This is the SpacePilot Pro... even has the right name lol Review http://solidsmack.com/software-hardware-reviews/spacepilot-pro-3d-mouse-cad-google-earth/ Developer http://www.3dconnexion.co.uk/products/spacepilot-pro.html Would be perfect for flight and even for making stuff in Blender.

It really does bring into mind that this can't be faked. WAY too many little details to be faked. Oh and now I know more about the AGC I know what all those P numbers and nouns and such mean. I'm building my next phase to making my big PCB for the DSKY today. A customised laser printer toner re-melter so that it binds to my larger PCB blanks better. Was getting holes in the finer tracks up to now and the tracks needed for the seven segment displays have to be JUST right. Listening to this replay of 11 in the background is just perfect for keeping me on track. I really would love a 1:1 broadcast of Apollo 11 though. Would try to do a matched launch that way.

I'm another person who uses fraps but be warned, it DOES eat hard drive space fast. Also it gives you the bad news on how little framerates we get at the moment (due to KSP not being optimised currently).

Because the devs haven't got around to it yet. Clouds, more population etc is on the cards.

Is there a way to combine craft in the VAB
NeoMorph replied to Kerbface's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Crud, you are right. Should be easy enough to fix though. -
Loved how he modified the lyrics for Soyuz lol.
-
The only reason spaceplanes is hard is due to the physics model. If we had a proper physics model based on aerodynamics it would help a lot. I think the only real hard part is matching orbits and docking as we see a TON of these "Help me to dock" threads.

Usually you can fix the bad assembly thing by grabbing the vehicle just underneath the pod or probe body and dropping the lot minus the pod/probe onto the jigsaw. To be honest with you I don't know what it would be like without sub-assembly loader. I build various boosters so it just means having to build the payload and grabbing the booster I want to send it into orbit without any remaining debris in orbit. Saves a LOT of time. -
The thread was lost in the forum freakup. But it's a real shame there are no lagrange points for sticking spacestations.

Yay... Nurph invented the VTOC... Vertical Takeoff and Crashing

LOL... some classic pictures there. I love how awesome Mild Peril's ship looks from underneath... and then you see that engine off in the distance heh. Kind of a "WHOA... DOH!" Hey, that can be the term for a what looks awesome initally but then you realise is a bit of a spherical object up. "Hey Bob, I just did a WHOADOH!" - Jeb. Oh and 537... yes, you did an excellent WHOADOH there!
-
Nope... I posted the right link in the original post (was tired when I posted last time). It's the http://wechoosethemoon.org one.
-
Just listening the the background audio and when they turned the CSM around to mate with the LEM Neil had some problems docking and used more RCS than was normal. So to you guys having problems docking EVEN THE REAL TOP GUYS HAVE PROBLEMS TOO lol. If you are having problems IT'S NORMAL! Edit: Damn... was late and I didn't post the link lol... http://wechoosethemoon.org

Just go and have a play here... just like it happened a few minutes ago. http://wechoosethemoon.org/

OH MY GOD... Seriously, civilians can BUILD these things and fly them??????? Seems totally crazy to me...
-
If you are going to be joining two large ships it's best to invest in Quantum Struts. Current docking ports are VERY weak.
-
Heh... We should just make a ring of junk.... just add a docking adapter on the ends and a probe body and a singly solar panel. It's enough to dock it. Oh and some RCS too.

I just did a small Mun run trying to land at points by myself (after being taught by MechJeb). So I got to the Mun and landed there (after a few hiccups and redos because I wasn't happy with the landing accuracy) and then I returned to KSP... and nearly messed it all up. First off I forgot to do a quicksave so it was a definite booboo. I remembered when I was in atmosphere and of course you can't save while you are in atmo. So it was slightly worrying. To make matters worse I was coming in with a ship with no lights and a night time landing. And I misjudged the ground. So I hit a bit hard. AND KERBOOOOOOOOOMMM... Loads of explosions. But My Kerbs survived somehow. When the sun came up I saw this.... and went "WOW!... lucky Kerbonauts there!". EVERY engine had exploded and I had lost two of my landing legs. But the parachutes had slowed it enough that it survived. This was me doing a fast re-entry to KSP...

Some of those water powered rockets are mind blowing. But these ones are better but really need a better ASAS lol
-
Jr matches to Jr and the normal size can mate to normal OR the inline clamp-o-tron or the shielded clamp-o-tron. The Jr one is a size unto itself. Edit: ...and yes, I've been caught out before now.... Mainly because the size of the icons is the wrong way round (the small docking collar has the biggest icon lol).

I think I have killed about 20 stations in various orbits due to random stuff (and lack of skill) and forgot to save. Unfortunately when you hit F5 AFTER the event you lost the save. Shame there is no grandfather, father, son saving method.

There is multiple uses for using the debug noclip (getting round the radial mounting bug that doesn't let you validly attach tanks is my main use) but BEWARE. There is one thing that plagues KSP and only seems to happen at the worst possible time and is linked to clipped parts... THE PHANTOM FORCE MENACE. For those who don't know, the Phantom Force Menace is when your ship begins to turn for no apparent reason, whether in outer space or during liftoff. Two parts, crossing into each other confuses the physics engine enough that it goes bonkers. I've had ships fold themselves in two when I had a clipped ladder. I've had ships that when you put SAS on to stop a spin would burn out all their RCS fuel fighting this bug. But the more... errr... energetic clipping events can lead to this... So do go ahead and clip parts. It lets you make stupendous rockets and planes. But if it starts behaving wierd or blows up for no reason... then try to eliminate the clipped parts.

Space Plane rolling on take off
NeoMorph replied to aleis's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
All planes do it... The runway is actually tipped slightly so that down is towards the sea and to the right a little bit. Did you say your planes turn to the left? EVERY plane I have used (my own and others) have rolled to the right before I light the engines off. You know what we need too... left and right proportional brakes... like FSX has. Oh and PROPER PHYSICS!!! -
I used to think that I had just ended flights but as I ALWAYS check that I press Space Center nowadays it threw me. The problem with intermittent bugs is that they are REALLY hard to chase down.
