Banida por que eu nunca tinha parado pra pensar nisso, 345m/s é a velocidade do som (dado uma temperatura especifica de aproximadamente 23 graus celcius a 1atm). -

Just bought the i7 4790k, will arrive soon, gunna be gud. No, a 6700k was really not worth it on my case, I would be stuck without the ability to overclock it, be forced to use DDR3 on it and underuse my WC and PSU, at a 30% higher cost. This baby is what is going to run the next BAD-T battles, so expect 30+fps on 2x2 battles. I am expecting the 1.1 update to allow up to 4x4 battles, maybe 8x8 (4 vessels per core) if the performance is THAT much better, but that would be a bit too much even if it becomes possible, would rather increase the part count What I really expect is to be able to set up battlefields and strike missions on 1.1 without lagging at all. -

As a rule of thumb,if "this shouldn't be allowed" crosses your mind, you should reconsider your design. And... no VTOLs, lewl. Biplanes won't be allowed on this version of BAD-T, will study adding them on the next one. Right now I am deciding on a deadline, given that experimentals should last around two weeks at least, thinking about 13th or 20th. -

I would rather if everybody entered monoplanes for fairness. If I was to allow biplanes I would have to create a new class for them, with less points and stuff. Edit: and remember that you no airplane is a wasted design, you can battle against anything to improve your own design even if it's illegal. -

@Pds314 that is exactly the problem, there are so many possibilities that if you were to do that it would end up being computationally unfeasible. This was never ever done in real life for a good reason. You can get away with evolving things towards one or a few goals, especially when they are simple, but this is much more complex than that. Also, changing that little does not improve it enough so that you can really compare, your best design will eliminate all others right away and keep fighting against itself, and on this case the output of the battle is pretty much random, you would need to change way too much to notice differences. So it would be neat to evolve the AI, or a specific part of the airplane, but you would have to judge by yourself or develop something to analyze the behavior, win/loss can only be used for two totally different designs. That is what makes BAD-T so nice, the best doesn't always win. Another strategy would be develop two designs yourself and improve one to defeat the other, when one gets stuck and always loses, experiment until something defeats the previous, and keep doing that. The hard part is making a new one to defeat the previous but you learn with time and will learn how to attack its weaknesses. @KamikazeF0X bombs yes, but not missiles, who knows when the AI will start using them against other airplanes? -

@Pds314 Unfortunately even if you programmed such a plugin you would face a sad truth. Apart from local minimums another big problem you would face would be the way you select and evolve these airplanes. Evolution works super well against environments and/or clear rules, but evolving an airplane that fights the best against itself or another specific group or type of airplane would not mean you will behave well against every other possible airplane. Another weird fact is that the "best" is not always going to win, sometimes you will get sniped by a barelly flying brick with some heavy weaponry over and over again. This could both screw up your evolution or frustrate you in a battle. But I cannot recommend tweaking and retesting more, engineer your own desin, tweak it against something like the dummy, then manually evolve its AI, that should make sure it's at least piloted as well as it can. -

I didn't want to explicit piston monoplanes but you should not abuse multi winged designs too much. (In fact after a point every airplane was a monoplane so I could technically enforce it) -

@The Optimist Are you sure? On my testings there were no such a thing as induced torque. Did you manually update the Firespitter plugin? You should use the one that comes with the pack. Can you send a screenshot of what is happening? Does it happen with other engines? This is very intriguing. -

@The Optimist You mean thrust? No, not really, they have very high thrust for their mass and size. You may be used to KAX engines, or jet engines, real propellers are nowhere near that poweful, you should try KAX with AJE. Overpowered propellers would defeat the purpose of this tournament, it would be all about whoever is lighter and can turn more without caring about energy at all. -

@MightyDarkStar Yes, I had that idea too after seeing the post on BDArmory's thread. We will experiment with it, and if it works as nicely as we expect it too that could be implemented on the next update. @123nick No, it is not compatible, and unfortunately I am not going to make it compatible. That is because this mod is meant to be a full standalone pack, if you grab BDArmory's dll and throw it with this mod it's going to work and won't miss anything. Adding dependencies is a bad idea, as I am not responsible for them. -

@Pds314 Enjoy being able to use shadowplay however you wish with your extra 10 frames per second or more. The difference in framerate is insane, and KSP freezes when on the background so it doesn't use any resource. Shadowplay not being able to record Unity games is an Unity's fault, not shadowplay's. It was caused by their lazyfix of the issue where games freeze when alt tabbed from, which caused problems on multiplayer games. Yes, their fix was simply block anything from ever being reproduced at a true fullscreen mode, does not matter what you do, unless you use this fix you will be playing on windowed mode. Pros: - Free fps boost (want proof? Watch BAD-T 1 battles recorded on my laptop). - Being able to use Shadowplay/ Share. - KSP freezes when on the background, using virtually no resource other than RAM. - Less tearing/stutter (may fix stutter some people experience with high specs pcs) Cons: - Game does not run on the background - Cannot alt+tab during loading as it breaks loading. - Screen flickers when alt tabbing like on any true fullscreen program. Shadowplay is by far the best recording software I have ever used, the filesize is punny even on lossless 1080p 60fps recording, the quality is absurd and I have never noticed any performance impact, ever. So unless you are using multiple monitors or doing so much stuff that you rather have a poorer performance than wait a second of flicker during alt tabs, I see absolutely no reason to not use the fix. Ps: this is how I record BAD-T on my laptop with 25+ fps flying 4 crafts at the same time and lots of visual effect mods. -
