  1. Is there a mod that adds 5m parts? I mean to make an Apollo replica as well, but it is easiest with 5m parts.
  2. Wait, that movie is out already? But, no advertisements yet! How long have I been living under a rock for? I am dying to see it!
  3. I am going to practice interplanetary transfers, only using the Mün instead of Kerbin. I would also like to work on precision landings on both atmospheric and non-atmospheric bodies.
  4. I am really excited for this update! I can't wait to see what these implementations will lead to (progress tracker to develop into a really cool feature, apparently. KSC museum? )
  5. Only after I plot the downfall of Soviet Krussia, have a revolution, make up a new national anthem, redesign the flag, and go back to the original anthem because everyone hated the new one will I get back to playing the actual game. So, after all of that. I will mourn the loss of my infiniglider, then I'll do orbital stuff (more math: actually caring about TWR, ÃŽâ€v, etc.) and then I'll recreate my first Mün landing. I'm going to skip the first station because station, and get right on with establishing a refueling station. I hope to get to other planets before 0.22!
  6. Scott Manley helped me dock! All hail Manley!
  7. I'm so sorry for you, but what you did is very nice. I am sure your late aunt would greatly approve.
  8. Well, I can't really say; I am no expert either. But having watched those videos, I agree: they are hardly temperatures anymore. They only call it 'hotter' and 'colder' because of a few similar characteristics. Perhaps the term 'imaginary temperature' is more fitting?
  9. I do not believe it will be available just yet. Just the foundations. It's coming soon, though. Very soon...
  10. Yes! I was thinking the exact same thing a few days ago. I didn't really think about why, though.
  11. I have heard that negative temperatures are actually very warm, in a sense. Extremes of temperatures (not in the range of 0 - 1.41 • 10^32 degrees Kelvin are extremely interesting: so hot or cold they are no longer temperatures. I bet I can find some interesting YouTube videos on this... > 1.41 • 10^32 degrees Kelvin. < 0 degrees Kelvin. Here you go, enjoy!
  12. Well, I suppose I'll miss my illogical number of satellites all in equatorial orbit, but I am certainly looking forward to this next update (they are deciding to add some really cool new features in exchange for a month more development time, right?). I'll finish the stations I am building now, then begin a very elaborate de-construction process where I deorbit EVERYTHING! I would like to attempt a respectable Munbase, though.
  13. Congradulations! I remember how difficult my first time was; landing on the Mün is no easy task! But I'd say a Minmus landing shouldn't be to difficult. You can probably do it with the same vehicle you used to get to the Mün. After that, I'd recommend stations and interplanetary probes. I haven't gotten to far into either, though. So, go boldly where no Kerbal has gone before! Let nothing stand in the way of the mighty Kerbal Rocketocracy!
  14. I have a glider craft that can easily do 600 m/s at sea level. I use a rocket-on-wheels to launch it (which only gets it up to 250 m/s), but for some reason it keeps on accelerating until nearly Mach 2. I have the FAR mod installed, by the way. I have pictures, but they're on my computer, which I do not have at the moment. I'll try to post pictures eventually!
  15. What did I just watch...? So, let me try: Kerman, KèrmÄÂn, KérmÃ¥n, Kêrmãn, Kërmán, KÄ“rmän, KÄ—rmân, and KÄ™rmân. Did I get them all? All jokes aside, though, I am currently studying Russian, and in Russian there's a pesky thing called stress, which may completely change the meaning of the word and is nearly completely randomly placed. For example, ÷ðüþú (zah-mak) is 'castle', but ÷ðüþú (zuh-mok) is 'lock'. A really good example of this is üуúð (moo-kah, 'flour') and üуúð (moo-kuh, 'torture'). :/ Rather similar to whatever that video was about.
  16. Unlike most modern space programs (or at least unlike NASA), I tend to actually do stuff. However, much of the stuff I come up with tons of "viable" ideas, but they never really get past the testing phase.
  17. Just my two cents: Who says we have to simulate the entire galaxy? We may only want to simulate a small local cluster of a dozen or less stars. If we want to have the whole galaxy, though, I thought I heard somewhere about procedurally generated most star systems, but I don't know. I am just extremely pleased that this game exists.
  18. Thanks for sharing this; it brought a smile to my face. The more people we can get interested in the aerospace industry, the more awesome our lives will be. I also *attempted* to price together a presentation on Jebediah Kerman and how awesome he is with two other friends. But, because middle school, no such luck in garnering any interest or much of a reaction at all. But really, who cares about my life? You seem like a really intelligent and interesting person (I'm resisting my urge to call you "kid" due to the fact that there is less than two years between us ). I'm not sure whether or not (like me) they ar /going to quarantine you away from the extremely terrifying normal kids who are like Castro or Putin but instead of repressing free speech they repress knowledge and hopeful futures. Either way, you have a great amount of ambition: don't let anything get in the way of that! Nerds unite!
  19. Obsessing over every little advance in human spaceflight for 13 human years. I would like to pursue a career in astrophysics, although, thanks to this game, a job in rocket science is definitely an option. And (un)fortunately, due to my age, retiring to Mars should be possible, but I doubt it will be 'on the house' of spaceflight industries.
  20. SpaceEngine is a program that maps out the entire known universe (known as in "we know there's a planet there") and procedurally generates the rest. It's extremely fun to play with. I recommend you check out Scott Manley's videos on it, and then watch all of his other videos because that man is amazing.
  21. They appear to have a capitalist economy. There are tons of different providers for parts (Probodobodyne, Jeb's Junkyard, etc.) and at least one privately-owned pool company. So unless the absolutist Kerbal government is inept at gauging what what is good for their country (which, lets face it, they wouldn't), I would say capitalist is the most likely choice.
  22. You see, we really needed that restraining chair for Jeb, as well as that unicorn statue there, so yeah... Heh... I'm just going to walk this way now... Grade: G
  23. When you here about plans for missions for Mars and how the farthest we've gone is the Moon and its a great step forward and so on and so forth, and you think: "Why haven't we moved on to the real-life equivalent of Minmus?" I have caught myself thinking this so many times, it's not even amusing anymore. :|
  24. Nice job! I'm not quite there yet, I'm preoccupied with something else, but I plan on doing it Mars One style. Either way, I'm kind of frightened to go on to the other planets because I can only imaging how difficult ascent might be... So congradulations, and I wish you the best of luck!
