)
  18. Explore martian caves and canyons. Caves are one of the cooler environments, since they're pretty protected from radiation. You could potentially seal one off and use it to build a habitat, even.
  19. Man, ya'll took this waaayyy too seriously
  20. Heavy stuff in geosync orbit is big business too. That's the prime business driver behind FH, I believe. That, as well as launching lots of smaller satellites from one vehicle (Ariane 5 routinely launches 4+), enabling everyone to split the cost. Multiple-engines does have a lot of error but they're designing their systems to be tolerant of errors (this was demonstrated on the CRS-1 flight when the center engine failed and possibly disintegrated). The Merlin engines are also designed to be simple, which reduces the per-engine failure risk. It's a tradeoff, though. Three big engines with good reliability would work as well, but if you lose just one, you lose the vehicle.
  21. I believe the current estimate is that the first stage, not counting the fuel, makes up 70% of the total vehicle cost. If you can recover that first stage and use it immediately, that's 70% of the cost of a new vehicle you don't have to spend.
  22. Uses the new ASAS, seems parts automatically recieve the new modules. Flags probably won't work if they're on terrain that's changed.
  23. Rise of the Triad, Take On Mars. Both coming out this month, too.
  24. Just tested it with a craft from .19, and it works fine, even with all the differences in part modules. Should be good.
