  1. Hate to be pedantic shaw, to my knowledge and experience the mod seems to be perfectly functional in 1.0.4 - would it be possible to have the thread title tag updated to 1.0.4? If I'm the only who has it working, then of course, ignore me.
  2. I think if the current releases we're seeing, that is 1.0 through to 1.04 had been released as beta versions (0.91 etc. or what have you), then most of the sharpened pitchforks would have been left in the shed. Even if it disgruntles you, if you bought the game in beta, or in alpha even more so, you kind of had to accept the fact that it was early access, and you should have read the label, your saves might break and other unfortunate things may happen. Most of the people (myself included) who have an issue with the current state of affairs is that you can't really get away with changing the definition of release-worthy software to include that kind of game experience fluctuation. Let's say hypothetically that 1.04 is the end of our "post-release update turmoil" and that 1.05 is great and stable (I hope so!). If SQUAD had not jumped the gun and had instead stayed in beta, so that 1.04 in this scenario was, say, 0.99, then I believe the community would be largely pacified. We're your customers and a great deal of us forum-goers have been kicking around for at least a couple of versions, so essentially, if they had stayed in beta, they could have used us as an extension of the testing team to weed out all those bugs to bring up to the level of release-quality. At the moment I think SQUAD have got themselves in a vicious circle because as good as the testing team is, it isn't big enough to pick up on everything, so each time SQUAD do a patch it's not tested enough, and because they have decided to release (prematurely, IMO), it gets whacked in the teeth with the "This is a released game why isn't it top-notch" hammer, which to be fair, is perfectly expected. Really, I wouldn't even be bothered if hypothetical version 0.99 went straight to release with no changes, that just means the job is done! Bottom line, people are getting annnoyed because the game has major bugs that exist on the core level of the game. After a 1.0 release, all the games core mechanics should be well-realised and stable, so future bugs are few and far between and only come from relatively trivial errors. My two pennies.
  3. Looking exceptional hooj, definitely a great thought to vary their properties to create a niche and expand upon the stock selection. I look forward to the update!
  4. First off, great work on the release of KIS guys! I've posted here however as my query's more relevant: I've noticed that the models and textures are VERY stockalike in KIS, which in my opinion is fantastic. Can we ever hope for a polish over of the KAS parts, so that when the two mods are used together, as I expect they will be intended to, they look in check both between themselves and stock? Awesome job, regardless.
  5. Would be great if Astronomer himself could try and do a spin on these clouds *dreams* But back on topic, progress looks fab, can't wait
  6. Kudos for the work here, fantastic looking mod so far. I can't describe it, but stock planets seem to have a certain flavour and you've matched it better than any other planet mod I've seen. Would agree with other commenters going back - moons that are unique but not completely crazy are the way to go, as you've mentioned, twists of moons in our outer solar system or moons we know of would be great, honestly looking forward to seeing the product of this.
  7. Repped for what is possibly the single best sentence ever written. On topic, the plane parts look FANTASTIC.
  8. Sweet interior man!! What version have you got Alternis working in there?? I was looking back at it recently. You gone back to 0.23 or have you got it to cooperate with 0.25??
  9. Don't feel obligated to rush! Good to hear you're still knocking around though and up for updating it, really do love these MFD's, can't wait to get them working again 0.25
  10. Fantastic revamp, Venn. I'd love to see SQUAD pick this up actually, I think it's a much smoother art style and goes quite nicely with the style of the KSC buildings, and I like that consistency. You've also done a great job on spotting redundancies and niches, brilliant job. I do however agree with the boattails mentioned earlier though, just so we don't have a flat area by our engines. Many thanks man, appreciate your work
  11. I think what we've already seen presented is fantastic, biomes everywhere, and the fineprint integration and contracts boost is fab. I'd love a new planet that's just something different though. A planet with a ludicrously high rotation speed like Inaccessible from Planet Factory would be something great, but I'm not fussed really, just something really exotic and unique that we've yet to see. It would be an awesome Christmas present.
  12. Hey RoverDude, any news on the Advanced Mining Technologies front? Would love to see what you've been cooking up.
  13. Hey Rubber Ducky, good to have you back! Now that you've returned, I do have a small enquiry I've wanted to ask: is there a way to modify the height at which the telescope functions? I know that at the moment it requires a high orbit, but is there a way for me to modify it so I can essentially make a ground based observatory? Is there any way to currently modify the mod to do this?
  14. Looking awesome guys! Remember to include pointers as to it's location if you can!
  15. Hi guys! For a while I've noticed in the pictures thread beautiful landscape pictures get posted of nearly all the celestials in the Kerbolar System. Yeah, a picture is good, but why not take it a step further? The idea behind this thread is to share everyone's beautiful locations that they have found in the game, and so that other players can easily find these destinations and use them for mission landings, bases (yes, I admit, a good base location was my ulterior motive), and what-have-you, I propose some guidelines for posting here: 1. Give us a picture! Quite obviously, we need to see that the place you like is gorgeous. 2. If possible, give us co-ordinates. This gives us a dead-on location of where to look. Now, I understand that a lot of people will dig through their aeons-old screenshots folder and find the location they are thinking of, and I understand, so even a map view screenshot will help. And well, if not that, try and remember! 3. If your location contains, or is near to an anomaly, PLEASE, use spoiler tags and clearly denote them, we don't want to be spoiling the experience for anyone. Even saying stuff like "Btw, there's a Mun arch x km north from this place" should really be put in spoiler tags. I just think this process would be good etiquette. REMEMBER, THIS IS FOR ANY CELESTIAL BODY ANYWHERE! Be it on Moho or Dres, any place you think is stunning, please post. PLANET FACTORY OR PLANET ADD-ON USERS, feel free to post here as well, just obviously ensure that you make clear what planet/moon and from what pack you are using! And with that, I'm ready to sit back and let hopeful awesome base locations roll in! Thanks very much guys.
  16. I had an amazing stroke of genius* *pending peer approval
  17. I know it's a bit tongue in cheek asking this before the internals even done, are you planning RasterPropMonitor support?
  18. +1, that's a fab idea. BahamutoD, looking forward to seeing the landers, you're one of the most capable modders I've seen.
  19. Precisely the same, I think it's a bit weird if on Day 1 of the space program I send a flotilla to Jool. I've been doing supersonic flight at the moment and got a nice polar base infrastructure going on Kerbin, really enjoying it since this is the first time I've been successful (after countless tries) at planes.
  20. Had no inspiration to go to space, so I did what any logical person does... built a crane. Jeb is happy.
  21. Fantastic looking drills. I know you've already downsized one and re-textured it to make a smaller surface sample drill, but have you thought about doing the same process again for even smaller probes? Whilst the one you've produced is sterling, it only really looks right on 1m and up ships, and is too large and cumbersome for smaller probes. I know you mentioned that one day you wanted to get around to doing a full redo of the model and texture specifically for a surface sample drill, but an even smaller one would be awesome, if you could do it. Great work
  22. Any word on the progress of the robotic arm?? Looked real good in the video!!
