  1. Meet the Su-33, the Russian naval counterpart. A navalized F-15 would turn out fugly, or how the Boeing stealth fighter turned out.
  2. Nice! I like the F-15, and I also made stock missiles for my own replica. Of course, stock.
  3. I'm going to need to recreate that AGM-65 in order to counter my new vehicles. The M177 is a tough b%$tard. I guess solid boosts in terminal strikes are required to counter the new armored weapons. Time to create a new loading and firing mechanism for the artillery cannon.
  4. I think I'll just give it to five random people. Or maybe more than five, but the more the merrier! Secret Santa for all us Munchkins! (which is what one of my old teachers used to say. )
  5. Those intakes seem similar to my Su-30 intakes. Nice.
  6. 'Murica!' 'Brings out old project' Also, A CHRISTMAS GIFT FOR EVERYONE! I haven't opened this warship for a few versions, so it's up to you guys to modernize it. I present the infamously hard to destroy UNSC Destroyer, now available for anyone to upgrade. Heck, I want someone to upgrade this ship and use it in a space battle! Mr. Tegu knows how hard the old destroyer was, and this version is the latest evolution. You have to select the forward facing control pod in the upper turret to control here to correct orientation. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hgv0f7ky50k0asc/UNSC%20Sky%20Breaker%20MKII%20CA.craft?dl=0 The ship used to be equipped with VTOL Kraken Drives. I removed them for this upload.
  7. Happy birthday! I hope KSP has a bright future, and that applies to everyone!
  8. The Falklands is quite an entertaining territory, especially when you factor in the histrionics of Argentina. I can answer that question when I get back to AP World History after break. It's probably in my book, but I'm currently cramming for my other classes.
  9. Because our current naval realities are intrinsically tied to colonial history.
  10. Hehe. And South Korea (where my family's from) went under Japanese rule for a few decades. Colonialism has a rather rich history, although the Italians decided to start their colonial crusade before WWII with some chemical weapons in Ethiopia.
  11. Scandinavia had a history of trolling the Soviet Navy's nuclear subs during the cold war. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_submarine_S-363 Also, I live in San Diego. We've got a bunch of experimental warships and Nuclear Super carriers docked here, including quite a few nuclear submarines. Not to mention some of the last remaining F-14 Tomcats. Apart from Norfolk VA, SD NB is one of the largest naval bases. Then there's the jar heads over in Camp Pendleton.
  12. Hmm... I'm going to need larger VLS cells on the 25DD. The KDX 3 VLS cells are already at their limit, and the SM 3 is a rather long missile. Or I might just designate the rear cells as J VLS cells. Make sure not to sail without antifreeze.
  13. Yes! More warships! I'll be working on the 25DD. Also, the Izumo will soon receive the new attack vtols.
  14. Well, I've decided to take on a new destroyer project. The ship will feature improved VLS cells, more powerful COGLAG power plants, a new deckhouse with integrated communications antennas and MFR low profile T/R modules, and possibly the ability to carry SM-III missiles. JMSDF. :D
  15. You'll get plenty of variety with Australian (aka Terminator) bugs. I'm starting to plan out the hull configuration of the warship. Trying to reduce hydrodynamic drag is going to be a challenge.
  16. Hehe. I actually had a few relatives in the IJN, so I decided to run with a Japanese theme. (Though it wasn't by choice. At least my grandfather studied law in Japan. XD ) And my grandmother lived in Japan before and during WWII. XD She still starts rambling in Japanese when she gets mad. Anyways, I'll try making this ship as a long term project. I'm still working out deeper recessed VLS cells with better exhaust control. I've also still got to perfect the COGLAG or CODGAG propulsion system in my ships.
  17. ... I don't recall seeing that before. Well, I guess your old strike fighter now has an atmospheric twin!
  18. Magic. Hehe. Also, deep from within my prototype labs, I pull out the Ã…Âsuzumebachi. Screenshots are a mix of various prototypes. I'm deploying this on the DDH Izumo, with a potential upgrade to carry four missiles. Pretty darn maneuverable, and extremely fast in vtol mode. If squad adds stock rotors, I'll finally be able to replicate this scene.
  19. It's so wonderful, that there's no op! I wonder if it'll be approved.
  20. Apparently, the tires have a high impact tolerance. They seem to have forgotten about some of the structural parts.
  21. Because of finals. I'm taking an AP World exam in one hour. XD -Initiate cram session- Also, I'd gladly fight spartwo in a naval battle. (And Zamonivar.) I just need to arm my warship with a few more cruise missiles. I originally intended on using the empty space for a landing pad, but it'd just turn into a structural/exposed liability area.
  22. Clearance is your friend. Get the low impact tolerance parts above the waterline. For example: Keep the durable parts in contact with the water.
