The reason why it wouldn't make sense for kerbals to have either one or the other gender: Most flowers (plants have flowers) are both male and female. These codes cannot be scanned as QR codes I'm afraid. For this to be scanned as one, it needs to be black white reversed and the blocks are missing. I know that feel... I used Gamemaker 8.1 (free). I use it because you can easily access multiple files without having to load every single one of them separately. However, this can be done in Paint.net, with GIMP and even with MS Paint, but I'm just used to using this...
