  1. Landing gear are optionally steerable as of 0.23; can we edit that line? Still don't know of anything regarding powered landing gear.
  2. I can say that water/horizon lag is still annoying, but when in space or in the VAB/SPH, my FPS has decidedly gone up. And this is on a crappy computer that almost has no right to be running this game (I really ought to get more than 1GB of RAM, or a newer-than-2005-computer).
  3. "By Jove, we should just slingshot out of this thread."
  4. An angle? Are they acute, right, or obtuse?
  5. Just so long as the servers don't go the way of FIRST Choice when 0.23 gets released. Why are you asking for so many Christmas presents? Isn't 0.23 enough?
  6. Well, it's not for a reason of DRM, but on Windows, DEP (Data Execution Prevention) causes weird things if it's saved to certain locations (desktop, for example). But yeah, play from hard drive, play from jump drive, play in UK or US or on the Moon if you can get there, it doesn't matter. Lag-wise, some of the worst is looking right at Kerbin's ocean (though I hear that 0.23, coming very shortly, has remedied that), so getting out into space and other bodies can help performance.
  7. Thanks for pointing out the old devblog --> http://kerbalspace.tumblr.com/page/38. Go to aroundd :06. What is with the road?
  8. Tw1, is that stock?!? It's hard to tell. Impressive either way.
  9. Looks like it is working correctly. Because you have the RCS ports at 45deg to the cardinal directions, the diagonal thrusting is a sign that it is working perfectly. If you look carefully, the ports are doing the following: / ______ | / |\ |/ | \ ____ \ ____ / |\ | / | \ |/ \ ____ The forces pointing (lets say) fore and aft cancel out, leaving an overall left-ward motion. (excuse the quality of the arrows).
  10. Don't know how appropriate adding it is, but from one of my other obsessions (other than KSP):
  11. Can we see pictures of your craft? Are they just dying? Is the ship exploding? Please, more details.
  12. I think I might take a plane out for a spin to see how the taxiing of steerable gear works and how well the ocean lag has been beaten.
  13. I also noticed that you can now tweak a control surface to only respond to a combination of roll, pitch, and yaw inputs. Proper ailerons and rudders, here we come!
  14. You know you're addicted when... ...you have two threads open on this this kind of topic: *http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/29988-The-You-know-you-play-too-much-KSP-when-thread/page54 *http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/44278-You-know-you-re-addicted-to-KSP-when/page4
  15. Well, if RCS is allowed, then it's a resounding YES.
  16. That isn't a mod, that was Squad's dev work toward resources approx 0.19.
  17. What if I want to bring less oxidizer so that I can use intake air will in atmosphere? Edit: Ninja'd
  18. I wonder what Wikipedia's notability guidelines would like then? Delete - Non-notable alien corporation. Not covered by an Earth references. Keep - Would you delete it just because all the sources were in Swedish? Keep, it has five reliable extraterrestrial references. Would they have any out-of-copyright encyclopedias, like the 1911 EB, to import to Wikipedia. Would anyone want that to happen. Do the aliens have copyright? Would Earth respect their copyright? US law only vests copyright in humans (or persons, I'm not really sure). Would we have to give the aliens legal personhood? What would that do to the pride of our species? Why do I go on these hypothetical tangents?
  19. For a proper binary system, no reasonable algorithm or model has been proposed other than some form of numeric integration on at least 2 bodies (2...n-body). So, bye-bye the current patched conics system, with its on-rails orbits and all that. It isn't hard to code, but it might be slow to run, and it might not be as fun.
  20. I never knew that KSP was released Mar 30, 2013... voted
  21. What does Earth offer for export? Fish, all of it. The dolphins were very appreciative before they left.
  22. Well, all the planets are axially aligned to the galactic axis. So, the only ones inclined to the star are the ones with inclined orbits. I believe there is some amount of dificulty in getting tilted planets.
