Was nothing compared to some of the unwarranted self importance I've seen in other gaming circles when things don't go there way. I didn't even notice or take it as begging.
-
And this is why this community rules. No one begged, no one had any sort of self importance about it, just kindly wished in passing and then and a kind soul came across and fixed it for us..

Roger that Houston.. We have Linux GUI control

Just me or does the dev 64bit version not work right in Linux? I deleted 7-3 before installing it.. 7-3 was fine Clouds ground level look normal until you ascend and things start getting weird http://i.imgur.com/jc5L6Iy.jpg This is the dark side of Kerbin http://i.imgur.com/aUI4g8c.png by 200000 you get just shadows http://i.imgur.com/VlURgxV.jpg -
Same I jump to Windows for Prepar3D (flight sim) Photoshop and games. Daily grind PC stuff and KSP is purely Linux for me.

The Linux compatibility thread!

Yeah, the numpad numbers don't work at all. Like entering numbers in a mechjeb field etc, or even in the name field when saving a craft. Numbers from the numpad just don't register a single thing (yes numlock is on and they do work in other applications). Again, we're forced to use the number keys on the main keyboard which are usually tied to action groups which makes things interesting sometimes. -
I don't know why Squad released the 64bit Windows client. I was actually surprised when I heard it was being released because it wasn't that long ago I heard the 64bit Windows Unity client was still highly unstable.. And well. It obviously still is very unstable. This mod too is the only one I've ever had a Linux specific problem with. The Linux 64bit client is equal in stability to its 32bit counterpart.. It's a shame Windows isn't the same.
-
Well hopefully someone will pick up maintaining it and workout the Linux problem. I prefer KSP in Linux.. The 64bit client is light years ahead of the Windows client. Still appreciate the mod a lot. Was fun what little I did get to use it. Lots of promise here to expand on too.

No go for Linux 32bit and 64bit.. I'm also not entirely sure this is 100% Windows 64bit friendly either. I've got nothing but random crashes during start up of KSP when this is installed. Edit: I take that back.. I just got a random crash without this installed..

I found slapping a can on the bottom instead of relying on a docked capsule helps A LOT since it is all now one rigid structure and no coupler wobble involved. I also found making an adjustment and using time acceleration to stop wobbbles, rinse, repeat works out well. Agree. One of the coolest addons. Hope someone can pick it up and maintain it.. I even manage to snap a pic of Eeloo

Oh duh.. I read that too but it just didn't make the connection when I experienced it in game.

Is anyone else getting super shakey movement the further the objects get. Even with "fine" control toggled I find it extremely difficult to line up a planet for a picture.
-
Is version 1.4 working on x64 Windows for anyone else? It is always causing KSP to crash during on the loading screen.. Delete the RemoteTech folder and the crashing stops. Working fine w/ 32bit. Dev build #32 works fine in 64bit though.
-
I like the aesthetics of it on the outside. I like complicated pieces of machinery that look complicated. Just took a few photos of Eve.. The screenshots it produces are awesome.. This is the coolest little gadget to fly into orbit.
-
Sure.. It's really pretty simple to build though. http://www./download/7bbd488b3ttsey7/CactEye+Telescope.craft
-
That's fine. I figured nothing could be done but wanted to confirm it so it could be added to the OP to save someone elses Tech OCD from going crazy.
-
Can now confirm. This addon is not Linux compatible. Worked like a charm on Windows.

How much freedom have you brought to the Kerbol System?

This looks like something alcohol contributed to -
I threw this together and sent it up in Sandbox mode.. I can't get any GUI to come up. And nothing appearing in Toolbar either pertaining to the telescope. I even removed toolbar.. Right click, and clicking Toogle GUI isn't producing anything. Running the Linux 64bit version of KSP Edit: Tried it in a stock vanilla copy of KSP.. Neither 32bit or 64bit are showing a GUI at all. I'll try Windows tomorrow to see if it's purely a Linux thing

Wow.. This looks great.. Rebooting to Linux to play!

Thanks Voidi.. Anyone figure out a way to get numberpad keys working? Using the numbers on the normal row is ok but it is a nightmare with craft with action groups. -

On a dual monitor setup you have KSP on one monitor, and your web browser in the the other and catch yourself holding the mouse button and dragging to change `camera' position in the browser
