1. I just want to rule out the obvious, but do you have any bombs left in your inventory?
2. Here's the code I feel comfortable with. It seems to work well with Deadly Reentry, although I haven't tested it out in FAR yet. I've also only tested these chutes on Kerbin with just the pod, Docking port, and heatshield setup. // Drogue Parachutes MODULE { name = ModuleParachute invertCanopy = true autoCutSpeed = 50 capName = chute_cover_drogue canopyName = canopy_drogue semiDeployedAnimation = SDHI_ParaDock_1_drogue_semi_deploy fullyDeployedAnimation = SDHI_ParaDock_1_drogue_full_deploy stowedDrag = 0.22 semiDeployedDrag = 4 fullyDeployedDrag = 80 //Down from a chute snapping 200 minAirPressureToOpen = 0.1 deployAltitude = 7000 //Down from 8000 deploymentSpeed = 1.5 semiDeploymentSpeed = 1.5 } // Main Parachutes MODULE { name = ModuleParachute invertCanopy = true autoCutSpeed = 0.5 capName = chute_cover_mains canopyName = canopy_main semiDeployedAnimation = SDHI_ParaDock_1_main_semi_deploy fullyDeployedAnimation = SDHI_ParaDock_1_main_full_deploy stowedDrag = 0.22 semiDeployedDrag = 40 //Up from 20 fullyDeployedDrag = 1500 //Considering reduction to 500 like the stock chute, but otherwise doesn't seem to pose a problem minAirPressureToOpen = 0.3 deployAltitude = 500 //Down from 2000 deploymentSpeed = 1 semiDeploymentSpeed = 1 }
3. Same here. It has everything I could ever wish for and I really cannot see switching back to the lame only dock docking port or the only parachute parachute. The only thing I changed were some of the opening values so that my crafts don't spend 15 minutes decending from 2 kilometers up.
4. Remarkable. I have the same combination on my luggage. [/spaceballs] With that said, given my lack of experience with chemistry I'm going to assume that that is sugar given the discription. Am I right?
5. Reboot wise, her. Other than that, I'd used to watch old VHS tapes of the original series which only consisted of a few episodes, namely Balance of Terror, The Doomsday Machine, and The Trouble with Tribbles. In a way I was somewhat too young to understand TNG and some of the deeper issues in DS9. I also enjoyed the classic movies, however I did loose interest around the end of Voyager and the first 2 seasons of Enterprise. Then one day I was thumbing through the channels when I saw this epic sci fi show and was shocked to find out that this was the same Enterprise I had lost interest on a few years ago. I was eagerly awaiting Season 5 with the Romulan threat reaching that critical point, alas it was not to be That said, I do have some issues with Abram's vision of Star Trek, however I did find both movies somewhat entertaining. I just wish that the cute white haired girl was given slightly more screentime. (and a character name)
6. So what's up with the distress signal anyway and why does it sound so bloody creepy? WHO DESIGNS A CREEPY SOS?
7. This might be FAR for space if you can get it to work properly. I wish you luck on your endeavor and hope you don't go crazy in the process.
8. Honestly I like the ribbed look as well. It adds more detail than a plain fairing does.
9. For a landing tutorial, I'd suggest using minmus as that is much more forgiving to land on than the mun is.
10. Well sorry to hear about that. I hope you can catch up with all your finals stuff before they crack down on you. Good luck
11. Just out of curiosity, how does it sound with reentry effects?
12. Now I watched the little preview video you made and I noticed that when you got to the sub assembly announcement there didn't seem to be a way to organize your various parts. What I'm suggesting is that you can add folders or something so that we can easily categorize the sub assemblies so that all my rovers can go in one file, reliable lifters can go in another, and crazy firework dispensers which blow up everything within loading distance can go in their own folder as well.
13. I wouldn't mind if sensors would say that there is an atmosphere even if it didn't effect my 10 meter orbits around the mun. Actually I'd kind of prefer if it didn't and it will only be there for the science part of it, not to perform munar aerobreaks.
14. Or in it's first docking, this mechanical jeb manages to burn off several large RCS tanks in 3 seconds and real Jeb is called in to tell them how to dock with SRB rockets only.
15. Although it does beg the question of what if Rozer had gone down instead of Bob? If something had happened to Rozer prior to the events on Duna, then who would have been there to conduct the Protius' true mission? That's why I'm wondering why Rozer didn't spill the beans once the ship had left Kerbin's SOI, had something happen to him these people would still only be planting flags and posing for photos.
16. One thing I could never understand, and something I'm hoping Jeb asks is why are they keeping secrets? I mean it's not like they can run away and tell anyone when you're billions of kilometers away from the nearest telephone, so why so secretive?
17. Now I know I mentioned this earlier, but are there plans to have a Fustek themed docking port that is compatible with the Stock 1.25 port?
18. I don't belive they are, I think sumghai configured it so that they are only compatable with eachother, however you could try modifying the CFG files to make them compatable with the stock docking ports, it just won't look too aesthetically pleasing.
19. I'm somewhat fond of diesel fumes myself, every time a truck drives by and I get a whiff my mind drifts back to the area around the Submarine Ride and Autopia at Disneyland back when I was a kid.
20. If you don't mind me asking, how did you manage to get that to work?
21. Have you ever thought about using the orange radial motors, using liquid fuel it would allow reusablity that your current design can't really do. Or you could do what I do and just plop a that Kethane closet and get a little fuel out of it.
22. Finally, a non-Joolpiter Jool. Also nice Vall
23. I have to say, that looks pretty cool. looking at those guide fins, I had an idea for a completely redundant docking port, this one shaped so that it would look as if it fits with the stock sized ports that looks kind of like this 30 second blender I made. Granted I'm not sure if such a thing is worth the effort right now, but I figure what's the harm in sharing thoughts at 1 in the morning.
