  1. Sadly I just went about this manually again. I tinkered with adding it to the script but couldn't get it working. The scaling works for *most* of the textures but some require some positioning on the texture in addition to needing the scale tweak. Thankfully it helps that you only need to make this scaling/positioning adjustment once per part and not for each individual element.
  2. A quick render I did while playing around with the import addon. Looking for testing fodder I found this beauty, Aanker's Krumman F-14 Tomcat. The designer even gives you a handy link to some familiar inspirational flying music Defiantly the total package!! So download the craft, fire up the video in YouTube, and proceed to have a blast!   3. Mod still acting up but functioning enough to get some renders done. Had to adjust the textures manually, mostly a simple scaling on the y axis by -1 but a few had to be moved around somewhat. Managed to get MadRocketScientists craft imported and textures changed as well so at least some of the newer parts appear to be importing. With luck I should have something to show him soon.

  5. Well, none of it was due to some directory problem... Not sure what happened since zero changed. No directory name changes, etc. As for the textures it appears they have been flipped as well as rotated. Weird.
  6. Is your import functioning properly? About all I can manage now is getting the craft into Blender with the textures all wonky.
  7. Heyas MadRocketScientst. I'll add your craft to the list but will need to put things on hold until the mod gets updated. Appears the 1.0 update killed the mod that imports the craft files.

  10. Ohh that one should turn out great. I'll get on it as soon as I'm finished with a launch scene I'm cobbling together for DMSP. Progress will be a hair slow since I'm stuck in the boonies for another week and operating on sub-par equipment!

  12. Mad Rocket Scientists Hover tank is one mean machine. I had all kinds of fun driving this one around the KSC and taking pot shots at my buildings. I wish I could have devoted more to this one but I'm away from my main PC on an old laptop with a 3g connection. (First world problem right?)

  14. I'm struggling to remember where I got that initial map. Give me a few and I'll try and track down the post I found it on. I remember doing some Google 'foo for a bit and think it was a map texture someone had posted here somewhere in the forums.

  16. The mod is still having issues with some mod parts and not properly importing them. B9 is unfortunately one of those that it isn't working for at the moment. It has been very hit or miss for any mod part to be imported actually At least for me.
  17. Sheesh Sma! Everytime I turn around your out doing yourself. That is one snazzy looking dish you've got going there! Can't wait to see it all textured and such. Yeah, those cycles settings can get ya every time. You can try killing the Reflective Caustics under the render/light paths settings. Might clean it up some and slightly improve render times. Also setting the Multiple Importance switch on your light source will help get rid of noise, usually anyway. The option is hiding under the lamp drop down for your light source. Really helps when you add any sort of area lamps or sharp glossy objects. Another multiple importance settings is in your global world settings. Not specifically sure how they relate to one another but I've seen them both used concurrently.
  18. Nope. Texture from NASA image that I made normal, occlusion, specular, and displacement map for. Then two layers of atmosphere are added along with cloud layers. Night side lights from cities are there as well though not very visible in that shot. Then I used an interesting node setup I found that really sets the atmosphere off and brings it all together.
  19. Oh you replica craft... you will be the death of my processor yet!!! This SpaceX Dragon v2 replica is all kinds of fun! Zucal really hit the mark with this one and produced one great craft. I really like the nice flowing lines of the capsule and additionally how the semi-hidden SAS subtly changes the looks of the separators. Read all about this awesome replica here.   21. Paying homage to STS-107 Space Shuttle Columbia and her crew. Inigma's shuttle was designed and built in memory of this flight. Be sure to check out this epic set of craft files here. The amount of fun bundled into this creation is mind blowing. Be sure to peek at the videos that Inigma and others have made using this system! Also check out all the sub-assemblies that are available. I'm circling back to this shuttle here very soon for more renders. So much fun!
  22. Well we can give it a try for sure. The mod is still being tweaked apparently so it might be very hit or miss. Haven't had any luck yet with any B9 or KW rocketry parts yet but posted a question in the mod's thread so with luck it should be working soon. That being said, just shoot me a note with the mod list and craft file and we'll see what the import brings. That's a nice looking probe for sure and would be loads of fun to do.
  23. What's so special about my other ones? Oh wow, see this one you just posted for example. Your lighting appears spot on there. You always seem to get that camera placed perfectly where it really showcases the craft. I especially liked the gradient backgrounds you were using in addition to your later ones. The "simple" gradients just made it all pop. I think someone called it a studio look on a comment for the Oblivion ship where I directly took a bite out of your style Don't know how else to describe it except saying they just felt more artsy to me your way.
  24. Of course I pick the wonky one to test The other random mod I tried was the Stock A like Station Parts here. Should have linked that before, oops. I'll give a few others a go here soon. - - - Updated - - - Tried a simple craft with a few KW parts on it to verify imports. Stock Mk1 command pod, KW SB-2 LFT fuel tank, and the Griffon Century engine. Results below. Thanks for your work on this!!!!!
