  1. Wasn't Von Braun thinking about something like this but with liquid fuel rockets instead?
  2. We didn't have no fancy 909s back in the days and yet we were raiding the Mun all the time like it was the only thing to do. ...probably because it was the only thing to do.
  3. I do. Could be tweaked a bit, but it's pretty neat anyway.
  4. Orbital refinery seems to make the most sense to me since we don't have pipes to attach vessels on the surface. It's also easier to rendezvous with. You don't have to aim for the landing spot. If that's not enough the dV needed to match orbits is probably less than landing+taking off. It's handy if you have a vessel that cannot land. The convertion rate also helps. All you need is a cargo transporter from the planet surface and back.
  5. Electric propellers is all I want. E: didnt say a thing about mk3 cargo ramps and hoses because I hope Squad realizes it's a thing that needs to happen in the next update
  6. Has this been suggested already? I hope not, but if so then feel free to post a link and I'll bump it. How I see it: You have a slider or a button to empty all the tanks in the VAB/SPH. It would be possible to choose what type of fuels we want to empty. That way we couls check CoM before and after the tanks get dry. Also tweakable fuels for different tanks!
  7. The alerts aren't that bad. I find them actually helpful from time to time. And if there's something wrong with my vessel, but I know it's intended then I just ignore them. I tend to have horrible memory.
  8. And that is why I F5 a lot. I once had a station in orbit I decided to dock with. Started burn way too late, smashed through the station and accidentaly F5'd. And that was a sad day.
  9. Roll cages! Why didn't I think of tha? That is truly brilliant! Would take care of fragile modules in case of hard landings or some other failure. Just imagine putting Hitchhikers and Labs in those! And could be toggleable. Genius! Hopefully that's what you mean. Pipes would be great too.
  10. Don't think so. At least not with his YT name because that would make his mailbox flooded with questions and submissions.
  11. I'm not a military person, but Macey's series is very enjoyable. Hopefully he does narrative like it used to be. Maybe we will even see some more collaboration with Suestra? And in multiplayer? Who knows
  12. It's a reference when Kerbal clones was a thing and Macey had like three or more of them in his in-flight vessels.
  13. No, and I hope it won't become like Minecraft. That game was completely ruined by adding enchanting system. After that people forgot you could build nice things and went mad grinding to beat other people's asses and call them noobs. It's like if BDArmory became stock in KSP while multiplayer is a thing. If that happened people would go nuts, forget about the exploring part of the game and started killing each other instead. Nothing against BD Armory. Great mod, but hope it will never be stock.
  14. You go either Claw or accurate placed docking ports. Or we can take hostage and force Squad to add actual KAS-like hose.
  15. Awesome stuff! Could use some stock-ish textures. Too bad I don't have my tablet anymore, because I would've helped you with that. How about a probe-sized radially mounted one?
  16. Not really aesthetic, but could be useful for some. You can actually set airbrakes as yaw control surfaces on your flying wing designs.
  17. Some of my raw 1.0.x designs. Some early career save designs and some tests from sandbox.
  18. I like it because it's end actually points at things when in windowed mode, which was not the case in previous versions with stock Windows cursor. I always had to guess where it was pointing. Also it's pretty and turns green when clicking!
  19. I vote for tech tree splitting in two: half is atmospheric aircraft only and the other half is rockets. It's not that much of a time difference when the airplanes were flying and liquid fuel rockets were being used at the same time. In Kerbal universe both technologies could start in the same era. Neil touched the silver soil only (about) 60 years after the first powered flight performed by Wrights, right? Also props. Not really a fan of combustion engines. I can easily imagine a world where batteries are being much more common than petrol. Just imagine world full of people thinking the way Nikola Tesla did. EDIT: Yep, just checked it: Wright brothers - 1903 Goddard's liquid rocket - 1926 So that makes it 23 years apart and even less than 60 years (obviously). E2: Not mentioning solid rockets, because it's something that has been used since like ancient China.
  20. Some sort of lines that could be attached to stuff would be neat.
  21. It could also simulate the gravity of chosen planet. Just so we could test how much friction the rover would have at different speeds.
  22. I agree it should be as easy to implement as possible, but I would also like a KAS-like pipe. Some more things to do when on EVA.
