  1. [shadow=blue, right]You had me all excited that a revision was inbound.[/shadow]
  2. I cannot wait for more development on this project.
  3. Axes, you were right the first time.
  4. With docking, you could leave your spacecraft in orbit and use a lander for everything else.
  5. Since I\'ve been getting PMs about how I approach this launch, I\'ll say this: -Full throttle until ~200m/s, then cut back to 75% throttle. -Wait until 30km to begin gravity turn. (And it requires a smooth gravity turn. Let gravity do the work, don\'t crank the craft eastward 90° when you hit 30km, you should be above the atmosphere before you\'re horizontal.) -Do not rotate the stack until you\'re in orbit and have burnt most of the fuel in the station. It\'s tricky, but certainly doable. And really, you should just attempt your own. This was a late-night drunken idea, so it definitely isn\'t polished, there are far more stable stacks that could be created. This was just a 'holy shit! I did it!' thing. I\'m afraid I\'m not enough of a regular to know what causes this. I\'d recommend clicking the command capsule in the VAB and placing the entire rocket elsewhere to see if that lets it load smoother. I\'ve learned you can place rockets further from the launch tower by its orientation on the circle on the floor of the VAB.
  6. Looks awesome! What\'s on the bottom-most node, facing us. The goldish dome-top tank?
  7. Well, I have to say, thank you for creating it. Really simple concept, but you, Harv, and Tibs have done something small but great.
  8. Yeah, and the Vanguard shows up under the decals tab.
  9. Yeah, it could certainly use more RCS. I\'m going to tinker with this again after getting some sleep. Was just pretty stoked to get my first station in orbit. It required jumping in and out of time-warp to regain control when it started tumbling.
  10. You downloaded the Node too right? Those 3 Nova packs and this Node.
  11. A look at this beast. The .craft file You need KSP - Silisko Edition, Probodobodyne, and the Vanguard shuttle. (And the node, naturally) Has a funny tendency to tumble when you\'re close to orbiting, so, you know, have fun.
  12. Figure it out: Here you go. Like I said though, you need those 3 Nova packs.
  13. So it appears .craft files aren\'t saved in the ships folder anymore, so I don\'t know how to share this with you.
  14. It would require 3 of Nova\'s packs: His edition of KSP His probodobodyne pack His vanguard pack I can upload the craft in the morning.
  15. This is awesome! Can finally make space stations!
  16. The shop is looking pretty snazzy, but I think you should move the links to change profile information to the top. I\'d rather not admit how long it took me to find it.
  17. And while I would agree, I only noticed when moon trajectory tutorials were coming out. So, it was at least 12.1. With only one video I seen have they brought up a good reason: if you can fight the orbit of kerbin, you only need 1/2 an orbit before you can attempt a munar injection, what about the rest?
  18. No, I\'m not, I\'m launching east. To 90. These videos are posted in the Subreddit dedicated to this game. Most of the orbit and moon shot tutorials show a lot of people launching west. I was wondering if there was a reason.
  19. Head west when launching from the moon, achieve a small orbit, and burn on the 'dark side' of the moon until your apogee is mostly towards the earth, you should do a Figure S naturally and descend in an eastern orbit.
  20. Ok, I can read it now, forgot it was from pilots view. So I have been launching east though, what\'s with everyone launching west?
  21. I\'ve been seeing a lot of videos lately where people are taking off and doing a gravity turn the opposite way I\'ve been normally doing them. Maybe I\'m under the wrong impression, but isn\'t the solid red line on the navball south? Isn\'t it easier to drop to the east rather than west?
  22. Excellent, thanks for the reply! (However, what the hell is TVV? I'm familiar with most of the acronyms thrown around here, but that's a new one to me.)
