I'm not a big fan of planet packs. The game crashes enough without them It's not that the framerate really dropped or something. It just felt a bit sluggish. Maybe it was me. Since Jeb is home now, I think I will take him to every body in the solar system. - - - Updated - - - Meh...

No, not on the game, silly you. Like IRL, the Kerbal Space Agency has budgetary problems, every now and again. With over 50(!) active flights, the strain was unbearable. So, it was decided to abandon ALL current activities. Probes where deorbited, stations and bases where abandoned and shut down. No, seriously, I finished the tech tree. Built an enormous monument on Minmus to celebrate. Then I lost inspiration for what to do next. Also, I noticed the game began to feel a bit sluggish. With not too many mods installed, I concluded my PC had trouble with keeping track of all those active flights. It took me 4 weeks (in real life) and another 2.000.000 credits to accomplish this. But all kerbonauts are back home for the first time in 46 years. I have a feeling the sluggishness described earlier has gone too.

Launch7 went as planned. It had 5 structural elements aboard. After mounting the first 2, I noticed the tower was swinging a little bit, so I didn't dare to build higher. Light module in top, reaching a total of 168m in height. 168 x 7 = 1176pts

Everybody's building lighthouses ?!! Made a little progress. 6 Launches. Forgot to measure height. A little over 100m. The 7th (and final) launch bugged. When finally arriving on Minmus, I noticed I forgot a few essential batteries. Tomorrow Launch 7 Revisited.

I'll leave this here... Bugged launch (for my Minmus Lighthouse Challenge). I used a few small cones from this mod for aesthetic reasons. They seem to have other magical properties as well. Launch went fine after removal of the cones... BTW, I launched this a dozen times. Never ever resulted in blowing up the launchpad AND the runway Only when I was recording -

Ah, Minmus. That dessert mint coloured speck of dust in the night sky. If only you where as bright as Mün... - Me. I propose a challenge. Minmus is conveniently situated on the edge of Kerbin's SOI. It has low enough gravity to move heavy stuff around by RCS trusters. Build the tallest construction on Minmus you (or your PC) can handle. The rules are simple: Place your tower on Lesser Flats on Minmus. Ground = 0m Place a light in the top of your lighthouse No cheats No Hyperedit (see rule 3) Use any other mod you like . I don't care, as long as it has a foothold in our current knowledge of physics. There are 4 categories: BoyScoutExtravaganza: ​ Construct your lighthouse parts on Kerbin and fly them to Minmus and assemble your tower there. Score: height (m) x n° launches WernersGotNothingOnMe: Construct your entire lighthouse in orbit around Kerbin and land the whole contraption safely on Minmus. Score: height (m) x n° launches x 2 RealKerbalsBuildOnSite: Build an ExtraPlanetaryLaunchpad infrastructure to accomodate an on site build. Score: height (m) x n° launches (from Kerbin) ShowEmWhosBoss: Build your entire lighthouse on the surface of Kerbin and fly it as a whole to Minmus. Land safely. Score: height (m) x 5 DivineIntervention Your construction exceeds the length of the rendering distance. Congratulations, you win the Internetz. Have a cookie. Well, this would be superduper usefull if it where an in game warning system. "Fatal error approaching! You have 5-4-3-2-1 seconds to press F5 or risk losing all progress since last save (2.1 hours ago)" -
But what do you do beyond that? Wait for the next update? Go crazy on mods? Challenges? - - - Updated - - - Well, that's basically the "building crazy stuff for fun" part I was referring to

The first few (or in my case, a lot) contracts in career mode, are really necessary to accumulate science and cash to unlock the tech tree. At what point do you consider yourself 'done'? And do you start building and flying crazy missions of your own liking and don't bother any more about the contracts? For me it's after I unlock the last heavy lifting node, the techtree is done. I take contracts until I have around 3M cash.

Eve! I meant Eve - - - Updated - - - Well. it's a challenge. But probably not a very profitable one... -
So, there I was. Accepting a contract to build an outpost around Eve. Only to find some overlooked text (when I was already in the VAB) about the outpost needing be build 'into' a newly discovered E-class asteroid Whut?!?!? Are you serious?!?!? I cannot discover asteroids around Eve! How should I ever manage to fly an Armageddon type of behemoth rock from Kerbin to earth?

With 1 gazzillion biomes available in the game, I want to make a case (again) for a plugin that can plot a ballistic trajectory. I like flying with Mechjeb, but it lacks that function (or I have not found it). I imagine having a base with EPL on a planet or moon and launching little probes to the various biomes and/or anomalies. WIN!
