you could check the recycle bin... luckily i didnt immediately empty it like i usually do when deleting something
-
also, you may have not read the entire post: completely fresh install. didnt even copy over my saves yet from previous build.

with the new performance bug, im getting about 15 fps, even with very minimal ships and absolute minimum graphics (no mods either). this never happened before. most of the new parts (and more) can be accessed through the KSPX stock parts expansion, with the exception of chairs (which can be, as far as i can tell, exactly replicated with ladders) and the new car wheels (which are a pain to build with anyway with the bugs in the SPH symmetry). the flags are cool, but not worth the lag. not to mention the many other bugs anyway, until the performance issues are resolved, ill stick happily with 0.19

i dont remember.

lol 2.0, its 0.20. the real 2.0 is a LONNGGG way away if ever

Is there a way to purge all mods?
spikeyhat09 replied to OneRedBlock's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
copy your save file, and screenshot file to a backup folder outside the directory, then send the entire KSP_win directory to the recycle bin. redownload, re-extract, and put your files back in -
im probably just going to draw my flag IRL, and scan it to my computer to turn into a flag

so, somehow i managed to get the map view planet textures stuck in lower quality. they look like sh*t. ive tried lots of things, ive deleted my config file, ive messed around with all the settings, nothing works. ive also tried fiddling with the resolution. as you can see, the background sky is also screwed up. is anyone else experiencing this? is my ksp build corrupted or something? edit: after posting this i realize it belongs in teh support thread :/ of some1 could move it it would be much appreciated
-
they DO have cruise control. hold ALT + whatever button you have set to foward until the desired acceleration is achieved edit: and if they break its because of poor design. reinforce them with struts and stuff. if they pop its because theres too much weight and not enough wheels.

Do you miss the Space Shuttle Program
spikeyhat09 replied to Commander MK's topic in KSP1 Discussion
no way. not in the least. it was misguided and a huge waste of money, and most of all dangerous. let me explain (assuming someone else hasnt already) it had that giant cargo bay, yet could carry people. what was its purpose? to deliver probes, etc.? it could fly autonomously, so why carry that huge extra weight (and therefore payload limiting) life support systems? was its purpose to ferry people around in space? in that case what is that giant honkin playload bay doing there? the idea behind the reusable shuttle was to save money of course. but in order for a landed shuttle to be renovated in order to be spaceworthy again, the cost is about the same of a conventional rocket, which would be a lot safer (as we unfortunately saw with the columbia and challenger disaster). and that is why i will not be missing the shuttle. -
What percent throttle do you use on take off?
spikeyhat09 replied to skendzie's topic in KSP1 Discussion
i go full throttle (or as much as possible without overheating or causing structural damage) until 150 m/s, then i follow the terminal velocity curve up to 9 kilometers, then i do my gravity turn from 9 kilometers through 11 kilometers (45 degrees at first, and then slowly tilt further, going completely horizontal by 65 kilometers), then full throttle again -
just wondering if we will get ksp weekly updates for the tuesdays during which the servers where sh*tting themselves... also the entire articles section is gone.

Raise Your Hand if You Play KSP on a Below-Spec Computer!
spikeyhat09 replied to bigyihsuan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
i run it in between the minimum and recommended specs (at least what the website says, idk bout steam) and it runs fairly well. i dont ramp up the graphics settings (since tbh i could care less about the eye candy). the great thing about ksp is that its still very playable even at low framerates. -
could it be... the magic boulder?!

So, I'm testing my VTOL plane, and it crashes. you know how when you crash a plane into the ocean, the wings sort of glide away for a bit? well, one of the control surfaces did that, but it was on steroids: Please note that no mods were used. *EDIT: For some reason it decided to upload them in extremely low resolution. in the top picture, the control surface is traveling at over 2000 m/s. also, my plane was traveling no faster than 150 m/s on impact, so something freaky is going on.

and how does only being able to reach half the planets make me new? "new" people haven't even reached the Mun

What is most important for you when making ships
spikeyhat09 replied to AmpsterMan's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Make it big with as many SRB's as functionally possible. -
Landed on the Mun! Realized I had enough fuel to at least orbit Minmus again Aaaand got another Mun intercept on the way home Hurtling through the atmosphere Success!

First off, i apologize for posting about a mission, since most of you have probably already done this, but for some reason for me, this has been more challenging then landing on other planets. Finally, I have landed on both the Mun and Minmus in one mission! Rocket standing by launch tower, pre-launch Retroburning in proximity of Minmus landing sight Landed on Minmus! Headed for the Mun In Munar Orbit Gah! can only upload 5 files...

I can get to the planets in the Kerbol system that are further out from kerbin (Duna and Jool), however, I seem unable to reach Eve (let alone moho). even when i follow the interactive guide thingy (http://ksp.olex.biz/) and use mods to determine the angles, my apoapsis (after i do my ejection burn) keeps going up to Duna rather than my periapsis going down to eves orbit. And I still don't know whats the most efficient time to perform an inclination change (when in parking orbit around kerbin, or in orbit around Kerbol?). also, do you go into a 90 degree orbit or 270? (both screw my up...) Can anyone help? (PS: I have a rocket with plenty enough fuel, my only problem is a faulty guide)

but you see, that would result in billions of Keuros being wasted, as the rest of the ship would explodify. since there seems to be an inexhaustible supply of re-spawning kerbonauts.
