Do think that KSP is fine for what is is graphics wise. As someone mentioned on one of the first few pages. 8 bit, 2D games extremly low to ascii art style games are making a come back. Dwarf Fortress and Minecraft are two good examples of games people play that have what some might say bad graphics. But, they both make up for it in gameplay. Even though you do have to tend to be into S&M for DF. Failure is fun. =^.^=

Disable front braking, have 6-8+ wheels (depends on how big, long, and heavy it be; heavier needs moar wheels just to get it moving up hills), build long, try to keep it under 30 m/s (22 m/s is decent), use reverse to help slow down without needing to brake much, also remember to slow down well before you think you are going to go up over a hill/crater/mountain, when going down hill never go above 12 m/s if you can help it. As it is easy to suddenly be going 30 m/s+. For me the only reason to build and use a rover is to do an all in one mobile science gathering lab that can clean out the science parts as well as store infinite data. I did a Mün drive where I basicly gathered all the science I could gather from there using 2 rovers. Second reason to use rovers is for the challange of using them under such weird conditions. Rover on Gilly any one? =^.^=

I try to make sure to have it de-orbit on its own (if it is supposed to de-orbit on its own around Kerbin or any with an atmosphere and I don't feel like watching it due to needing to watch other craft then it gets terminated). Unless a kraken attack happens and whips it out. Had one that too out ships as well as debrise that where not making an SOI change. Edit: Also have it set to a lowish number. Just to make sure the kraken sleeps. As I noticed more things up there more likely it happens to me...

Moho and Eeloo have not been to since 0.19. Dres, Bop, Pol never sent anything too.Been a while since I hit Ike along with Gilly, Jool, Laythe, Vall, andf Tylo. Jool's 3 inner moons are hard for me to miss at times since I want to land on Laylth to try out planes.

Since in a way it is. As people have become burnt out. (Been playing "The Witcher" myself lately. Beat Turok 2008 pc one on hard). They seem to slowly stop coming here or else where to post. Have not seen whackjob in a while as well as a few others. Think it is likely they are waiting for an update that radically changes the game. Maybe. I do agree that it seems like there are less new people coming here. Hopefully that will change with 1.0.

Female kerbals and the original 3
Aragosnat replied to RainDreamer's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Well Jeb, Bill and Bob can always dress in drag in the mean time. But, on the whole I think it would be nice to have an option at start in what Kerbals we can use at start up. So if people waht to use the origanal 3. They should be allowed to do so. Also suit color should be represented when they EVA too and upgrade with experiance so that the lowly white suits can become orange. -
I still don't use them. I build my own. Nice idea. Just not useful for how I build ships.

I never bothered with the chase cam as well as the rest of the views. Found it annoying as hell. But, that is just me. Like what I mentioned in the dev notes. I use the docking mode extensively for well... Docking. Like the fact it swaps what the WASD keys do as I can then keep them glued to where they are. No touching keys I'm not supposed to by accident as I keep one hand on the mouse to orentate my view around the ship as well as quickly swap out of it to change back in case I need to swing the docking area around.

Problem is. If I already have 20000 points of unspent science. Then the admin is a worthless thing. As I cannot convert those saved ponts into Funds or Rep. True I could always re-aquire it to reduce it down. But, the thing is. I don't see a dime of it. Unless I edited it. But, yeah. Depending on how you go about it. You could easily stay within Kerbin's atmosphere (taking all the Historical altitude contracts 5k, 11k?, 22k? 33k? and 55k?) and do the the explore Kerbin till you have basic Jets. Which is not that hard to achieve on normal. Once at the point of Basic Jets. You will never have to leave Kerbin and don't even have to return the plane to the lumpy runway to make a profit and have a better science return some of the time then a Mun run. All within the 18 ton and 30 part limit. (Yes. I do realize you might need to know how to land without chutes if you want to return the plane back to KSC as well as the contact becomes better with more places needed to visit.) Also think that the current part and weight limit would be good for the level 0 look they have reworked on. But, the current look (a.k.a. level 1 look) does need to be inbetween the 30 to 255 part limit. Weight not sure as I have hit the 140 ton limit very easily even with a 30 part limit still there (just have to use the right parts. =^.^= ). Back on Science points. Way to easy to aquire them. Science points in contracts make it pointless to go beyond Kerbin's atmosphere and SOI. Even to an extent it makes it even pointless to explore Kerbin for science points with the exception of the landing pad and runway for quick points earily on.

