  1. Jelly. What is the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything? (not 42!)

    Riddles

No. Gosh, and I was worried that I might make the riddle too easy. Another bonus verse, so let's hope there are enough clues here. Original: Bonus verse 1: Bonus verse 2: Also, recall this guess that I thought was close:
  3. This made me laugh so much. It made me want to point out SpaceSphereOfDeath's signature: Gilly. Is. POTATO
  4. Well, the point was to count, not simply post a larger number. 146 = A( √(!4), 4 ) +4! + √(!4) Edit: should be shown as 146 = A( √(!4), 4 ) +4! - √(!4) (the wolframalpha link is correct with the minus)

    Riddles

No; nothing so violent. Here's the original: And a bonus verse:
  6. I'm planning to make a go at this. Regarding rule 3 "No changing of direction allowed (no flight inputs)", does this simply mean that I can't use most of my keyboard, aka no QEWASD,X,HNJKLI,T? Also, I'm assuming that joysticks shouldn't be allowed. I think I'll make a Minmus landing with keys 1-9, spacebar, and an initial pressing of shift to throttle up.
  7. ALT + < and ALT + >? (note, don't hit the shift key) That should get you physics warp, which should make that happen (I think).
  8. 145 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + Γ(Γ(4)) / Γ(4)

    Riddles

Well, the last two guesses are still wrong. Keep guessing. Also, as an additional hint, this is restricted to human technology created during the last, say, 70 years or so.
  10. 143 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + Γ(4) * √(!4)
  11. I live in the US: Imperial is the only system I have an intuitive sense with. My temperature is in Fahrenheit (close to 0 degrees today), driving distance is in miles, my height in feet and inches. However, metric is the only one that is convenient in any kind of science/engineering problem, except if its all relative. For example, psi (or some variant like kilopound per square inch) is fine in a mechanics problem, because most everything there is just proportions. However, in a thermodynamics problem, Imperial is distasteful, and doesn't make sense to me. So, Imperial for life, Metric for engineering.
  12. I don't know if it has life, but Take On Mars might be worth a look.
  13. I seem to have deleted my 139, so here it is with 141. Bed is soon here, too. 139 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + Γ(4) + 4!! 141 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + 4!! + 4!! And Amram's 140 seems to have disappeared, so: 140 = Γ(Γ(4)) + 4!! + Γ(4) + Γ(4) And I am done for today.
  14. 139 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + Γ(4) + 4!!
  15. Well, about 30 numbers in about 3 hours. Vexx should stop by more often. 137 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + Γ(4) + Γ(4)
  16. 135 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + 4 + Γ(4)
  17. 133 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + 4 + 4
  18. 131 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + √4 + 4
  19. 129 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + √4 + √4
  20. 127 = A( √(!4), 4 ) + 4 / √4
  21. 125 = A( √(!4), √(!4) ) * √4 + √(!4)
  22. 123 = Γ(4)!! + Γ(4)!! + 4! + √(!4)
  23. 121 = Γ(4)!! + Γ(4)!! + 4! + !(√4)
  24. But I haven't, I swear. 119 = Γ(4)!! + Γ(4)!! + 4! - !(√4)
