  1. Managed to replicate it and deduce what would cause it and what wouldn't: 1. It needs to unmanned. If theres a manned capsule on top, it'll work fine. 2. First I emptied the fuel tank 3. Then I clicked the Find Refit Module button 4. Then got a Kerbal from a nearby ship to man the refit module 5.   2. Tried it out. It looks great, but as expected there are still a few bugs, etc.: 1. Did you know the .dll is not in the Plugins folder? Not sure if that's necessary, but because I at first thought I thought it didn't work I moved it to the Plugins folder. Turns out the problem was caused by something else. It does work if it's put in the Plugins folder. 2. The problem I encountered was that I launched an unmanned version. Once in space I opened the windows and then clicked on 'find the refit module' or whatever the other buttons called. When I got my manned craft to the wet workshop and put a Kerbil in the refit module, it wouldn't let me refit it. No button. When I launched another workshop I put a Kerbal in before I clicked 'find the refit module'. This time it worked as it should. 3. I had leftover equipment after completing the tank conversion. Made it a bit unclear whether or not I was done yet.

  4. http://astronautix.com/craft/flem.htm In short: instead of having the return vehicle brake into orbit together with the lander that lands on Mars, the Flyby-Landing Excursion Module plan envisioned the lander separating from the return vehicle 60 days before the landing, while still in a Solar orbit. The lander (using a nuclear thermal engine) would insert itself into a Mars orbit, land, spend a few days on the surface and then leave the planet again and insert itself into a Solar orbit where it would meet up with the return vehicle. I'd love to try that out in KSP, but it seems like you'd need perfect timing. Is there somewhere more knowledgeable in these things that could tell me how to do this in KSP?

  6. I have a few suggestions mass-wise: Aisle: 5 to 4.9. It doesn't have the airlock of the Foyer so it should be a bit lighter. Lobby: 5 to 6. A spaceproof window is very heavy. Just look at the 2 man Landercan compared to the Cupola. Peekaboo: 0.5 to 2. A massive window, about twice the size of the Lobby window should weigh more than half a ton. Buzzkill: 1.25 to 1. One stock 1.25m wide battery weighs 0.05. Four would fit into a 2.5m wide one. The Buzzkill is the size of four of those 2.5 wide ones stacked together. Thus 0.05 x 4 = 0.2 and 0.2 x 4 = 1.
  7. Its higher Isp makes it useful as a second stage engine for normal looking rockets (àla the RL Saturn V). Use the Mainsail to get to about 10km. Use the Skippers better Isp to move the rest of the rocket to an orbital insertion and/or circularizing and use the Poodle for stuff in outer space.
  8. The scifiest ship created with this pack so Normally I create reasonably normal stations with this pack, but the new Lean modules made this Interplanetary Passenger Liner impossible not to make.

  11. Just downloaded this pack and I love it. KSP vanilla has far too few station parts and these are a welcome addition. Would appreciate some 1.25m parts like corridors. That would make this even better.

The civilization would have to be extremely advanced to build it in the first place, light years ahead of the Federation. Too bad the episode dealt mostly with Scotty instead of with the Sphere itself.

  15. The update feels like it's going to be a bit light on bringing new gameplay possibilities to the game. Most of the stuff is just cosmetic or invisible groundwork for career mode. Nothing that's going to pull me in for a couple of extra hours. Hopefully they'll get to resources in 0.22 and basic career mode for 0.23.
  16. It's all a bit confusing, but how would I go about changing something in a stock part. I got it to work by overriding the original file (or use JSGME), but I haven't been able to put it into another folder. The change only works if I keep the changed part.cfg in Squad.