Did nothing today. But, yestarday did beat Turok 2008 pc version on hard. Gave me a nice thoughs on how Kerbals might survive on other worlds with no snacks. Anyways slowly gearing up to playing KSP again.
-
Yeah. Either the local system for Kerbin needs to have their points nerfed and or the contracts should never give science points. Another way they could do it is have it like a one time use when converting science points to funds or rep. Which would give less the the current one. But, would deplete your science points down to 0. This would be very useful earily on as we can sometimes end up with a large stockpile of science points with nothing to spend them on due to the R&D costing so much to upgrade. Edit: Also when using it. The science points would drop to 0. Another way would be to let us get into the negitives for science and funds. As the starting cost for science to rep or funds is a bit excesive at the defualt level. Since most of the points we gain is a dink amount and would not help with our ever needing of moar funds anyways. But, should be optional kind of like with how we can fine tune our starts.

When you discover the Kraken drive which allows you to get to said beast. Just bewarned. You will lose all ships in orbit that are not in transistion to another SOI. But, yeah. New patch = new start.
-
Scary thing is... Jebediah is a real name used in quite a few things. But, yeah. A few of the Kerbal names do sound neat. Just don't expect the wife to be hppy about it.

Not in the least bit of cheating. Saves fuel, can help keep the craft in one piece more or less, and can be a nice way to get a pan-o-rama view of the surrounding area.
-
How close to being totally out of fuel have you been?
Aragosnat replied to Randazzo's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Gotten out and pushed way to many times. Also why waste fuel by letting them go splate into Kerbin. Little thing called part count and most of the time never enough to use chutes to get a softish landing. I know I have gotten very low before. Just nt sure how low. I know I have had to use mono to lower my orbit enough to get back to Kerbin when out of fuel. -
Needless to say one of my craft awoken the kracken: Needless to say it wiped out all my craft that had an orbit within Kerbin SOI. Only one craft was spared due to it heading to Minmus. So a tip. If you get the kracken drive. Reload.
-
Yeah. It certainly will make it a bit easier to refuel around planets outside of Kerbin's SOI. Might even make it cost effective for around Kerbin too as you don't need to lose any lower stages if you are not good at making SSTO craft. Plus they can be larger then SSTO craft as well. Just depends on how we go about it and how easy it is to get.

My girlfriend just surprised me with a KSP themed birthday
Aragosnat replied to JordanL's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Agree with everyone else. Don't let her get away. Take her to the moon or Mars. =^.^= -
"Explore" Contracts Out Of Order?
Aragosnat replied to Srpadget's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Yeah. There was a link of when the explore contract triggers. Think it was after you complete the Duna and Ika Contract. Then you do the Eve contract. That should pop up the Gilly contract. And to get the Explore Dres contract. You basicly need to do Jool and its moons if I remember right... =.= -
Do you feel KSP is ready for 1.0?
Aragosnat replied to hoojiwana's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
If they get the tutorial up and running well enough where it is easy to understand. Then the learning curve should not be as hard. Then again. I thought what they had was easy to figure out. Guess people either are dumb and or to lazy to learn. -
Send the up in pieces. How many depends on what I'm planning for it. Planning on having a station with a shuttle that transfers Kerbals and fuel to keep my part count below 400. Think I start to lag around 400-500? Better then the 200 part count I was at before.
-
Ah. Good to know. =^.^=

Did nothing with KSP today. Played Payday 2 to get back into thinking my Kerbals were robbing banks to get all their funds. But, on a KSP tip of the day. When playing on redirecting a asteroid. Always bring at least 10 times you think will be enough. Even then it still might not be enough. Also make sure you have a docking port available and easy to access too. Just in case you can keep it in Kerbin's SOI.

Need another option... Intentionally have debries de-orbit on its own without need of probes or pilots to help push it down. But, yeah. I try not to use the teminate button. Only time is when the object should have de-orbited on its own. But, due to how KSP works. Sometimes that does not happen as the object is to high up to be terminated by the game.

$32.39 with tax. Yes. Had to pay taxes. With over 2051 hours played from what steam says. $0.015792296 is per hour with no need to pay for expansions... So yeah. Thinking about buying it once more. But, direct from squad. Just need to sell moar blood. As I would like to play without steam running.
