  1. Alright, so tweaked it just a bit for RCS controls while in orbit. Wonderful design! Very simple, and was easy to balance when recreating, just had to trim some weight so it could lift to extra tank. Had to switch to joystick at this point... Thanks for the layout!
  2. DeadlyPear: I\'d be willing to bet you could take off about half of your wings, which will help balance the weight distribution of your craft. Here is a shot of the original prototype in space with the fuel level, altitude, speed, and periapsis. That\'s fantastic! I\'ll have to play around with that to see if I can cram some RCS on there.
  3. Thanks guys! I agree, it would be damned near perfect with some SAS, I just couldn\'t figure out the weight loss while including RCS. this weekend I\'ll try again.
  4. Thank you! And I\'d be honored to be listed. Honestly, I\'ve only had about a 33% successful landing-rate with it though, still need to tinker with wing placement.
  5. No it isn\'t. The coding is practically done, but it still needs refinement before Squad puts it in game.
  6. Made this over the weekend, The Wespe: Gets to at least 70km, all one piece, 2 stages, enough RCS fuel for orbital maneuvering, and enough jet fuel to do a controlled landing. All 0.15 vanilla parts.
  7. Climb pretty much straight up until ~10km, start banking east like you would with a rocket, at ~14km up, kick on the airspike, and cut the jets around 20-22km up. Hit 45degrees at ~28km up, and slowly bring your nose toward the horizon. Should have 1/3-1/2 of a LFT, as well as about 1/2 of each jet fuel tank. Has RCS for orbital maneuvering. Let me know what you think!
  8. Honestly, that\'d be pretty nice. Nova\'s probably pretty busy, but it\'d be cool for some small tutorials about something beyond the blender tutorials and whatnot.
  9. It doesn\'t have much fuel left, though. Mind reposting that?
  10. This is a pretty well balanced little plane. Very easy on the landing.
  11. That\'s pretty much spot-on. Good work! I\'m debating whether or not I want to make this stable, or if I should just get on with trying to make orbital craft again...
  12. Finally got this balanced enough to require minimal trimming and is capable of fairly stable flight, as well as extreme maneuvering. Be gentle, it\'s biased to turning fast, it\'s best to snap at 22.5 degree angles and lock it with the SAS if you need to turn quickly while maintaining control. To do things similar to the Herbst and Kulbit maneuvers, you need to build up a nice bit of level speed, turn off SAS, snap the nose vertical, cut your thrust to 0 while pushing your stick forward as soon as you\'re aiming straight up (counter-intuitive, I know, trust me on it though), this will snap force you into a Herbst-esque turn, like so: Turn SAS on and crank throttle to 100% to complete this, or, pull your stick back again and you\'ll complete a very tight Kulbit-ish loop. Which again, you want to turn on SAS and throw your throttle to max to recover. Tried to show a Kulbit followed by a Herbst in my exhaust trail:
  13. Thank you! Yeah, it\'d be easier if I weren\'t so OCD about landing gear placement, or if the gear were just a little longer, but as it is, it\'s either adding canards up front to provide a naturally lifting nose, or wait until your engines won\'t smash into the ground. The C7 SAS helps with a gradual accent though. Your little fighter handles a lot better than this though. Thanks! It seems they tweaked the atmosphere again, or maybe the official wings vs. the original mod\'s wings, but this plane used to handle a little better (not much), but my X-31 clone is no longer able to perform the Herbst maneuver, it just goes into a series of Kulbit\'s.
  14. Just threw this together as a break from tweaking another plane, thought it looked good enough to share: Just stock .15 parts. I would let it build up speed and pull up at the end of the run way. It\'s....interesting....during take-off.
  15. That riveting looks amazing! And I love the springy animation on those solar panels. If I may though, I think you should make the adapters a brighter color. Like the orange color of what I\'m assuming are engine fairing panels. Like a \'50\'s-\'60\'s test craft:
  16. That\'s exactly what it is. I\'m sorry, I completely spaced that I have my stations relay through my comms network.
  17. That looks very cool. Very Russianesque design to it. BTW, I think you meant 'Fling-Wing,' 'Fixed-Wing' refers to planes, 'Fling-Wing' refers to helos.
  18. Did you change the burn period too? Looks very nice though.
  19. Yeah, hit quote instead on accident, fixed now though BTW, I made an engine texture too to match these stacks:
  20. Sure, it\'s a little different now, and doesn\'t line up properly, but, it looks ok on small craft for a minute texture job.
  21. Hell, I\'d like to see this with animated inflation now that it\'s possible.
  22. By the way, your new textures looked great in the teaser thread, Nova. Side note: I retextured your probodobodyne fuel tank to show why I was curious about the possibility of .5m parts in the future of SE2: And I know it\'s come up before, if anyone wants to modify the probodobodyne fuel tanks to be side-mountable, just throw this in the config file: node_attach = 0.0, 0.0, -2.665, 0.0, 0.0, 1.0, 1 attachRules = 1,1,1,1,0
  23. No problem at all! Somewhat agree. I just want small hinges for my probes and .5m rockets. Though, honestly, I wouldn\'t mind if he just used r4m0n\'s pluging to power his models.
  24. He\'s probably pretty wrapped up in experimentals right now for 0.15.
