  1. Thank you so much for the swift response. Yes, some kind of simple conversion would be fairly simple and not break things too much. I've noticed this while designing my Jool system grand tour vehicle, installed some radiators only to find out that they were utterly useless I have two 4xnerva clusters and as you would imagine, they are kinda hot... I mean real hot So before trying out the other options I wanted to make sure the problem is not in me. Thanks again and hope to see a quick fix soon.
  2. Are the radiators working with the new heat system? I've tested with a bunch of hot nervas and it seems like waste heat resource is only building up in the solar panels, normal heat generated from the engines does not count and therefore is not radiated by the radiators. Furthermore, extending them do does not change radiation values. Any update on that? Is there a plan to have waste heat integrated into the stock heat system? Seems a bit odd to have two different 'temperatures' working separately. Probably this would come later on, I'm just curious if this has been noted by the current mod devs.
  3. Just use the cryogenic fuel engines pack to swap contents of fuel tanks to LF only.
  4. Ah right, I know what you mean. It's liquid fuel, not liquid hydrogen. I thought there is a mod for that.
  5. As far as I can see it has 0 payload and 0 dV left to de orbit :/ EDIT: Forgot about the nuke using LF only now, sweet you can try to ferry some payloads to orbit and rate it's cargo capabilities!
  6. I've not tried nukes on SSTO yet, but my craft happily ferries 3t to orbit with dV to spare. Also where is the cargo bay?

Cryogenic Engines Pack mode is essential for this craft. It does not use any of the engines but using it will allow you do swap the fuel tank configuration for Liquid Fuel only!   10. Career friendly Duna explorer ship. Efficient design. Lots of snacks and a teeny tiny probe lander for the more peculiarly minded space explorers. Happy launchings.   13. I've found out that airbrakes do pretty good job as attitude control surfaces in the higher atmosphere. Check the one in my signature. I took my time to put a decent ascent/decent profile description for those struggling with spaceplanes.

  17. A compact SSTO capable of placing small payload to LKO and/or crew transfers. http://kerbalx.com/iVG/Sabre-MK3-12T-to-LKO Performance after 1.0.2: 3 tonnes to LKO, make sure you will the wings with LF by right-clicking them, you will need it.
  18. I will be streaming in 2 hours and I have 2 example crafts with only small differences just to show that it is entirely possible to get an SSTO to orbit. Furthermore I put an additional challenge to myself - use only a single engine. Yes - it is trickier with the new mach effects but definitely not impossible. I'll upload the craft if people are interested.
  19. Hey guys, I have a functioning SSTO 75x75km with 300m/s deltaV left for manoeuvring (If I tinker a bit more some RSC fuel would give me some extra orbital capability). It has just a single RAPIER engine, no other jet engines. I'm planning to stream tomorrow at 6 PM BST and I'll show some example crafts (and why they didn't work). I'll upload the craft for anyone to check out. I got it to orbit in my first try and I felt really lucky unfortunately it had only couple of units of oxidizer left, just enough to de-orbit it but 1 hour later I was able to squeeze another 300 dV With 1.0 Mach effects and drag it's really tricky to get an SSTO but definitely not impossible!

  21. Have you tried Ferram ? Stock pre-1.0 atmosphere is very dense and lift is not calculated properly.

  23. Hello everyone, this is iVG and I'm back in the Kerbal Universe (for those who don't know me, I've been away for a while) and this time with a bang! I'm happy to announce that I've recently started a brand new youtube channel so beware - there won't be 100k views just yet! I am a huge fan of the KSP and I have been following the development closely so I think this is the best time to stick around and play some KSP! But enough of that - I need your help! Do you have troubles in KSP? Have you recently started Career and come to a grinding dead end? Would you like to see a real solar system sandbox series or you have even better idea?
