  1. you may have been using the new Cupola module, which has a high rotPower.
  2. I think people should be more accurate, both in asking this question and in answering it: I, for example, have noticed the game running faster, but only as long as I don't "look" at the ground. I get horrible lag when the camera view includes Kerbin's terrain, while there is a definite improvement in loading times, and especially in launching ships with high part count. we all seem to agree on the fact that the new terrain textures have caused problems to a lot of people, so "is 0.20 faster than 0.19" cannot be really answered.
  3. you know what's the best place for catching air? Dres that's where I'm heading right now, to test the massive rover on the bottom of this ship:
  4. could you explain better what that settings file fix is? I've been looking for that for a while.
  5. he said you can toggle the engines. so it's just 0% or 100% throttle.
  6. good! Vall is an interesting place... you may want to check out the areas around the south pole, and see if something catches your attention
  7. surely you do. it's left click on hatches. sorry to hear it doesn't work, though.
  8. practice, practice, practice. sorry but it's true, it's a motor skill you have to develop was quite hard for me as well in the beginning: I repeated the EVA training scenario a lot of times.
  9. yeah you can actually trick the game, the Kerbal just has to be at a certain distance from the seat: they could be on top of two different 100m high towers, separated by only a couple of meters or so, and it will still be able to board it.
  10. 17% payload fraction? using mainsails? - whoa, ninja'd.
  11. sorry to rain on your parade, but that's wrong: descending node doesn't necessarily mean inner planets, in the same way that ascending node doesn't necessarily mean outer planets. other than that, good job: now it's time to test your skills on a juicy target like Jool
  12. you went for vertical assembly, I would have chosen horizontal assembly might give this a shot, with 0.20 we now have large docking ports which should make building 2.5m rockets on the ground easier.
  13. "weight" is commonly used as a synonym of "mass", even though it is not scientifically correct.
  14. what if I destroy the radar tower and all the patrols? is there still a time limit then, both to reach the prison and to escape from it?
  15. so that weight already included the EVA suit, and now it's higher. hmmm. but where did you get the exact values?
  16. hey thanks for updating this. I don't know if your pack is the same as the one linked by KasperVld on the first page, but there's a little thing you could fix: the hexagonal probe core appears two times - that is because it is both in the Command and in the Control part folders.
  17. I see. some time ago Jason Patterson built an Eve return ship using only 1.25m parts - and no docking ports, so he had to launch it and get it to Eve in a single piece if he stops by, he's going to destroy all of our attempts and gain 9000 points
  18. how can radial boosters not be allowed if radial decouplers are?
  19. a while back somebody calculated the weight of a Kerbal at ~30 kg. with the knowledge base now reporting it at 90 kg while in EVA, this puts the weight of the EVA suit itself at 60 kg - two times the guy inside
  20. I was thinking about doing this, but maybe you should define the rules better. for example, what does "same style as the video" mean, exactly? using 3 orange tanks for an Eve transfer stage is serious overkill
  21. debris on the ground is one thing, moving objects are another. don't know where you took that 10 km value from.
  22. I think it's a little more complex than that. launching from Kerbin, if you're below ~23 km and jettison a stage (let's say some SRBs), after you get more than 2.5 km away from that stage, it will disappear, even if you put a probe core on each of the jettisoned boosters. this is because on Kerbin any object below ~23 km (where atmospheric pressure is 0.01) is deleted if it is not A) controlled by the player within ~2.5 km of the ship controlled by the player
  23. the wiki entry about the Sun/Kerbol hasn't been written by Squad.
