Moving on... What method does everyone use to convert images to .dds format? Sigma Sent me this image to help me out. But the problem is that the .dds addon I have for GIMP doesn't seem to show the same options for save settings. How should this be set in GIMP? Can anyone suggest their favorite (preferrably FREE) .dds conversion tool? Also the SETTINGS used for such a tool?- 141 replies

The LGPL license is included for, and redistributed along with Kopernicus. (License.txt) The CC-SA license is included for, and redistributed along with ModuleManager. (ModuleManagerLicense.md) Asclepius is released under CC0. (license for Asclepius is in AsclepiusInstallation.txt) I'll put the LGPL license IN the Kopernicus folder for my next release... My papers should be in order sir. It shouldn't be too long... I have to update MM, and Kopernicus as well since they both just got an update. *edit*- Also, I am in need of help converting the .png's in Asclepius to .dds format to save RAM. (thanks to Sigma88 for the help so far)- 141 replies

No serious thought has gone into it's placement so far. The install I'm developing on has New Horizons installed (excellent as a reference), and right now it is just placed "wherever". I'm thinking it makes a good saturn/neptune analogue? So maybe just further out than jool for a stock, 1 system add-on. I started making this system as "filler" for my Asclepius system in the Galactic Neighborhood mod because Sigma refused to let different planet packs mingle, and I thought it would be pointless to travel to a diffrent star systems full of planets that you already visited. Just finished another moon (this one started out as the 4096 heightmap texture for Europa from RSS), then I pasted on a 512x512 USGS scan of a large lunar crater, then copy/resized/repasted/retouch/transformed a smaller canyon into the larger canyon). I also painted it a "super cool" Minmus motif. it also has some PQS things going on from it's Minmus template, but I thought it looked cool so I left it in. I updated the d/l in the OP, and added a license- 125 replies

Augustus- I'm not sure if I understand your question. All parameters are subject to change. Tellion- I got the textures for Meelo here LINK (it's the Sheol texture, I removed the color from it.) You are right though, that IS a modified heightmap of Venus. Sketti is a photoshopped pic of some noodles. Kronkus is a a composite of a Neptune texture, and Vanor's texture overlayed and levels messed with... The main continent on Kersex is Ireland (also Malta, and a Hawaiian island donated heightmaps from the USGS)- 125 replies

The Kronkus system - Kopernicus Planet Pack by MrChumley This mod adds a ringed gas giant with 4 moons. It is ready for career mode with full integration into the stock game. Completely new biomes with custom science, and new secrets to discover. Textures have been optimized for quick loading, and low memory use. Includes: 1 GAS GIANT Kronkus: Huge purple ringed gas giant orbiting between Dres and Jool 4 MOONS Eahpeh: The icy shepherd moon that weaves its way through the rings of Kronkus. Kersex: It's the "Almost Kerbin" home away from home. A whole new frontier with towering mountains, desolate deserts, and fjords that stretch as far as the eye can see. Meelo: Next, is Meelo. The middle moon. Orbits outside Kersex. It's monotone colors are home to the most "sensible" moon in the Kronkus system. Scool: The outermost, tidally-locked, dusty snowball moon of the Kronkian system. Known issues: Kerbin space center "looks weird": Using Kerbin template causes the sky to be incorrect in the space center view. It is, however, correct in the flight view and the flight map view. Kersex has extra ground station(s): The extra ground station is hard coded into the Kerbin template (Which Kersex relies on) and cannot be removed (as far as I know). After extensive testing, I have determined that the extra base has minimal impact on gameplay. During career mode the station cannot be upgraded so its range is extremely limited. Enabling extra ground stations is not recommended. Asclepius must be kept in it's own star system, So I am working on a few "small additions" to fill out the neighborhood.

Hey Guys! Thanks for including Asclepius in your pack! By default it is made to be an easy to get to place, so leaving it as a part of the Kerbol would be fine by me. It would also make good "Inner planet" for the outer planets system. I also wrote a .cfg for New Horizons compatibility, and it could replace laythe so it doesn't have to get used twice. So those are my suggestions, and I can't decide. So here is A Straw Poll

Hey HMV! I like the idea of achievement based part acquisition. So, I tried out your contracts.. brand new game/save stock +CC and MM Problems I experienced: 1. The car did not appear at first, after I ran to where it was, and it was not there, then I checked the tracking station and it was there after reloading from there.. Dunno what caused this? 2. The car was moving... I fixed this in my contract that spawns a plane at the edge of a cliff by editing the .craft file and changing the brakes to engaged = true on the 2 rear wheels. (they would go back to normal after toggling the brakes) 3.My car didn't have a kerbal - totally my bad.. operator error 4.The plane contract was unclear, and/or the plane was not functional. (I was not able to get engines to activate through staging in my contracts either, I got around that by assigning hotkeys to toggle the engines.) Excellent pack! *edit- I got it to work after getting a kerbal on board.- 5,206 replies

This is a fresh install with just Asclepius v0.7 (Kerbalstuff D/L), and OPM. The problem must be on your end. If you provide more details (which D/L did you use? log files?) it is more likely that you will receive support.- 141 replies

That texture is procedurally generated by VertexSimlexHeight (I think ) I didn't remove all the PQS mods from the Laythe Template and it is a relic from that. The ground on Asclepius has looked like that for awhile... You just couldn't tell from space. Update 8-7-15 Changes (Asclepius v0.7) Fixed "splashed" science definitions. Reduced normal map size (still looks great, but uses less memory!) "unbundled" Contract Configurator, E.V.E. Clouds, and distant object enhancement in Kerbalstuff download. Hello Corax. Thanks for stopping by and providing some input. I'll take that into consideration on my next update and make it just "bare bones". edit I updated Github. You can Download the .zip from there. It doesn't include any dependencies. And you are guaranteed the latest version I'm also working on a wiki over there too. /edit On the other hand, I might keep a link with "tested and working" dependencies included. Did you ever get any farther than a probe? The atmosphere should be pretty un-interesting unless you get down below 3500 meters or so... To call Kruel "uninteresting" without having tried it is... Uninformed.- 141 replies
