  1. one cannot cheat in a single player game. if one does change the rules, however, one cannot boast about one's achievements. so, in conclusion, do whatever you want, but if you do decide to use infinite fuel, dont go boasting on the forums about how awesome you are because you made it to Duna
  2. all but a cleverly disguised request for a release date, my friend
  3. i watched one of kurtjmacs videos of him sucking, so i played the demo, and then found an updated version on an *AHEM* certain website for download (hey, i want to know what im getting into before i spend money, ok?) and then bought it shortly afterwards now that i knew just how awesome it was.
  4. why does everyone seem to assume that SSTO = spaceplane? a vertical launching rocket can be a SSTO, ive built a few myself.
  5. i think the steam trailer needs more gameplay and less cinematics... something that shows off the parts and the mod capability and perhaps a quick look at the planets.
  6. i delete debris around the space center because of lag (my computer isnt very beefy to be wasting parts) but i dont delete orbital debris because its almost always outside the 2.6 km range for physics, and now with 0.20 you dont see it in map view without the tab enabled
  7. most of the time i use the massively clever name of "default"
  8. in b4 massive flame for asking for release date
  9. by the logic, why the hell spend the equivalence of 7000$ for a computer than can run ksp (and probably not many higher end games)?
  10. the devs need and deserve all the money they can get, im more than happy to pay full price for such a wonderful game
  11. step 1: launch going north, or the red line on the navball. step 2: achieve a relatively circular and stable orbit step 3: set the Mün as target, and adjust inclination at the descending/ascending nodes until it reads 90° this is possible because the Mün has exactly 0° inclination, and is therefore can be used to mark the exact equator.
  12. i think its very simple. the kerbin-mun system resembles the earth-moon system because its what we home in the kerbal universe. also, they were to first and second bodies added to the game (other than Kerbol), so it makes sense that it would look alot like earth-moon. mars is a very favored planet, especially since the curiosity landing was close to the 1.7 update (little over a month afterwards, so the hype was still close to its peak).
  13. doublepost (why the hell is there no delete function? or am i just incompetent..)
  14. about to make a video (with my voice in it for the first time) showing off a probe ship i build with multiple rovers that can be sent down from a planet in orbit. but im waiting for people to stop watching TV in the same room and generally making noise so i can actually do it :/
  15. im sure this has been asked before, but how long does it take to make one of these average? also, bookmarked
  16. thing about graphics and ksp is, if you have a crappy gpu, you will get somewhat bad performance, but that wont get worse with the bigger crafts you build until it overloads your CPU as well. so if you had a super uber high end intel i7 overclocked, and a below average integrated GPU, you would get similar performance with a 10 part ship and a 1000 part ship. so CPU is more important
  17. Craft design inspiration mostly. docking also.
  18. Duna > Jool > Moho > Eve after the updates, Eeloo > Dres plus all the moons, except for the joolian moons (minus laythe). ive orbited/flown by pol, bob, tylo, and vall, but never landed on them.
  19. Late this afternoon, Kerbal Space Program ex-employee, Lodomon Kerman, was convicted of unauthorized mid-flight ship disassembly, previously attributed to anomalies in the apparent laws of physics of the Kerbal Universe. ".otse ojudart detsu", Lodomon said,"atoidi euq ajajajaj" thanks to the hard work of local police force, future missions will have more positive outcomes.
